The entire area was eerily quiet compared to before.

The morning sun shone above the battlefield, and a gentle breeze blew across, calm and peaceful, a deep contrast to what had just taken place.

The wild boars could still be seen crawling away from the serpent queen and into the thick bushes, scared that the massive snake monster would recover soon and come for them again.

The serpent queen, on the other hand, lay exhausted and wounded on the ground, her eyes barely open as weakness overwhelmed her entire body.

Floki did not step out of his hiding spot despite witnessing the scene before him.

After all, who knew whether the snake still had strength and was simply resting? Looks could be deceiving, especially in a situation like this.

Also, even if the snake was down to 50% of its original strength, she could still easily kill something as small and weak as Floki without much effort.

As a result, Floki patiently waited and observed for a few minutes, his eyes fixed on her movements, making sure there were no sudden changes before he finally decided to take action.

He equipped the greatsword from his inventory and set his plan in motion.

After a few careful movements here and there, he finally made it close to the serpent queen.

He could now see her massive body clearly. Her thick brown scales with black spots stood out, along with the wounds spread across her body, bleeding steadily and staining the ground beneath her.

He observed her movements, especially her upper body, for another couple of seconds before finally lashing out.

’I can do this.’

He assured himself as he swiftly reached the upper half of the serpent queen’s body.

Then, lifting his greatsword and utilizing the weapon proficiency and strength boost from [advanced martial arts], he leapt several meters into the air and sent the blade descending sharply toward the massive creature’s neck.

In the short moment between his leap and descent, the serpent queen’s eyes suddenly darted toward him.

The sharpness in that gaze was dangerous.

For a brief instant, his heart tightened.

But Floki did not let it deter him from landing the strike.

The sound of the long blade cutting deep into the serpent queen’s neck echoed clearly.

But unfortunately, despite all his effort, Floki could not kill the injured serpent queen in one strike.

HISSS!

The snake hissed, her voice filled with pain and anger.

Her body coiled slightly, but the movement was sluggish and predictable. She was completely exhausted, and it showed.

Floki steadied himself and pressed forward, ignoring her hisses.

He attacked again.

Stabs, his signature leap and downward cleaving, and several more strikes followed in quick succession, each one landing with force.

The serpent queen tried to react, but her movements were too slow.

Her resistance continued to weaken.

After repeated strikes, the neck of the massive creature was finally chopped off.

Floki could not hold back his surprise, seeing the astronomical amount of experience points and skill points he had received from just killing the serpent queen alone.

It was incredible.

Nevertheless, Floki was still bothered about something.

"System, so far, I haven’t received any skill or other form of rewards from my opponents. This serpent queen is several ranks stronger than me based on the amount of experience points and skill points I got from killing it. At least the level difference should have triggered another form of result, or is that feature locked away from me as well due to my Hell-level difficulty mission?" Floki asked while his eyes turned to scan the fleeing wild boars whom he intended to kill as well.

"How do I increase my luck? So far, I have tried to increase it with free stat points, but it doesn’t seem to work." He asked, closing the distance with the nearest wild boar whose limbs had been shattered by the serpent queen.

He lifted his greatsword and killed it while awaiting the system’s response.

[ Luck is not a stat that can be increased with free stat points. Luck can either be increased by obtaining blessings, rare artifacts, special monster cores, or gifts from other systems such as the Wheel of Legacy and others. ]

Floki first ignored the system’s explanation while he observed the points he had gotten from the wild boar.

His eyes turned back to the wild boars, and he went ahead to complete his slaughtering mission without hesitation.

Unfortunately, its troubled and weakened state reduced its magic precision badly, and its aim was off by a large margin.

The pillar erected several meters in front of Floki instead of his current position.

Seeing its failed attack, it used its last strength to drag its gigantic body faster in a desperate attempt to escape.

Unfortunately, Floki closed the distance in a swift move and slew the beast without giving it any chance to react.
