10,000x Reward Multiplier: Hell-level Kingdom Building - Chapter 51: [0] Breeze (2)
Floki could tell at once, the moment he stepped into his territory, that something was wrong.
As if to prove his point, numerous notifications flashed before him in rapid succession.
[ Your Villagers are troubled ]
[ Your village is under attack ]
[ Quest: Rescue your Villagers has been triggered ]
....
Floki did not bother to read all of them before blasting into the village with a serious expression on his face.
He crossed the farmlands and several huts in a matter of seconds, and as he reached deeper into his village, he saw the cause of the alerts clearly.
Twenty armoured men were beating his people, who were laid helplessly on the ground against their will. Nearby, the horses stood restless, and an elderly man sat atop one of them, calmly observing everything.
His eyes met with the eyes of the man, and he immediately noticed the horror within them.
The soldiers also halted their actions and turned to look at his approaching figure, fear appearing in their eyes.
After all, his speed was far beyond normal human limits.
Floki closed the distance with a final burst of speed.
He reached the first soldier closest to him and sent him flying backward with a single punch, the man crashing heavily into the horses behind him. He did not exert his full strength, as his intent was not to kill. Killing them now would ruin the plan he had to take down Blackstone.
The remaining nineteen soldiers quickly unsheathed their swords, attempting to fight him, but all of them combined were not enough to cause him any real trouble.
With single, precise strikes, he sent each of them flying backward or rolling across the ground like ragdolls.
The twenty horses belonging to the soldiers neighed loudly and fled in panic, frightened by the sudden burst of violence.
He could clearly see the elderly man’s horrified movements as he tried to spur his horse to flee.
But Floki did not give him the opportunity. After all, this man was the one responsible for his people’s suffering.
He leapt toward the man and caught him, forcefully shoving him off his horse. The horse immediately fled, abandoning its master without hesitation.
Floki gripped the man by the neck and lifted him up with ease, causing him to wheeze and struggle desperately for air.
At that moment, the villagers began to rise one after another to witness the overwhelming strength of their young chief.
Despite the pain in their bodies, their eyes shone with amazement as they silently thanked him in their hearts for coming to their rescue.
Jabba and Anton struggled to get up.
Seeing Floki gripping the old man and witnessing the current state of the soldiers who once overpowered them, the two of them realized just how strong their young chief had become.
"How dare you!"
Floki’s cold voice rang out, his fury clear in his tone.
"How dare you step into my territory and torture my people?"
He asked again, his voice even colder than before, lacking any trace of emotion.
The elder struggled even more as fear overwhelmed him.
He could not believe that the same weakling of a chief had become this strong in such a short time.
The last time he came here, he had seen how their weakest soldiers beat this same person until he was near death.
What kind of change could have taken place for him to become this terrifying? He wondered.
On the other hand, being ignored only infuriated Floki further. He clenched his fist and punched the elder in his chest, forcing him back to reality.
"You have bitten more than you can chew this time," Floki said in a cold tone.
He turned back and saw that all the villagers were looking at him, most of them with admiration, while a few had disbelief and fear written clearly on their faces.
Floki lifted the man even higher so that everyone could see him clearly.
Then he tossed him to the ground and stepped on his stomach before addressing his people.
"I am sorry I was away for too long and let these bastards lay their filthy hands on you," he apologized sincerely.
If he had known Blackstone was coming to the village, he would have postponed his solo hunting trip without hesitation.
The villagers reacted positively to his apology, their expressions softening slightly despite their injuries.
Floki looked down at the man who was struggling beneath him.
He had never killed any human before, but right now, a strong urge to kill rose within him.
After all, this same elder was the one who had ordered the beating of his original body’s owner, leading to his death.
And yet this person had returned to repeat the same cruelty, even going as far as beating everyone, including the elderly and children.
Floki could not forgive him easily, but at the same time, he needed this person alive.
He needed all the soldiers alive.
They would tell him everything he needed to know about Blackstone, about their lord, about their army, and about his knight.
And with that information, he would visit Blackstone before they could come for him again.
With this plan in mind, he observed his people’s reactions.
He could see the vengeance in their eyes as they glared at the soldiers writhing on the ground.
He could see even more anger in Jabba and Anton. After all, the death of Viktor was most likely caused by these people.
He could even use this opportunity to find out who had truly killed Viktor.
"Everyone, you have the opportunity to return the favor to these bastards. Beat them as much as you like, but do not kill them. They are more useful to us alive than dead," he began.
With his words, the villagers, despite their battered state, picked up any blunt weapons they could find and slowly approached the soldiers.
What followed was satisfying to witness but devastating for the soldiers, whose cries spread across the entire village.
Jabba and Anton’s loud voices could be heard as they demanded to know the identity of their brother’s killer.
But the answer they received shocked them greatly — it was no other than Breeze.
