"Who is that?"

The vice chairman, standing next to the chairman in the tinted glass-like balcony, asked.

He wasn’t asking the chairman but the female assistant who stood behind him at his left, wearing a black suit with a skirt, and holding a clipboard in her hands.

The assistant stepped forward to the vice chairman, her jet black hair dancing with her movement.

"Who do you mean, Sir?"

The vice chairman pointed at Aegon who at this time was already walking out from the crowd, and said.

"That one... who is he?"

The assistant didn’t need to look forward as she had already caught a glimpse of him before.

"Of course, he is a new Awakener, who got his license not quite long, and he’s a F-rank. There’s nothing else about him that is known. Not his past, nothing. I don’t think he’s worth your time."

The vice chairman John, turned to look at the chairman who was at his right side. The chairman didn’t look back, because his gaze was on Aegon; as he walked away.

Just then, at this moment the entire hall was bathed with the golden light that came from Aegon, and after covering him, he vanished.

Upon seeing this, the chairman turned to John, who was surprised to see what had just happened.

John turned to the chairman and saw that he had little to no expression on his face. Not many words were said, but from his eyes alone, John understood stood him clearly.

The chairman gave the the gaze of an order and before walking away, said;

"I want to know who that man is"

After saying this, he left and then John turned to his assistant who had her head down.

"Nothing for me to worry about, isn’t that right?"

The assistant didn’t say anything since she knew she had already messed up, and would not want to upset John any further.

"Dig all the information about that Awakener and bring it to me before the end of the week, I want to know who he is."

"Yes, Sir."

The assistant replied and moved backwards with her head still down, and after a certain distance between them, she left.

John turned back to the glass, looking at the crowd who were still in shock, he placed his right palm on the glass and uttered.

"A new Awakener who is F-rank, having a return stone? How is that possible?"

A golden light appeared in an open area, followed by a human dressed in a sleek outfit.

He wasn’t meant for this world, yet he was here and was ready to dominate it.

Aegon came out and looked at his surroundings.

"Where am I? Is this the Abyss? Of course, only the Abyss can look like this."

The area was dark, only getting light from the circular red blood moon above. In front of Aegon was a vast ocean that stretched wider than he could see.

The ocean was black and moved in a clock-wise direction. At the center of the ocean there was a spiral hole rotation as the water moved around.

It was as though the hole was drinking the ocean but at the same time refilling it. There was no way to comprehend how it worked, because the ocean wasn’t reducing nor increasing.

Aegon was situated at the shore of the ocean, his gaze stretching far wide to the end of the ocean which he could barely see.

He looked at the sky and saw the red blood moon with no clouds around it. The sky had no clouds nor stars, just the moon.

He brought his head down, and looked at his boots which were already soaked in the wet sand.

He then looked to his left and right, the ocean also stretched far wide on both sides, nothing else could be seen, but water.

Just then, he was about to turn around when he heard a strange sound.

GRRR!!

Quickly his senses became active and he knew that something bad was at his back. A monster, and not a friendly one.

His neck was already half around but he couldn’t risk it, he wasn’t sure how far or close it was to him, but one thing was for certain, if he turned any further he could loose his head.

’What should I do?’

In that moment, a wind blew, the ocean moving in a rhythm while Aegon’s coat danced in the wind, with this he got an idea.

’What else is there to do?’

He instantly turned around and before he could complete a full turn, a massive claw that looked like a crab’s, came flying to his head.

However, with a quick sense and agility, Aegon was able to dodge it by doing a triple backflip to the right side of the shore.

The monster missed and found itself in the ocean, the water moved to its feet and back, then it turned to its side and gazed at Aegon.

At this moment, he had already gained his balance and stood a couple steps away from the monster.

He arranged his clothes, setting them well, to look good, then he gazed at the monster in front of him.

Before Aegon, was a tall huge crustacean crab, easily the size of a beachside cottage, standing so high on its spiky spear-like legs that made Aegon look like a bug beneath it.

Its main claws were the scariest part; thick, heavy slabs of armor that looked strong enough to crush a boulder into dust.

Up close, its face was a mess of twitching feelers and dark, oily eyes that watched every move with a cold hunger. Every time it shifted its heavy feet, the sands literally shook, making it clear that this wasn’t just any monster, but a monster that owned the shore and was ready to defend it.

The monster came out of the water to the sand and stood in front of Aegon. While it moved, its eyes were fixed at Aegon and didn’t take them off him.

Aegon too, stood at the front of the monster with a distance between them. His eyes moved to the side of the monster looking at his bag pack.

It had fallen off him when he did a backflip, very important things were there and he hoped the monster couldn’t see it and damage it.

’I need to get to the bag, but first I need to end this quickly.’ he said these words inwardly and just then, the system appeared before him.

Aegon had thought that the time which was given was too much since he could easily erase the monster in a second.

However, little did he know that there were other factors playing a role in this place.

"You are just another one of the Abyss monsters, and just like the others, I’ll send you into the void."

After saying this, he dashed forward as he was ready for a close battle, rather than a long range.

With a long range combat, it wouldn’t even be called a battle anymore because he would just erase the monster with ease.

But here, he wanted to have some fun and experience how much his stats had grown.

"Warp Fist!"

As the words left his mouth, his fists were engulfed in a purple flame-like energy, and with this he landed a single blow on the monster.

However, there was no impact on the monster and just then the system appeared before him once again, displaying.

Looking at this, only one word left his lips.

"What?"

It was unexpected but just then, the monster was bringing both of its claws in a massive speed to crush the head of the mere human before it.
