Yu Xiuzhun’s body shook, and he turned back in shock to glance at the tightly closed door.

"Mr. Yu, Dan Hanjie and the others are already waiting in the living room. If you don’t go down soon, I’m afraid they’ll barge in." The butler anxiously reminded him from the side.

Upon hearing this, Qin Youxuan also looked towards the staircase, noticing Yu Xiuzhun was alone, she furrowed her brow.

Wanting to ask for someone, yet she contained her temper.

"It’s an honor to have Mr. Jie visit; I should have been informed earlier so that I could greet you outside and not keep you waiting." Yu Xiuzhun spoke but displayed no hint of apology.

The flattering words were eloquently spoken; yet, his sinister eyes carried a glint of coldness.

With a wave, he instructed the Yu family’s bodyguards to withdraw and then walked forward and casually sat on the sofa.

Looking at the empty table, his gaze darkened, "Where has everyone gone? How can there be no tea or water when honored guests visit? Madam Dan prefers plain water, isn’t preparing that minimal courtesy?"

"My apologies for the lack of hospitality, Mr. Yu, I beg your forgiveness. I’ll go and prepare immediately," the butler hurriedly stepped forward to take responsibility. Seeing Yu Xiuzhun did not say anything, he quickly turned and went to the kitchen.

Qin Youxuan sat beside Dan Hanjie, hearing Yu Xiuzhun mention plain water, her brow twitched.

The calm and unhurried demeanor seemed as if he completely disregarded Jin Chenye.

The arrogant attitude involuntarily stirred anger.

Jin Chenye squinted and abruptly stood up.

"Don’t understand? Mr. Yu sure is forgetful, involving yourself in the Ye family’s business, tampering behind the scenes, setting traps to trap me, then abducting people. Have these methods also slipped your mind?"
