Chapter 516: Laboratory Completed

At the dining table, Li Caixia asked a lot about Jiang Yuxiu’s family, and Jiang Yuxiu honestly told her, even though Xu Minghui had already talked about these things at home.

Li Caixia was quite satisfied with her future daughter-in-law; there was nothing to complain about in every aspect.

Xu Mumu also felt she was okay, but who knows if this girl can handle her mom? With Li Caixia’s temper, if she upsets Li Caixia, she’d probably have a rough time.

She didn’t say these things; it’s something Xu Minghui should consider himself. She couldn’t be bothered to think about it.

After having a meal here, Xu Minghui left with the others. He still had to attend to matters at the department store, and Jiang Yuxiu, being unfamiliar with the place, followed Xu Minghui over.

"I think this girl is quite nice. I don’t understand why your son is being so picky." Li Caixia simply couldn’t stand her silly son’s behavior. This surely wasn’t inherited from her; it must be from the kid’s father!

"Exactly, with such a good girl, if he doesn’t hold on tight, what will happen if someone else takes her away?" Madam Chen agreed.

Xu Mumu twitched her mouth. Marriage is at least a two-person matter. Seeing her brother’s somewhat timid expression, this seems like it’ll take some time.

When they got home, it was still early. Xu Mumu took the little brother back for a nap while Madam Chen and the others were going to watch the shop.

The fast-food restaurant needed tidying up, and even though the mini-mart wasn’t during school break times, there were occasional sounds. The couple was working hard to earn more money.

Feeling a bit tired, Xu Mumu went to bed early. The little guy also slept every day. With Xu Mumu accompanying him, he didn’t make a fuss and soon fell asleep.

When Xu Mumu woke up again, it was the little guy who woke her up. She looked at the time, realizing it was already past four o’clock. That nap was quite lengthy.

The TV outside was on, and the little guy was happily watching it. On the table was a small bag filled with candies, and the little guy was blissfully sitting in front of the TV, watching.

"Sis, you’re up, have some candy." The little guy handed a piece of candy to Xu Mumu.

"I’m not eating. How much candy have you eaten?" This candy was left at home by Madam Chen for this little brat to eat.

"Not much, just a few pieces." The little brat looked a bit guilty. The candies in the small bag were almost all eaten by him.

Xu Mumu twitched her mouth. She knew how much candy was in this little bag when they returned at noon. Now, only a few pieces were left.

"These candies are supposed to last you a month. If you finish them all now, you won’t get any more until next month." Xu Mumu said seriously, not wanting the little guy to eat too much candy since it could rot his teeth, and too much isn’t good for his health.

"There’s some left, I haven’t finished them." The little brat looked at the candy. He certainly knew what his sister said, but with candy right there, he couldn’t resist and ate a bit more. He already held back a lot, otherwise, none would be left.

It’s just the beginning of the month, and if he can’t have more candy, the little brat felt like the sky was falling, looking at his sister with grievance.

"Alright then, I’ll keep these for you, and you can have some in a few days. From now on, you can only have one piece every two days." Xu Mumu was amused by the little brat’s pitiful look. The little guy was just too cute.

"I want to find dad." The little guy got off the stool and held Xu Mumu’s hand, wanting to find dad.

Dad’s mini-mart had lots of snacks. If mom wasn’t there, dad would secretly give him some to eat.

Xu Mumu didn’t know the little brat had so many plans. Since he wanted to see dad, she took him there. She packed the candies, turned off the TV, and led the little guy towards the store.

By the time Xu Mumu and the others arrived, it was quite late. Some students had already finished school, and the business here was pretty good.

There wasn’t much need for Xu Mumu to help out here, so she just played with the little guy.

As soon as the little guy arrived, he wanted to find his dad. At this moment, Xu Hai was introducing the products to some students; he personally sourced these goods and knew them well.

Xu Mumu noticed that her dad was quite good at talking, clearly piquing the interest of the two boys.

Besides selling various stationery, the mini-mart also offered various study materials obtained from Huo Qingze. At Xu Mumu’s family store, Xu Hai got these items at a cheaper price.

The business here was getting on track, and there was no need for Xu Mumu to keep accounts since Li Caixia was doing that. Judging by their good spirits every day, it seemed like they were making quite a bit of money.

Over at Yin Yang’s place, he quickly sent over the lab equipment, which made Xu Mumu extremely happy. She had been tired of moving things for the store daily; the lab was truly her favorite. She missed all that equipment.

Once everything was mostly delivered, Xu Mumu got into Yin Yang’s car and headed for the village. The road had been repaired, so it didn’t take long for the car to reach the community office.

The community was bustling now, and the farmhouse-style restaurant had officially opened for business, attracting quite a crowd.

Besides tourists, many were curious about this business model. Quite a few people came to check it out, planning to learn and start their own since the business here was quite good.

The community school recruited quite a few students this semester but only kids from nearby communities. Junior high students would be recruited after the primary schools graduated later this year.

The community leader wasn’t worried about getting students for their school, which was built better than provincial middle schools, equipped with all facilities like laboratories and libraries, and had strong faculty.

At the lab, Xu Mumu and Yin Yang entered together. It was neat and clean inside, filled with all the equipment she needed, making Xu Mumu immensely satisfied. Yin Yang’s efficiency was just amazing; she loved it.

"See if anything is missing. I’ll have it sent over for you." Yin Yang said gently.

"Nothing for now. I’ll let you know if I think of anything." Xu Mumu said happily.

"Alright, whatever you say." Yin Yang nodded.

With the lab set up, the next day Xu Mumu brought her things over. The little brother wanted to come play too, but Xu Mumu didn’t let him. Once she got busy, she wouldn’t be able to keep an eye on the little brat. If he damaged any equipment or got hurt, that would be troublesome.

The little brat sulked for a long time until Li Caixia directly took him away, allowing Xu Mumu to finally leave.
