During the time when the little kids were competing, the meals at home were good, and of course, the happiest one was Fengfeng.

Now that Xu Mumu’s belly is big, the little guy knows he can’t just pounce on his sister or let her carry him. Every day when he returns, he runs to Xu Mumu to tell her what he learned at school.

With better meals now, Xu Minglei and the others didn’t seem to put on weight, but Fengfeng became noticeably chubbier, and his relationship with his chubby deskmate improved.

The little guy didn’t hide it from his sister. He told her about wanting to take his nephew to play with Yu Yi.

Xu Mumu found it funny and exasperating. This little guy even learned to show off.

"Sister, do you think if I don’t take my nephew to play with Yu Yi, will he get mad? He’s only got me as a friend, he’s so timid, and he cries easily." The little guy said, worried.

"If you explain it to him clearly, he definitely won’t get mad," Xu Mumu said with a smile. This little guy had thought of quite a bit, but he truly cared about this friend of his.

"Really? But he cries easily. What if I can’t console him?" The little guy hesitated.

"Then you can bring him something he likes to eat and take him to play more often," Xu Mumu suggested with a smile, realizing that Yu Yi was an introverted kid. Thankfully, her little brother was outgoing; otherwise, the two might not have been able to play together.

"He likes to eat candy, but Mom says eating too much candy will give you cavities, so he can’t have too much. Oh, he also likes the cookies Madam Chun makes. I won’t eat these then; I’ll take them to him tomorrow." The little guy looked at the cookies he almost finished eating reluctantly but still decided to give them to Yu Yi.

"These are all for you. Madam Chun made a lot, and I’ll pack some in a small jar for you tomorrow." Xu Mumu said with a smile. Even though her little brother could be mischievous and make people itch to lecture him, he listened to many things the family said.

"Sister, I really like you. Yu Yi envies me for having brothers and sisters." The little guy said in surprise, looking at his sister. She was gentle when she spoke, more so than his favorite Mr. Chen. His sister always helped him come up with ideas.

"Okay, okay." Xu Mumu patted the little guy on the head.

That night, Xu Mumu had Madam Chun make some cookies and put them in a jar. Since Xu Mumu couldn’t wake up early, she asked Madam Chun to give the jar to the little guy.

Once at school, the little guy took Yu Yi aside to have a chat.

"Yu Yi, I can’t bring my nephew to play with you anymore," the little guy said seriously, holding Yu Yi’s hand.

"Why? Doesn’t he want to play with us?" Yu Yi asked quietly, a bit disappointed.

"No, my nephew is still in my sister’s belly, not born yet, and it’ll be a long time before he can walk..." The little guy rambled, explaining a lot. After playing with Xu Mumu last night, he specifically asked his mom about many things about pregnancy and confidently started educating Yu Yi.

When Mr. Chen came to start class, he found two kids missing from their seats. Stepping out, he found them at the planter outside the classroom.

The two kids were whispering to each other, and Mr. Chen smiled helplessly.

"Xu Mingfeng and Yu Yi, class is about to start. What are you two doing here?" Mr. Chen’s gentle voice came from behind them.

"Hello, Mr. Chen," Yu Yi said, his face turning red with embarrassment, feeling like he might explode. Already shy, getting caught by his teacher made him unsure of where to put his hands and feet.

"No, I was apologizing to Yu Yi because I can’t bring my nephew to play with him," Fengfeng said seriously.

"So, did you apologize?" Mr. Chen asked with a smile. Xu Mingfeng was definitely among the liveliest in the classroom, and Mr. Chen quite liked him. Some kids were more introverted, and sometimes it was hard to get a response from them in class.

But with Xu Mingfeng, it was different. Whatever Mr. Chen said, even if Xu Mingfeng didn’t understand, he would respond, making the class atmosphere more lively.

"I apologized, and Yu Yi forgave me," the little guy said proudly, puffing out his chest.
