Seth Quinn didn’t answer. Instead, he showed her exactly what he wanted to do by capturing her lips in a kiss.

’If gifts won’t appease her, then I’ll just have to please her in bed!’

As his lips sealed hers, Clara Grant felt her breath catch. Every time Seth Quinn kissed her, she found herself quickly getting lost in it.

This time, however, after a fleeting moment of being lost, she snapped back to reality. A sliver of fear shot through her, and she began to struggle with all her might.

’What is Seth Quinn doing? Hasn’t the woman he loves already returned? So why is he pinning me down like this, completely disregarding everything?’

’Could it be that he feels short-changed? We’ve been married all this time, but he’s never truly touched me. Is he thinking it would be a loss to divorce me without this?’

Clara Grant truly couldn’t think of any other explanation.

"Don’t move. Focus," Seth Quinn said, seeing her struggle. He pinned her hands down, his lips parting from hers just enough for him to speak between ragged breaths.

With that said, he captured her lips in an even deeper kiss.

Clara Grant hadn’t eaten since leaving the film set, having only had a few snacks at The Tuberose. She wanted to fight back, but she had no strength left to resist.

Gradually, she gave up the struggle and went still beneath him. But just as Seth Quinn’s lips left hers and began to trail down her neck, she said calmly, "Seth Quinn, let’s talk."

Her voice was perfectly level, devoid of any emotion, like that of someone utterly lifeless.

Seth Quinn’s movements froze. Stunned for a moment, he lifted his head to look at her.

Clara Grant’s face was as placid as her voice, revealing no emotion whatsoever.

Seth Quinn was still lost in the heat of the moment, and being forced to stop left him frustrated. His deep eyes held a hint of reluctance, but he still moved off her body and sat up on the bed. "Talk about what?" he asked, his voice hoarse.

Clara Grant slowly sat up and straightened her slightly disheveled clothes. Then she looked at him and asked, "Don’t you have anything to say to me?"

’Maybe I’m being greedy,’ Clara Grant thought. But she just had to hear his explanation about Autumn Shelby before their relationship ended. A single sentence—even just one—would be enough.

Seth Quinn, however, had no idea what she was thinking. The corner of his mouth curved into a roguish smirk, his voice dangerously seductive. "I don’t have anything to say, only things to do!"

Clara Grant stared at him with a calm expression for a long time, until he began to look puzzled. Only then did she speak again, enunciating each word with grave seriousness, "Seth Quinn, let’s get a divorce."

’Fine. If he won’t bring it up, I will! I won’t allow myself to be humiliated by him like this!’

And yet, for some reason, even though this was something she had been waiting for, now that she could finally say it, a bitter ache coiled in her heart.

With every word she spoke, she felt as if she couldn’t go on.

"What did you say?" The desire that had filled Seth Quinn’s eyes just moments ago vanished, his brows knitting together as his expression turned cold.

"I said," Clara Grant stared at him, repeating herself word by word, "let’s get a divorce."

"Divorce?" The chill in Seth Quinn’s eyes intensified, a vicious glint appearing in his sharp gaze. "On what grounds are you demanding a divorce? Don’t forget, you still owe me—"

His immediate instinct was to use the money she owed him as leverage, but this time, before he could finish, Clara Grant cut him off, her tone still eerily calm.

"I know. I still owe you money. A lot of money. You won’t ask for a divorce first because you’re afraid I’ll use that as an excuse not to pay you back, right? In that case, I’ll be the one to ask. Don’t worry. Once we’re divorced, I’ll pay back every penny. I won’t owe you a single cent!"

Seth Quinn was about to be driven mad. ’He didn’t ask for a divorce because he was afraid she wouldn’t pay him back?’

’Ha! The nerve she has to say that!’
