Autumn Shelby fought to suppress the panic in her heart and calm herself down.

Jenna’s gaze, however, was still fixed on something outside. She held up a hand. "Autumn, you stay seated. I’m going to check something out across the way."

Without waiting for Autumn Shelby to react, she turned and walked out of the drink shop.

"Wait, Jenna..." Autumn Shelby called out, but she couldn’t stop her.

Her gaze followed Jenna across the way, but the mall was crowded. After just a few steps, Jenna was swallowed by the throng of people and vanished from sight.

There was no way for Autumn Shelby to follow, so she could only sit and wait.

She took a sip of her warm milk, frowning slightly.

’Warm milk tastes awful. The iced lemonade is so much better, but...’

Clara Grant and Sarah Shelby shopped around the first and second floors. Sarah bought several new outfits, but Clara didn’t buy a single thing for herself. Instead, she bought two men’s suits.

She knew Seth Quinn certainly didn’t lack for clothes, but when she saw a couple of nice suits that she thought would be perfect for him, she bought them anyway.

’Even though I’m using his money, at least I’m the one picking them out. It’s the thought that counts.’

However, not buying a single thing for herself while buying two suits for Seth earned her a jab from Sarah Shelby, who teased that her "husband-spoiling obsession" was in full swing.

"Hey, Clara, we’ve been shopping for a while. Let’s go get something to drink," Sarah Shelby suggested. ’Shopping is so much more relaxing without Seth harassing us with one call after another.’

"Sounds good." Clara Grant nodded in agreement.

"Let’s go to the third floor. There’s a drink shop up there." Sarah Shelby pointed upstairs, her hands full of bags.

"Alright." Clara Grant nodded and followed Sarah, joining the crowd on the escalator.

Once they reached the third floor, Clara, who was following Sarah to the drink shop, suddenly stopped in her tracks. She reached out and tugged on her friend’s sleeve. "Sarah, wait, wait a second. Let’s go check out that children’s clothing store over there."

"The children’s store? What f—" But before she could finish, Clara Grant was already heading in that direction.

By the time Sarah made her way through the crowd and caught up, Clara Grant had already entered the store and was standing there, staring blankly at an outfit.

"Hey, Clara, what’s with the sudden interest in kids’ clothes? Are you pregnant?" Sarah Shelby teased.

Normally, Clara Grant would have laughed along with the joke, but today she didn’t react. She just stared at the little outfit, sighing with regret. "Sigh... this outfit would be perfect for Cherie. He’d look so handsome in it. Unfortunately, his mother already took him back to the U.S.A."

"What? His mom showed up again? And she took him with her?" Sarah Shelby was surprised at first, but then her expression softened. "Well, maybe it’s for the best. You won’t have to split your focus taking care of him anymore. Besides, a child is better off with their own family, especially their mother. No matter how good you are to him or how much you love him, you can never replace his own mother."
