A Sorcerer’s Journey
Chapter 1168 - 1169: The Edge of the Box?
"Arrived?"
Arrived? Arrived? Arrived? Arrived...
Green’s muttering in this boundless world of white bones surprisingly triggered echoes, which defied the most basic rules of the real material world.
Echo refers to the sound being reflected back, and here, as an immensely vast world, what serves as the medium for the echo in such an open space?
No immediate danger detected around, Green bent down and picked up a piece of bone, observing it minutely with the Face of Truth.
"It’s actually a tangible material?"
It’s actually a tangible material? It’s actually a tangible material? It’s actually a tangible material...
Green began to adjust to the echo here, automatically filtering it, concentrating intently on the observation of this bone, summarizing the most basic information.
This bone, in minute details, shows a pale golden color, rich in hard metal, proving this creature possessed a powerful physical foundation, and likely had a life level exceeding First Level biological tier at birth.
Judging by the volume of this section of the tail finger Green is holding, Green speculated that this creature, during its lifetime, might have been of a size comparable to Green’s Third Layer of Wild Instinct Transformation.
This bone’s density is astonishing; even after countless years of silence here, it still automatically absorbs any energy drifting nearby. One aspect may relate to this creature’s evolutionary talent, while another indicates this creature must have achieved World Master life level before its fall!
With a thud, Green tossed down the tail finger bone and gazed ahead.
A vast expanse of ghastly white jagged bones, each tinged with pale gold, endless...
Could it be that all these creatures were World Masters in their lifetime?
If that were the case, it’s exceedingly terrifying!
From Green’s knowledge, only the Xiahe civilization annihilated in history, or the Abyss civilization that reached its peak in the void, could compare to this terrifying legion comprised of innumerable World Masters here.
Unfortunately...
Unfortunately, these bones have been deposited here for such a long time they’ve begun to decompose, losing all value; otherwise, collecting them to trade with the Bone Demon World is unimaginable.
Why did they appear here?
And what caused them to be here, turning into these endless bones?
"Xiao Ba?"
Despite knowing full well it is impossible to summon, Green still tried, but regrettably, there was no response. The temporal barrier nullified even the Spacetime Communication Talent between Green and Xiao Ba.
The sky was a dim gray, seemingly endless; the Scepter of Hope floated like a compass in front of Green, while the Robe of Appearances, for some reason, pointed in another direction. Green temporarily ignored this, instead starting to excavate the bone layers on the spot.
Green wanted to see if beneath these bone layers lay the actual ground.
Even though everything perceived here seemed like the Real World, Green knew, much like the Nightmare World, he was only being virtualized. He must not completely lose himself here, treating himself as a part of this place, giving up on seeking a way to leave.
Otherwise, he’d be fully under Temporal Seal, digested by Balance Rules as an impurity attempting escape from this dimensional dimension.
Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang...
Pieces of bone were excavated and tossed aside by Green using Repulsion Attraction Dual Force. Digging deeper, the bones became smaller and denser.
Gradually, a large pit over a hundred meters in diameter emerged, with a depth of several tens of meters. Below lay the most finely decomposed bone powder, solidified into a dense, solid mass.
Crackle! Crackle!
Light and dark intertwined, twisted, as Annihilation Force black arcs struck the bone powder. After the power dissipated, under the Face of Truth, Green’s Three-Colored Light Eyes stared at the smooth pit blasted only a few meters deep, his brow furrowed, and the arc of oblivion flashed again.
Just like that, after several continuous rounds of Annihilation Force arcs, a huge smooth pit gradually formed, and Green stood at the opening, gazing down, speaking in a low voice, "Just as expected."
Seeing beneath the pit, countless tiny light spots quietly passing, it was indeed a Temporal Fault!
"Here, is this the must-pass place for those trying to break the Balance Rules of Dimensional Dimension with illusion, embarking on expeditions for Truth and Destiny, Creator God, Heavenly Dao, Origin...?"
Green recalled an answer Xiao Ba once gave.
Woo, woo, woo, woo...
At this moment, a bizarre wind sounded like the wails of evil spirits. Green snapped out of his thoughts, looking intently, realizing a Temporal Storm had risen in the distant direction!
The interlocking and twisting of space-time across the entire sky, with occasional fleeting unknown projections of distant Foreign Domain spacetime, driven by world-devastating power, stretches beyond sight. Caught by such a storm, Green had no doubt it wouldn’t take long to tear him into pieces.
Even a Celestial Dominator would fear it!
Without the slightest hesitation, Green seamlessly merged into the newly excavated smooth pit, gazing upward and waiting silently.
Moments later, the "woo-woo-woo" wind rampaged, interwoven spatial fissures swept past overhead.
Feeling the dense disruptiveness in the spatial chaos, Green’s back shivered, akin to a small mouse venturing into the Dark Forest, or those summoned into the Radiation Grand World civilization battlefields by Alien World Lords from distant places.
Ding, ding, dang, dang...
Besides the copious bone fragments refilling the pit with Green, a sudden crisp metallic sound caught Green’s attention. Reacting quickly, he attracted it with gravity; surprisingly, it was a miniature lamp the size of a fingernail, imbued with concentrated Force of Chronos, comparable to Green’s antique Hanging Clock.
His brow slightly furrowed, a wisp of flame formed at Green’s fingertip.
Whoosh...
A faint light unexpectedly formed into a projection device. Through this miniature lamp, Green saw visions that seemed like notes or letters from distant history.
"I think I’ve found the edge mentioned in the Kukya civilization..."
Within the vision was a creature the size of a mouse, standing upright, resembling a human. Its murky eyes revealed wisdom and erudition, long whiskers, and a black tail showed its back. Wearing black-framed glasses, it held a book, recording notes with this Lamp of Time.
The opening sentence made Green’s jaw drop: the edge of the box?
"I’ve found, through psychic perception, a deeper, newly unexplored Illusory World, more dangerous, more extreme, filled with historical wealth. Allow me to name it the Dimensional Gate, the only path for all attempting to defeat the limits of the box! I think I have to set off, following the steps of the strong figure guiding me, following the invincible legion under his lead, witnessing our existence significance in higher-dimensional historical time. What... are we?"
