Fo Lanying rolled her eyes speechlessly. These wild people’s skin is hard enough, but they never get sick? That’s just defying nature!

"If you die in battle, it’s due to injuries, right? If you can stop the bleeding and heal them in time, perhaps fewer people would die in battle," the astrologer said. "How about this, we’ll trade some injury medicine with you, so you let us find the herbs we need, and we’ll leave as soon as we find them."

The chief pondered for a moment, considering his current situation, and finally nodded, saying, "Fine, but it’s not because I’m afraid of you. Even if you kill me, my tribe will never let you leave here alive!"

The astrologer pursed his lips, too lazy to argue with him, and quickly came out of the state of divine communication.

He soon told everyone about the conversation with the tribal chief. Bai Ruozhu thought for a moment and asked, "With their strength, plus their hard skin, what kind of prey could cause them to die in battle?"

This question hit the crux. If a single wild man encountered a wolf pack, they might suffer losses, but it seems they live in groups and hunt together, giving them a significant advantage. Common animals would likely be swept away by them, right?

The astrologer smiled bitterly, "I just communicated with him; it wasn’t possible right away, so I can’t ask for you."

"Let me give it a try," Fo Lanying said, getting interested.

Everyone looked at her as she stared at the tribal chief and asked the question Bai Ruozhu mentioned.

Quickly, the tribal chief showed a surprised expression and muttered something incomprehensible.

"He said it’s the Earth Dragon, but I don’t think it’s a real dragon," Fo Lanying said excitedly. "I guess it’s a powerful beast clan, mutually suppressing each other, which is why they haven’t gone over to the islanders."

"I think although their skin is hard, they are very afraid of poison, so they can’t get past that Miasma Forest." Bai Ruozhu said casually as she flicked her fingers, and soon the arrogant beast chief collapsed and fell to the ground.

Fo Lanying curiously reached out and poked his arm, exclaiming in surprise, "Ruozhu, his skin softened after he fainted!"

Yuan Licheng hurriedly pulled her away, somewhat displeased, saying, "He’s a male. What are you touching?"

"He’s not a man, and which eye of yours saw me touching? I’m clearly poking, poking, poking!" Fo Lanying said, emphasizing "poking" three times, glaring at Yuan Licheng fiercely.

The wild people outside saw their chief down and started yelling madly again. Bai Ruozhu quickly gave him the antidote, and the wild chief got up again.

"What did you just do to me?" he shouted, only Fo Lanying could understand him.

"This is the herb I mentioned to you. You don’t understand their efficacy," Fo Lanying replied with a giggle.

This time, the wild chief calmed down and stopped yelling, looking at Fo Lanying and said, "Alright, I agree with you, but you must leave in three days. Don’t try anything on us; our Chi Clan isn’t easy to bully!"

Fo Lanying quickly relayed his words to everyone. Bai Ruozhu raised her eyebrows, "Chi Clan? Could their ancestors be Chiyou?"

"Let me ask him," Fo Lanying said.

Soon the wild chief showed a proud expression, with his nose pointing skyward, indicating they are indeed Chiyou’s descendants.

Bai Ruozhu’s group found it peculiar. How did Chiyou’s descendants end up on an island east of Fusang, and grow into such forms?

Quickly, the wild chief shouted a few words to the tribe outside, and Jiang Yichun also released his acupoint. Bai Ruozhu now knew they feared poison and thus found a way to deal with them.

Moreover, the wild chief seemed to sense Bai Ruozhu’s threat to him, purposely keeping a distance from her.

With Fo Lanying’s communication with the wild chief, both sides had a lot less friction and it became much more convenient.

Bai Ruozhu proposed to have them lead the way to see their so-called Earth Dragon; anything titled "dragon" must be quite special, perhaps there could be Dragon-seeking Grass around where the wild people mentioned Earth Dragons.

The wild chief picked a dozen people to lead the way with him, and the group ascended the mountain, and as they approached the mountain top, the wild people’s expressions grew solemn.

The chief gestured and mimed with gritted teeth, but he forgot that no one understood his lip-syncing.

Thankfully, Fo Lanying communicated with her divine sense and quickly understood his meaning: he urged everyone to keep quiet, as just ahead lay the Earth Dragon’s habitat.

Bai Ruozhu sniffed the air; there were traces of special herbal medicine fragrance, mixed with some odd odors, seemingly from some animal.

Suddenly, the ground tremored intensely, and everyone instantly became alert, while the wild people all raised their spears, looking ready for battle at any moment.

Jiang Yichun protected Bai Ruozhu behind him, parted a cluster of branches ahead, and the view became clear.

Not far off, two giant creatures were wrestling, unclear if fighting or playing, but because their bodies were so massive, each time they hit the ground, it caused the earth to tremble.

Bai Ruozhu’s mouth twitched; this thing impacting the ground was far mightier than the wild people.

Just what is this? Dinosaurs?

Gao Zhou and Tang Feng also watched in shock, the three exchanged glances; weren’t dinosaurs supposed to be extinct in the Jurassic Period?

If these big fellows aren’t dinosaurs, could they be enormous lizards?

At this moment, one Earth Dragon raised its forelimbs, walked on stout hind legs, and roared, while nearby wild people showed fear in their eyes, indicating that the Earth Dragon was their nemesis, even stronger than them.

Bai Ruozhu kept watching and increasingly felt they resembled dinosaurs; yet dinosaurs split into many varieties, and she didn’t study them much, not knowing which kind this was.

Suddenly, one of the dinosaurs turned its head, sniffed toward their direction, and then roared with rage.

A wave of foul stench hit them; the wild people were used to it, but Bai Ruozhu’s group almost vomited from this apparent never-brushed-teeth breath.

"You haven’t masked your scent; we’ve been discovered, run quickly!" the wild chief said angrily before turning to flee at an astonishing speed like monkeys on the mountain; other wild people swiftly followed him.

Meanwhile, the Earth Dragon responded quickly, already charging towards them, and Bai Ruozhu’s group didn’t want to clash head-on with so many Earth Dragons, only managing to run down the mountain while tossing symbols and poison.

Quickly, Bai Ruozhu found out these Earth Dragons didn’t fear poison, the poison barely affected them, and their skin was even tougher than the wild people’s, explaining why the wild people feared Earth Dragons so much.
