Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion
Chapter 324 - 323: An Auction?
"Well, that's about me. Tell me about you… and this world," Void said, finding a thick fallen branch to sit on as Liu Fan gasped quietly for air.
In that brief moment, something leaked.
Not power unleashed.
Not killing intent.
Just… presence.
A vast, terrifying aura brushed past Liu Fan like a cold wind from a grave older than time itself. His knees trembled, bones creaking as if they were about to shatter. His breathing turned shallow, vision blurring for an instant before it vanished as quickly as it had appeared.
Void tilted his head slightly. "Ah. Sorry."
Liu Fan sucked in a deep breath, sweat soaking his back. Damn. Was he really this strong? No, this wasn't even strength. It felt like standing too close to something that shouldn't exist in the same reality as him.
But instead of fear, excitement bloomed.
If he could gain Void's goodwill… then wouldn't this monster become his personal protector?
Yes.
If Void followed him to the auction house, the Lord of Shen Yuin City wouldn't dare touch him. Not even with ten lives.
Liu Fan smiled inwardly.
"This is a cultivation world," he began, steadying himself. "It was formed after the separation of the Immortal Realm and the Mortal Realm. The Immortal Realm stands above, while worlds like this exist beneath it, connected through laws, ascension paths, and fate bridges…"
He spoke of cultivation realms, body tempering, core formation, soul refinement, immortality paths, immortal descent, sect systems, righteous and demonic factions. He explained as best as he could, occasionally glancing at Void to see if he was following along.
Void listened politely.
Internally, he found it… tedious.
Most of it was recycled knowledge. Different names, different myths, same ladder. Mortal to Immortal. Weak to strong. Law to Dao. He only paid attention when Liu Fan finally reached the interesting part.
"There's a legendary auction house," Liu Fan said, lowering his voice instinctively. "It opens once every thousand years. No one knows when it appears or how it arrives. It simply manifests. Even Immortals descend for it, because the items inside…" His eyes burned with excitement. "They're beyond common sense. Some things can't even be bought with immortal stones."
Void's lips curled upward.
"No one knows its origin," Liu Fan continued. "No one knows its depth. Rumor says an Immortal Emperor once tried to seize it, only to be suppressed with a single move. Now he stands as the gatekeeper."
That did it.
Void's grin widened, sharp and genuine.
Interesting.
Very interesting.
An auction house that even Immortal Emperors couldn't dominate? A place that transcended realms and laws? This world had just become far less boring.
"I want to go," Void said immediately, eyes gleaming.
Liu Fan nearly laughed out loud in relief. "Of course! The auction opens tomorrow. With you by my side—"
He stopped himself, coughing lightly. "I mean, it would be safer to go together."
Void stood, stretching lazily. "Lead the way."
And so they went.

The auction house did not exist on any map.
It lay hidden deep within folded space, accessible only when the world itself acknowledged its arrival. Mountains bent subtly around it, rivers altered their flow, and even the sky above seemed calmer, as if unwilling to provoke whatever resided within.
Deep inside, laughter echoed.
Chu Su spun gracefully across the polished floor, her robes fluttering as she chased Ariya, who darted between towering pillars with a bright smile. Both were more beautiful now, their auras deeper, purer, each radiating the strength of Rank 3 High-level beings.
They looked like children playing.
The workers of the auction house watched with complicated emotions.
Jealousy.
Warmth.
Confusion.
They weren't blood sisters, yet the bond between them was undeniable. Worlds apart in origin, united by destruction. Void had erased both their homes, yet in that annihilation, they had found each other. To them, blood meant nothing. Survival meant everything.
They didn't know Void was alive.
They only knew their master had vanished long ago gifting them this auction house.
"Slow down!" Ariya laughed as Chu Su grabbed her sleeve.
"You're cheating!" Chu Su protested, pouting before breaking into laughter again.
The workers averted their gazes respectfully as footsteps echoed.
Guests were arriving.
---
Void and Liu Fan approached the auction house disguised.
Void didn't care. His aura folded inward effortlessly, existence compressed to the point that even Immortals would struggle to sense anything amiss. To him, this was entertainment.
Liu Fan, on the other hand, was tense.
Sect leaders began appearing, each arrival accompanied by subtle pressure. Old monsters with eyes like bottomless wells. Patriarchs whose names alone could shake regions. Solo cultivators cloaked in mystery, their auras sharp and dangerous.
Then came beings bathed in celestial light.
Immortals.
They walked casually, yet every step resonated with the authority of higher realms. Mortal cultivators instinctively lowered their heads.
Finally, the Lord of Shen Yuin City arrived.
His presence was domineering, his expression cold, eyes scanning the surroundings like a predator surveying prey. Liu Fan stiffened instinctively, but Void remained relaxed, gaze wandering lazily.
Seats were divided naturally.
Sect leaders and powerful cultivators took the main floor. Immortals and the Lord ascended to private VIP chambers above, concealed behind shimmering barriers.
Not all identities were known.
That was the rule.
Discussion slowly faded. Even rivals restrained themselves. This was not a place where grudges were settled. Fighting here meant annihilation.
At the entrance stood the gatekeeper.
An Immortal Emperor.
His presence alone froze hearts. Many dared not even look.
Void glanced at him once.
Early Rank 2.
Pathetic.
Still, the fear he inspired was… useful.
The atmosphere thickened.
Then silence fell.
Footsteps echoed across the stage.
Chu Su stepped forward.
Her smile was calm, refined, her posture elegant as she bowed slightly. The moment she appeared, the entire hall focused on her.
Void's gaze sharpened.
<System. Scan.>
The information flooded in—and then stopped him cold.
Not her cultivation.
Not her strength.
Her Fate Summary.
Linked.
Bound.
Connected.
Chu Su… was linked to Void.
The realization sent a strange ripple through his thoughts.
Interesting.
Very interesting.
As she raised her head to begin the auction, Void leaned back slightly, eyes gleaming with anticipation.
It seemed this auction house held far more than items.
It held answers.
And fate.
