At the Frontline of the Demon vs Angel War

At the sixth layer of space...

A terrifying Rank 4 angel walked softly. Behind her lay ruins filled with angels' golden blood.

At least the beings here were Quasi Rank 4; their blood contained Origin and refused to be shattered by the terrifying waves of the spatial storm.

Her feet barely touched the sixth layer of space as she moved forward, each step crossing hundreds of

thousands of mythological units.

Her eight wings, pure and white, spread behind her.

Her body was covered in pale robes as she gazed at the death of her race around her.

Each and every one of them had been Quasi Rank 4 angels , beings considered strong, beings with the potential to reach Rank 4.

Now, all of them would have to be reborn in the lower realms, struggle through the lower ranks, and cultivate their bodies all over again.

Her eyes were cold and emotionless, lacking pity or empathy.

She was like an observer, unmoved, as the massive corpses , each easily hundreds of universes in size

drifted away from her. The blood trembled as it spilled, forming a path for her to pass.

As she moved forward, more and more corpses appeared, until her eyes locked onto the front.

Faint voices of laughter and teasing could be heard.

In a few strides, she reached the source and finally stopped.

Before her stood dozens of Quasi Rank 4 demons teasing a wingless Quasi Rank 4 angel.

The angel was gravely injured. All her wings had been ripped off. Holes riddled her body as blood flowed endlessly.

Her divine sword had been broken, and she struggled to remain standing.

She kept turning, trying to defend against the demons' attacks, but no matter how she moved, she simply couldn't keep up.

Adding to that, the demons were not even using their full strength. They were merely enjoying toying with her.

Just then, they felt a chill at their backs.

They turned and were stunned.

Eight wings.

An eight-winged angel.

That could only mean one thing , a Rank 4 angel.

Yet when the angel released her aura, the Quasi Rank 4 demons became wary.

Which of them hadn't lived for millions of years? They were all old foxes.

Crack.

Thud.

The angel they had been playing with earlier coughed up blood, her face contorting in pain as she looked at the hand that had pierced her heart.

A terrifying Origin surged through her body as she disintegrated into a soul.

Immediately, one of the Quasi Rank 4 demons stretched out a hand, and her soul was forcibly split into dozens of fragments. The demons opened their mouths and swallowed them.

Fear enhanced the taste for them. The feeling of dread ,

of ultimate dread made the soul especially delicious.

They did it in one smooth motion as a scream echoed.

Across from them, the strange angel watched everything.

Kyle's eyes gazed at them all as she frowned.

"Creatures of darkness."

"Disgusting."

Kyle stepped forward as she spoke, her aura releasing wildly. The demons, though numbering over a dozen, all retreated.

This angel was very strange.

Her aura was Quasi Rank 4, yet her eight wings clearly signified Rank 4.

They didn't want to get involved with her.

"Sorry, but Rank 4 angels aren't supposed to interact with us. Or are you planning to start the Rank 4 war early?" one demon asked, his sharp fangs exposed as he chuckled.

Hearing this made Kyle pause.

Though her growth was different from other beings, if a true Rank 4 demon arrived, he would believe he had met an equal opponent.

"Quasi Rank 4, Rank 4… does it matter? We both control Origin either ways," Kyle said as she resumed moving forward.

The demons attempted to increase the distance between them, but their faces twisted in horror as they realized their bodies were locked in place.

They couldn't move an inch.

"Senior, we are sorry! We didn't know this was your clone!"

"Yes, forgive us!"

"Senior must be joking. The difference between us and you is greater than the difference between us and a Rank 1 being!"

The demons hurriedly spoke.

They realized that aside from their mouths and facial expressions, none of their bodies functioned.

Worse still, their Origin was locked.

They were lambs waiting for slaughter.

Another Quasi Rank 4 being couldn't do this.

Only a Rank 4 being could.

This meant the being before them had to be a clone of a Rank 4 existence.

But upon hearing this, a smile appeared on Kyle's face.

"A clone?" she laughed softly, her eyes glowing silver.

"No. This is me. Unfortunately, you are just young Quasi Rank 4 beings. You broke through only a few million years ago. What do you even know about the angel race? You don't even fully grasp your own race."

Kyle paused.

"It would have been less troublesome if I could directly erase your soul, Origin, and consciousness. But unfortunately, some rules must be followed."

There was a reason Quasi Rank 4 beings weren't completely erased , especially those above them.

Even their so-called deaths were merely the destruction of body and soul, which they could later reconstruct and slowly cultivate back to their realm.

In truth, this war was more or less the angels and demons balancing themselves.

It was like they were tempering their elites and becoming stronger.

Kyle refocused as the dozen Quasi Rank 4 demons lost their lives.

"So fragile," she muttered, frowning.

Perhaps she should go to the Rank 4 battlefield instead.

Here, Quasi Rank 4 beings were like ants to her ,crushed knowingly or unknowingly.

Kyle waved her hand, and dozens of dark giant orbs floated before her.

"I hope you can be reborn as better beings… and perhaps one day become angels," Kyle said as she looked at the dark souls.

Space ruptured, and the souls disappeared.

Kyle turned and moved on.

Her body cut through the sixth layer of space as a bright path opened before her.

Just as she left, a terrifying light shone.

Two gigantic eyes appeared.

Their size was infinitely greater than anything a Quasi Rank 4 being had ever witnessed.

Suddenly, a vortex formed, sucking in all the blood and corpses left in the sixth layer of space.

The predator.

This terrifying Rank 6 being had arrived to devour and feed.

"More…" an ancient voice echoed as the surroundings cracked and the predator dived into the deeper layers of space.
