Ace Dragon Rider
Chapter 714 - 571: Returning to the Academy
Long Yi had not returned to the Dragon Knight Academy for quite some time, and if it weren’t for this matter, he probably would have never thought to return. The massive statue of a dragon and a man still stood at the entrance of the academy, only this time, the dragon was covered in multicolored traces. It was apparent that people had drawn and written on it, leaving behind these colors even after being washed clean.
When Long Yi arrived there, he saw a group of young men with small buckets in their hands, sneakily approaching the dragon statue, seemingly intending to draw something on it.
"Hey, what are you doing?"
Long Yi yelled out.
The student was taken aback for a second, he shot Long Yi a dismissive glance and waved his hand, "Off you go, big lug! Don’t get in our way when we’re in the middle of something."
With that, he lifted his brush about to start drawing.
"What’s your intention in doing this?"
Long Yi didn’t stop them. Instead, he curiously asked them.
"The damned Dragon Clan dared to attack humans, and some stubborn folks still think they are friends to humans. I want to make everyone see the true ugly face of the Dragon Clan."
The student spoke with fervent passion, his companions looked at him in admiration.
"So you draw these things, and the Dragon Clan will be hurt or die?" Long Yi crouched down, watching them draw and continued asking.
"If drawing these things would kill them, I would have filled the entire Imperial City with my drawings!" The student’s response was incredulous, looking at Long Yi as if he were a fool.
"That’s strange. You’re doing something completely pointless, why would you waste your time on here? If you’re unhappy with the Dragon Clan, why not fight on the battlefield?" Long Yi asked with a smile.
"Are you genuinely stupid or just pretending? I’m just a human, how am I supposed to fight the Dragon Clan?" The student glared at Long Yi without bothering to continue drawing.
"Well that’s strange, if humans can’t win, why haven’t we gone extinct?"
"You idiot, don’t you know that there’s a portion of the Dragon Clan that stands on the human side?"
"Oh? So there are dragons on our side? Aren’t you discouraging those dragons who stand with us by doing this?"
"This... explaining this to an idiot like you won’t solve anything! Just sit there and watch!"
Without adding further, the student continued to draw.
"Stop drawing, the Dean’s coming!"
All of a sudden, another student shouted out loud.
The sight startled the students, they started to run, spilling the paint all over themselves.
"It’s all that idiot’s fault, otherwise I could have finished drawing!" One of the boys hollered in exasperation.
"But brother, doesn’t that man look familiar?"
"Familiar? Now that you mentioned it, I feel the same way, as if I’ve seen him somewhere before."
"Eh? Brother, look, the Dean’s talking to that man."
"Dean, the big dope... Good heavens! That man is Long Yi!"
"Huh? Long Yi? Which Long Yi?"
"Who else could it be? Who else dares to call himself Long Yi in the entire White Dragon Empire! It has to be him!"
"My GOD, but brother, you just called Long Yi an idiot."
"I...oh! I got confused! Who would’ve thought that Long Yi would be here instead of fighting on the frontline!"
"Do you think Long Yi would complain about us, brother?"
"Complain? He’s a big shot, he’s even been Emperor! We’re just a few nameless soldiers, who’d recognize us!"
Meanwhile, at the entrance of the Dragon Knight Academy, the Dean was looking at the smeared traces on the dragon statue at the gate with a wry smile. The unfinished drawing should be of something.
"This is a White Dragon." The Dean said, helplessly.
The White Dragon didn’t betray the Giants in the beginning and hasn’t waged war on humans now. It can be arguable that White dragons are truly friendly to the Dragon Clan. However, now it is undoubtedly an unwarranted disaster.
"Haven’t you managed this situation?" Long Yi asked, lifting his scepter. A flash of light scanned over and the colors on the dragon statue all disappeared, leaving not a trace behind.
"How could I manage this?"
The Dean chuckled in response. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
"This..."
Long Yi seemed to have no solutions either, these young people were ardent, unrestrained and independent.
"Forget it, let them be," the Dean said, shaking his head slightly and laughed.
"You are indeed indifferent." Long Yi gave him a thumbs up.
"I have no other choice. However, Long Yi, instead of being the Emperor and fighting your war, what are you doing here?" The Dean questioned.
"Well, I’m here to fight the war, and to win the war." Long Yi replied with a smile.
"Do you need my help?" The Dean asked.
"I’m not sure." Long Yi replied unsurely.
"Alright then, if you need my help, come find me." Saying this, the Dean was about to leave.
"Aren’t you going to check it out?" Long Yi called out.
"No need..."
For some reason, Long Yi felt the Dean seemed a bit listless.
Anyway, the problem of the bracelet must take precedence. Even if he wanted to talk to the Dean, there would be plenty of time after the victory.
Long Yi took out the tablet, revealing the bracelet, then he brought the tablet close to the statue of the Giant.
"Old version universal identity system dispenser detected, precise type unknown, interface connection successful, editable."
Yes, that’s just it!
Long Yi grinned, it really works!
