There was a brief delay but he received a reply from him after five minutes.

404: Alright, as you know your family’s been chasing after your whereabouts. So we created an elaborate plan to mislead them. And you know my updates haven’t been frequent since then.

404:The reason is, they’ve slowed down in their pursuit that’s why there aren’t any updates. That’s one thing, then another thing, do you know you have an uncle?

Guiying wasn’t surprised by it.

He knew of the existence of his father’s younger brother, his uncle Xue ShangYan.

"Yes. I’m quite aware of him..."

404: Oh, you’re not totally clueless yourself. We’ll he’s been digging into your records.."

Guiying raised a brow, was it because he ran away from home? He and Xue ShangYan weren’t close enough to begin with.

And they had never seen each other as well, so the sudden interest in him?

404: Here’s something you don’t know. Your grandfather has officially introduced your Uncle as his second son and gave him all his shares.

-_-

What?

His uncle was also an illegitimate child, he had heard that from his father some years ago during one of his fits.

So at one point he also wanted to meet his uncle, because he thought as illegitimate children they should at least stick together.

But his uncle had never once showed up.

So why now of all times and what was his grandfather planning?

"I see, these are some interesting updates.."

404: ヽ(•̀ω•́ )ゝ I know ball.

"What exactly was he looking for?"

404’s reply came in an instant.

"Same as everyone else. Your whereabouts.."

Guiying stroked his chin, if his grandfather had brought his uncle out of hiding and introduced him to the company, then his father was about to have real competition.

Also the annual family dinner was nearing.

He leaned back, a wicked grin appearing on his lips.

This was going to be one hell of a family reunion.

"It seems it’s time to come out of hiding myself.." he muttered to himself.

"Is there anything else I should watch out for? Apart from this..."

404: No, this is where the updates end. Once there’s new info I’ll contact you.

"Alright. Got it.."

Guiying logged out of the platform, turned off the laptop’s wife and closed it.

Well, he was done with work. He guess he could eat dinner with Liuxian.

He grabbed his phone, slipped into his slippers, it was a new one, a very normal looking black slides.

And left the room.

His phone buzzed on his way to Liuxian’s room.

It was from Shao Mingye along with some attachment.

"Good evening, below are some images from the shoot. You’ll be notified when the before the final result. But I figured you’d want to see it, your first ever photo."

Guiying didn’t open the attachment instantly, he was a bit nervous.

Instead he just replied Shao Mingye with a thank you.

He didn’t want to say he was nervous to see his own photos so he would look at it with Liuxian.

When he got to Liuxian’s room, he knocked for a while but no response.

In the end, he started wondering through the house looking for him.

Going from the dinning, to the living room until he found butler Wang.

"Uncle Wang, do you know where my husband is.."

Wang was gave him a knowing smile, this was the first time he had heard Guiying call the young master his husband.

"Well, you can find your husband in his study master Xue."

Guiying nodded and headed upstairs, this should be his first time stepping into Liuxian’s study.

"Hey. Ready to eat?"

"Yup yup. But my photos from the shoot came in so I wanted us to look at it together.."

Liuxian raised a brow "Oh? Come here then.."

There were no other chair in the study apart from the one Liuxian was sitting on.

So he guessed, his chair was Liuxian’s thighs.

He sat down and opened the chat, now that he was with Liuxian he wasn’t so nervous anymore.

He opened the attachment and clicked on the first image.

It was strange seeing himself through the camera’s lens, he wondered which was real.

The ’him’ in the image or the ’him’ sitting on Liuxian’s thighs.

"Stunning. Absolutely stunning. I’m not surprised that you’re this photogenic."

Guiying turned to face him, the smile on Liuxian’s face was real.

"You think so? I’m not feeling anything though.."

Liuxian chuckled well that was obvious, he had just taken the photo today.

So he guessed that’s why the sentiment wasn’t there yet.

"They’re all nice. You look good for someone without professional training. Plus I’m sure TongShu will be satisfied with this, since you’re going to reach the target audience.."

Guiying nodded, that made sense being that the target audience was GenZ.

"Alright then. Shall we head downstairs for dinner. I wonder what Old Li will serve us tonight.."

The table was already full when Guiying got there.

Old Li had outdone himself again.

A whole fish sat in the center, skin fried crisp and glazed in dark sauce, ginger and chili scattered over the top so the steam carried the sharp, hot smell across the room.

Around it were the dishes he was known for — braised meat dark and sticky with sauce, shrimp tossed with okra and red pepper, cold cuts sliced thin and arranged neat.

There was a plate of century eggs too, the black jelly cut into wedges and drowned in chili and garlic oil.

Nothing delicate. Nothing small.

Just hot food, piled high, made to be eaten fast before it went cold.

"Wow, Uncle LI this looks amazing, how did you know I was thus hungry..."

Old LI smiled as he ushered Guiying into the chair.

Old Li squinted at it like he was inspecting his own work.

"This one.." he said, "I told the fishmonger I wanted the biggest he had. Can’t be giving you the small ones. Look at you. A gust of wind and you’d be chasing your hat down the street."

He shook his head, not unkindly, just with that old-man grumble.

"Eat everything. And don’t leave the soup untouched either. That soup is very good, it nourishes the body and helps you sleep soundly at night. An Omega needs to be strong if you’re going to carry a child for this family."

-_-

Guiying froze, no know they had gotten to pregnancy talks now.

Only then did he turn to Liuxian, pointing at the other dishes with his chopsticks.

"You, don’t just grab the spicy stuff. Your stomach’s no good. Eat the steamed fish and the soup first. Soft things won’t tear you up."

He lowered his voice a notch, giving Liuxian that knowing look and a little nudge with his elbow.

"And the black chicken with ginseng— that’s good for your manhood. Keeps you strong for bedroom activities. You two are married men now. If you want things to go smoothly, you’ve got to keep yourselves healthy first. Don’t pretend you don’t know what I mean."
