Chapter 213: Chapter 145: Submerged Land Level Demons Are Truly Bizarre (Part 2)

In the vast fog, a crimson streak of light moved like a roaming dragon!

The fog broke and scattered wherever it passed!

Countless tendrils of mist, which had been spreading outward, now swirled and condensed!

It felt threatened!

That mass of "Evil Filth Condensed Mist" was also drifting desperately within the dense fog.

In truth, this mass of mist was no different from the rest.

An ordinary person would notice no difference, even if two masses of mist appeared before them at the same time.

But Chi Cheng, however, perceived it with extreme acuity.

The Tier Six Submerged Land Level Demon was obviously much more perceptive as well.

It frantically moved its Core through the vast mist, trying to escape this terrifying Warrior’s Locking. But Chi Cheng’s relentless pursuit seemed to declare the effort futile!

With a sweeping wash of crimson light!

The still-fleeing Core was shattered in a single blow!

"What a complex Demon."

’If an ordinary person ran into it, unable to discern its true form or location, they would just be swallowed by the vast fog and slowly consumed, I suppose.’

And with the destruction of its Core,

the vast fog began to recede, shrinking back toward Chi Cheng’s position.

It gradually grew more substantial.

Chi Cheng took out a bottle, which then sucked in the dense, receding mist.

As a Gatherer, he was certainly well-prepared with all sorts of tools.

"Done."

Chi Cheng held up the bottle, giving it a shake.

’Looks like that was actually pretty easy.’

Spreading his Perception outward, he found they were in a strange Forest. The sky held no Moon, nor was any snow falling.

He could only feel a desolate chill that still permeated the air.

’I wonder if the Dungeon itself is just like this,’

’or if it’s an effect of being stored during the cold months.’

’If this place isn’t affected by that, does it mean this is also a place beyond the reach of the Moon’s Authority?’

The group continued onward, heading toward the next Demon.

WHOOSH! 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Suddenly, in the pitch-black sky, more than one eye opened.

Iz and Kumironi raised their hands simultaneously.

WHOOSH!

An emerald light screen enveloped each of them.

Meanwhile, the Array on Iz’s Magic Wand lit up, and she unleashed an unknown form of Magic.

All they could see were the eyes in the sky erupting in high-frequency vibrations.

BZZZZZZZZZZ—

BANG!

Chi Cheng leaped into the air!

However—

In the next instant, the eyes snapped shut!

Chi Cheng’s slash swept through the spot where the eyes had just been, but he hit nothing but air.

WHOOSH!

Suddenly, the eyes opened again.

This time, however, thousands of them appeared in all different locations.

BANG!

A rapid-fire popping sound erupted from where Chi Cheng had just been.

The next instant,

forty to fifty eyes that had appeared out of thin air exploded in succession around him.

’That Speed... it’s incredible.’

’Even with my current reflexes, I couldn’t follow that burst of Speed.’

And yet...

after so many eyes had exploded, the remaining pairs closed once more and vanished from the sky.

"Chi Cheng, it looks like there are some Demons even you can’t handle,"

Iz said with a smug smile.

"Warriors only rely on brute force. They can never match the finesse of a Mage."

Iz waved her Magic Wand.

In the sky, countless bolts of Thunder gathered. The immense Thunder Power condensed into a roiling sea of lightning that looked like violet-silver plasma!

"Tier Six Thunder Magic: Tidal Thunder Sea."

BOOM!

The entire sky filled with silver-purple lightning, unleashing a deafening roar of thunder!

BANG!

BANG—

Every eye that opened in the sky was baptized in Thunder and instantly shattered!

’Finesse?’

’Where’s the finesse?’

’All I’m seeing is brute force, Iz.’

’But this Magic doesn’t just contain Thunder Power. It also seems to incorporate the Rules of Space.’

Lu Cang could tell that this Demon was somewhat like the Void.

But not entirely.

When threatened, it could hide completely within its own pocket of Space, but Iz’s Magic had forced it right out.

And so, this Demon was dealt with by Iz.

Another Submerged Land Level acquisition.

As they ventured deeper, they saw illusory figures of themselves...

’Is it time for that classic trope?’

’The fight against yourself?’

But...

Lu Cang looked at the projections floating in mid-air.

He had a feeling he could just absorb these souls directly.

Chi Cheng’s phantom charged!

Wreathed in roiling Soul Light, it attacked using an Invincible Stream Form!

Its Speed was incredible, though it was hard to say if it was as fast as the real Chi Cheng.

All they knew was that at some point, Obades had already raised a hand.

An invisible barrier materialized before his Stone Arm!

BOOM!

The Heavy Sword slammed into Obades’s barrier, but it didn’t budge an inch.

Lu Cang, meanwhile, simply reached out a hand.

Instantly, Chi Cheng’s phantom dissolved into countless souls that streamed toward Lu Cang.

It was instantly killed by Soul Dominator.

Beyond that one, there were also phantoms of Lu Luwei, Lu Cang, Iz, and even Kumironi and Obades.

Lu Luwei’s phantom drew its bow at the sky, loosing an Arrow brimming with endless Soul Light...

"Just an imitation."

Lu Cang raised his hand again, and the Arrow made of countless souls was completely absorbed into him.

Elsewhere, the phantom of Izparut gathered countless souls to form a spell!

"Using souls to simulate Magic?"

Iz’s eyes lit up. It might just be an imitation, but it was a unique one.

This adventure was turning out to be full of surprises!

Iz exchanged a few moves with her own phantom.

Their magical duel was cataclysmic. It was obvious, however, that the imitation couldn’t use Root Magic.
