Almighty Father System

After chatting with his daughter, Leo drove all night long and finally stopped on the top of a hill, two kilometer away from the location where the people were going to meet. It was a crater that formed after nuclear testing in this region several decades ago. Although it looked like an empty indent on the ground, but it was a place that held great significance to the cultists. It was they who conducted the nuclear test and announced their existence to the world.

However, since it was not the age of technology, the news just spread among the upper class and was stopped their, later on, the Hamunaptra Nation covered it up as a place where a meteorite fell. The entire operation was a charade, they even produced some meteorites and those stones are still placed in the exhibitions of the national meteorology museum.

Leo shook his head as he got off the buggy, his face was covered with dust and same could be said for his hair, they were now brown instead of black. The young man, however, didn't care about anything. He knelt down on the ground and picked up a small night vision spotter. Alpha had told him that no other party has yet arrived in the place, they will not be arriving before tomorrow evening, and so after checking the surrounding, Leo came back to sit down next to the buggy, the vehicle was parked between the boulders so it was not going to be spotted by the security arrangement of those people, but he needed to handle something else and that was not going to be easy.

Just when he was thinking about how to counter the people, Markus called him. Leo picked up the call and said, "Sir, we have arrived."

Leo was surprised and asked, "What do you mean you have arrived?"

Markus chuckled and said, "Look east."

Leo turned his head to look in the east and he found a line of flickering lights was moving towards him. The young man was surprised, and he could not understand what was going on, Markus continued, "You are going to face those evil bastards, how can we let you go in alone. Let us earn some merit as well Boss, if we go to meet the lord of death, we must have something good to say about us, no?"

Leo frowned and asked, "Who asked you to come here, Markus? Was it Lily?"

Markus replied, "No, Sir, it was Madam, she told me that you will not ask for it but things would be difficult since you are alone and so we all packed up and came here."

Leo sighed, he said, "Fine, spread out, we will meet at the center of the crater, let us give them something to cherish this spot even more."

Markus chuckled and said, "Roger that, boss."

Leo called Snow and asked her a few things, and the two spent some time listening to each other's silence. Yes, they didn't say anything but they were communicating, silently telling each other that they were with each other. That even if Snow didn't say anything, she was thinking of him, and for Leo the silence was an expression of his gratitude for her. The call continued till he walked over to the crater and in the end he said, "Love, I'll talk to you in a bit."

Snow replied, "Hmm, take care."

That was it, after that Leo descended the crater and then he came to the center where Markus was standing with a few big shots of the Pinnacle Security. One of these men was called, Dante, and then there was a lady with a scar on her cheek, Widow. The last guy was called Checker, he was a master mind in manipulation and could make the enemy kill themselves. Widow lost her husband in a war and since then she has gone by that name only.

The young man shook hands with all three of them and looked at Markus before he asked, "What do you think is the play here?"

Markus replied, "We can plant sniper teams all around the place and then kill them as they come."

Leo shook his head and replied, "These people are dignitaries, they will send a dog squad to smell things before they could even confirm attendance. At the moment, if they have not started securing the location that means they are completely confident in this meeting location."

Dante nodded and replied in a thick voice, "Over confident, but they would be cautious as they are cowards."

The rest of the people nodded and Checker said, "Has it been confirmed that they would meet in this crater?"

Leo nodded and then Checker replied, "How about we bury some mines in here, imagine if they come and just explode?"

Widow clicked her tongue and said, "Dude, if one of the people triggered the mine, do you think the rest would stay here and what about the security that would get alert?" Checker then looked at her and asked, "Do you have anything better?"

Widow shrugged and said, "This crater is five hundred meter in diameter. We can dig up some shallow holes and stay hidden here. Red Sand is not very hot in the noon, and when the so called elites come over, we can handle them. As for the security, we can have our teams posted in the surroundings and when they notice movement from us, they can take out the security as well."

Markus looked at Leo who said, "Fine, this works for me, however, we need to make sure that one of us stays outside, because that way, you would be able to guide the team outside. No?"

Markus said, "Sir, you should stand out, I will handle things here with everyone."

Leo rolled his eyes and said, "Since that is the case, you go and stay out. Lead the teams, I will stay here with Dante, Widow and Checker."

The latter was blindsided and had no option but to return to his post after giving Leo a handgun and a kevlar. The latter had nothing that was called an armor on his body. Leo then looked at Widow and asked, "What is your real name?"

The lady was shocked and Leo asked again, to which she replied, "Samantha."

Leo nodded and replied, "I will call you Sam from now on, Widow is not a good codename."

Then he and Dante dug a hole and Leo went in to hide first. Followed by Sam, Checker, and Dante. Markus was the one to cover Dante back in the sand and vanished from the sight. The people didn't have much of a room inside the holes, just enough to breath and a water bag to keep themselves hydrated.

They were also equipped with a handgun each. Checker had even kept a grenade on his belt, he made sure that if someone tried to come after him. He was clear, he would take the people down with him. Leo was silent the entire nigh and after the travel, he took a short nap after he finished training in the virtual realm. In the morning, Alpha suddenly called, and Leo asked, "Alpha what is it?"

The robot said, "Sir, you all need to pull off, this is an ambush, the meeting is being held in another location, they figured out that we were listening to them so they changed the plan at the last moment. Now, they have sent guards over."

Leo sighed and he pushed himself out of the sand and asked, "How long till they reach us?"

Alpha replied, "Two hours, they are heading over from the east."

Leo rushed up to awaken Dante, Sam and Checker before he said, "Pull back, we have to retreat. The enemy pulled a quick one on us. Get going, hurry."

The faces of the people changed and they quickly called Markus to come over with the vehicles and they were retreating. They had a good chance to take down the people of the Morning Star Tower, but the enemy suddenly got a little smarter and pulled a quick one on them, Leo shook his head and put these thoughts aside because at this moment, the main goal was to perfectly retreat to safety."

Leo sighed and then along with everyone they moved through the sand and moved quickly towards the other end of the desert. When they crossed the place, Leo was so frustrated that he kicked the vehicle and sent it a couple of meters before he yelled, "Fuck!!!!!!"

Markus sighed and then said, "Sir, it is fine, had it been later, we might not have made it out."

Leo nodded sighing, he said, "I am aware that this saved all of us, but the effort to catch them all under the same roof is really difficult."

Sam chimed in from the side, "How about this, we can capture someone from the high circle and have them spill the truth?"

Leo sighed and replied, "That is not a good thing but this is the only option we have."
