Leo and the rest had no inkling about this, they were all on different routes heading back home. Leo had been out of the house for a week and now he was missing his children dearly. Before getting on the flight he did tell Snow that he would be coming back home in a few hours and at that time it would be noon for them.

Snow had told him to not worry but just cover his face when moving around because these past few days, due to the play of him being sick people have been paying a lot of attention to them. Leo sighed and agreed to her words. After landing on the southern airport. Leo simply took a sports car that was arranged by Markus and the two of them drove back to the Angkor City. Leo's average speed was higher and he only slowed down when he was in the range of a detection police cab or camera's to avoid being stopped on the side of the road.

In the noon the next day, they entered the Angkor City and then arrived at the Mansion in noon, the door was opened quickly and Leo sighed as soon as he was inside the mansion premise. He checked with Jock if there had been any incidents, and the latter shook his head to respond, everything is fine Sir."

Leo nodded and then he opened the door to get inside the house, and he was expecting a little goblin charging at him to give him a big hug but that was not the case, instead, he was assaulted by a faint fragrance of cooked vegetables. Something like a stir fry, he had no idea what was going on but then he went inside and saw the living room empty. He asked, "Hello! Is anyone home? I have come back."

Usually he would have rushed to take a shower, but today he had no idea why he did this. After a few moments, Fragrance walked out of the kitchen and said, "Bro, good that you are back in time. Wash your hands and take a seat on the dining table."

Leo was surprised and asked, "What is going on?"

Fragrance sighed and said, "Can you just do what you are told for one time? I assure you, it would be great and you will like it."

The young man shrugged and asked while he headed to the washroom, "Where is everyone else?"

Fragrance replied, "In the kitchen they are cooking somethings special for you."

Leo paused and then though it was probably Snow and Anastasia who were cooking, he washed his hands and face and then came back to the dining table, as he sat down, he saw Lily walking over with a plate in her hands. Leo smiled at first and then he was shocked, he noticed what Lily was wearing, she wore a small white coat with black pants and a tiny, almost ornamental chef hat. The young man asked, "Love, what is with this attire? It is so cute."

Lily smiled and blushed as she said, "I am wearing the uniform of the role that I have undertaken for today's lunch."

Leo was surprised and then Lily came close to him and said, "Welcome, Mister Baba, I am your chef for the day, Lily Cardinal. I hope you enjoy the meal and if you find that my skills are shallow please be magnanimous."

Leo was still having a hard time wrap his mind around the fact that his daughter had cooked something. He saw that Lily was still holding the plate in her hands, the young man reached out took the plate from her, and then placed it on the table before he looked at the Chef and asked, "So what have you cooked for us today, Chef Cardinal?"

Lily smiled and bowed slightly before she took a profession gesture with her left hand towards the rough position where the plate was placed and said, "Today we have made something very light and fibrous for you, Sautéed vegetables. These things are very nutritious and they are easy on the stomach as well."

Leo nodded and just when he was about to praise her the system said, 'Ping: Host, your daughter has assumed the role of a corporate Chef. Please follow her play and don;t break the character. Reward would be announced based on your acting skills.'

The young man smiled and said, "Thank you for your introduction, Chef but may I ask you to explain the origin of this recipe?"

Lily nodded with a calm face and said, "Certainly, Sir."

She paused and then after adjusting her posture into a more professional one, with a straight back she said, "Sir, the dish is made by tossing golden corn kernels and broccoli florets in coconut oil, along with a pinch of garlic, and boiled carrots, and green onions. This brings out the nice crunch and chewy texture of the vegetables and at the same time, it is seasoned with the secret recipe we found in the store room of our family home."

Leo raised his brow and remarked, "So, this means today, Baba is being treated to the family recipe of the Chef, indeed, it is a pleasure. Thank you for your bestowment."

Lily smiled and said, "Please carry on with your meal, Mister Baba. I will take my leave."

She turned around and dashed away, causing Leo to almost chuckle, then just before he was about to pick up the fork and help himself, Lily came back with a speed higher than before. She climbed up to his lap and hugged him tightly before she said, "I missed you Baba."

Leo smiled, his heart was overflowing with warmth. Everyday when he was outside, Lily would call him to check if he had eaten on time. She would ask him if any of the missions were hard or if he was injured. Such things asked by a child who is just five years old, this was something that made Leo understand the depth of their bond.

He patted her back gently and then he said, "I missed you to, darling. Have you been well?"

Lily nodded and replied, "Yes, I am fine. I am strong, but you need to check on Ma, she is not doing good." 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

Leo was surprised and asked, "What happened to Ma?"

Lily shook her head, before she replied, "I have no idea, she just doesn't say about it but it shows in her eyes. She is trying to be brave you know. Silly adult behavior."

Leo smiled as he gave her a gentle squeeze in his arms and said, "Baby, you are the wisest and the smartest child in the whole wide world."

Lily giggled and then she said, "I know, whose daughter am I?"

Leo chuckled and pinched her nose gently as he said, "Glib Tongue."

Then the father and daughter pair ate from the plate together. Leo fed Lily and then he ate himself. He complimented her cooking because it was really done right. He asked, "How many trials did it take you?"

Lily replied with a smile, "Hehe, two. In the first one I messed up the florets and then the spices also burned. However, I took notes and so I had the skill to cover up the second time. The whole thing became easy thanks to the recipe card left behind by Grandma. There is a whole box of it."

Leo was surprised and then Lily said, "It had fallen in one of the crevices behind the cupboards in the store room. So I found it when Momo and the Luna went in there to hide."

Momo was the kitten Leo had gotten for Lily, and Luna was one of the two kittens he had rescued from the construction site and brought them over to be a companion for Elena and for Julius they had Solaris.

Leo smiled and picked her up in his arms after he finished eating and said, "Come, let's find your worried mother and give her a good chat."

Lily nodded, and then she said, "She should be upstairs, catching a nap."

Leo raised his brow and asked, "If Snow is upstairs then who was in the kitchen with you?"

Lily stuck out her tongue and Snow appeared from the kitchen gate and said, "Your daughter is covering up the fact that after three days of no washing, you stink. So before you handle the twins, you ought to clean up."

Leo was left struck in a daze. He sighed and replied, "This little goblin is trying to manipulate me."

Snow shook her head and replied, "Just trying to be naughty because she bought a new tub toy and wants to play the warship battle with you."

Leo smiled and looked at Lily as he asked, "Is that the matter?"

Lily nodded and said, "But you do stink, how can I let you hug my Precious Ma?"

The family laughed as Leo sighed at his daughter giving him a reality check.
