Chapter 449: Chilling At The Disaster Site.

Leo and Snow waited for the police and the national disaster relief squad to respond, the teams were quick and they came over within an hour. The person at the lead of the two teams was a middle-aged police officer. He strode over, and looked at the landslide before he turned to look at Leo and said, "Thank you, Sir, for the prompt notice. We will secure the area and then the second team will get to work. They would need a few hours to clean the path leading up."

Leo nodded and then he looked at Kyle before he said, "Clear up the way for their machines to move around and help them with whatever you can."

Kyle nodded and apart from Zeenat and Beta, the rest of the guards began to help the Disaster relief team to quicken up the pace. The police officer was surprised and then he noticed a pin on Leo’s lapel. He realized something and said, "I didn’t expect that today when I step out of the house, I would have the pleasure to meet the savior of the north. Forgive my mannerism, Lord Cardinal."

Leo was slightly taken aback from the address and greeting but then he waved his hand before he said, "You are making small things big here, Sir. At the moment, I am just a citizen out to travel with my family. Not in the office, also, apart from that title and everything, I am just a human as well."

The middle-aged captain smiled and said, "Well, if you say so, Lord."

Leo sighed and remarked, "Please just call me Leo, you are elder to me, and it is not right for an on duty officer to placate themselves like this. It is disrespectful towards your uniform, Captain Akkoz."

He read the name directly off the nameplate on the right chest of the officer. This observation skill made the officer admire him a bit more, before Leo asked, "Are their frequent landslides in this are?"

The police man shook his head and replied, "No, sir, their have been very less landslides since the Cardinal Foundation had began looking after the area, last night there was a storm and it took out many of the trees that were planted on the edges to hold the grounds together. When the trees fell, they brought down a lot of ricks and the soil underneath with them. This is not just here, in many other areas such a thing has happened and there are teams deployed to clear up the debris."

Leo nodded and then asked, "I hope there has been no casualties."

Akkoz nodded and replied, "None, the people were all at home because of the storm, and even on the path their are indication lights that warn the drivers to be mindful."

Leo nodded and they discussed the issue for a bit before a babbling sound came from behind him. Turning around he found Elena and Julian standing on the car seat and peeking outside the window as Snow held them. The two of them have now become very active and even took initiative to try and mimic the voices of the people around them. Leo smiled at the two and waved his hands.

His actions instantly caught attention of the two children and they looked over while chuckling.

’Ping: Host, your eldest daughter wishes to trek the mountain with you. Your twins want you to carry them in your arms like you do normally and sing them a song.’

Leo smiled and then he looked around, he found that a portion of the way had been clear, but it was still not accessible. Then he checked the time and found that by the estimate they would be taking more than a couple of hours to get this done. The young man walked up to the car, and leaned down on the window to find Lily looking at him with sparkling eyes, and he chuckled before poking the tip of her nose and he said, "You little goblin, I know that you are thinking about something but it would need to hold until the path is clear and we have the cars travelling behind us, because if we went off now, the sky will turn dark. Let’s wait till we can have cars follow us."

Lily sighed but she nodded obediently. She waited patiently but the twins were making a lot of noise inside the car. Snow sighed and she looked at Leo as she said, "Love, please help me!"

Leo chuckled and then said, "Fine, Lily, you also come out of the car, while we cannot walk ahead, we can stay here in the vicinity but make sure you hold Ma’s hand."

Lily’s eyes twinkled with new found joy. She came out of the car, Leo picked up the twins and then he began to show them around the place. Akkoz sighed and then he approached Snow before he greeted her with a bow and asked, "Maiden, would you mind if I click a picture of your family? I would have it displayed in the town hall."

Snow was surprised but she only showed a faint smile on her face before she said, "After we have finished our things up north, we would like to visit your town and meet the people. I wonder if that could be arrange? We don’t want any big commotion."

Captain Akkoz nodded and said, "I will ensure that everything is handled well."

That said, the family came together and clicked a few pictures of their own. While on one side their was the landslide, on the other side of the road was a valley that gave them a brilliant sunset view. Lily looked at Leo and said, "Baba, I want to be carried too."

Leo smiled and said, "Feeling left out? Come here."

Then he handed the twins to snow and picked Lily up to have her sit down on his shoulders with his legs dangling in front of his chest. He undid her shoes and said, "Lily, hold on to my head tightly okay? I need to take the twins back. Look how they are making trouble with your Ma."

Lily replied brightly, "Okay, Baba!"

Then she held his hair in her palms and Leo took the twins in his arms, the reason he had undone Lily’s shoes was to make sure that they don’t hurt the twins by mistake. Snow smiled at the scene and then she picked her own phone and said, "Look over!"

The four people turned to look at her and Snow clicked the pictures cleanly. Then another round of pictures began, and even the guards and the staff of the Police team and the Disaster Relief Team were included, and these things were posted online. Lily asked, "Baba, this is a disaster site, what is the cop uncle doing here?"

Leo smiled and replied, "They are here to prevent accidents."

Lily was confused and Leo said, "Sometimes people drive fast and so when you inform Police, they set up a parameter to prevent the people from driving into obstacles."

The little girl nodded and then she turned to look at the barrier on the side, and said, "Baba, look, there are a few cars standing there."

Leo nodded and said, "Yes, there are a few cars."

Suddenly, Snow exclaimed and said, "Awww, look a mountain shepherd."

The people turned around again and from above the mountains descended a slightly brownish dog with a big fluffy coat. It was fast, and when it came close to Snow it sat down and whined out a few times before circling Snow and turning around to look at the mountain.

Beta said, "The dog wants to show us something. She is distressed."

Beta could detect animal emotions through their speech and gestures, this was why Momo and the rest were not afraid of the moving tin-woman. Leo said, "Snow take the twins."

Snow knew that Leo was going to follow the dog and see if there is a problem where he could help. Captain Akkoz was surprised and said, "Sir, let my deputy follow you."

Leo replied as he picked up Lily’s shoes and put them on her feet, "If he can keep up."

That was it, he let out a whistle and the dog dashed up the slanted hillside, and then Leo holding onto his daughter’s legs to keep her steady followed. He was so fast while climbing the hillside that the people opened their eyes wide. While Snow as not shocked, the rest were doubting if Leo was a human or a robot.

The young man quickly climbed up the mountain and then he followed the dog through the slightly damp forest and after a few minutes, they stopped as Leo realized the problem. It was another Mountain Shepherd. This breed of big dogs were strays in the mountains but they were loved by everyone, because it was said that they were the guards of Goddess of Mercy.

Leo took Lily off his shoulder and approached the second Mountain Shepherd. Leo sighed and said, "Well Little one, looks like you need some real help."

Lily looked at her Baba and asked, "What is going on?"

Leo shook his head and replied, "She is sick."
