Alpha Rejected His True Luna
Chapter 58: I Regretted Angering Alpha
Kane
I paused for a moment, unsure what to say. I was sure he’d notice, but I hoped it wouldn’t be so soon. Nova and I weren’t sure we wanted to see his reaction, but the conversation was inevitable.
"Dad thinks it’s not forever." I said the first thing that came to mind: "That if my mate is a werewolf, his mark must be stronger than Marcus’s." "Marcus," the name escaped Alpha Kane in a low growl. He spat the word like acid, and I nearly cringed at the hostility in his tone. "Do you feel something for Marcus?"
Alpha Kane’s eyes darkened faster than I could have imagined. Fear gripped me, but this time the excitement remained. Alpha Kane looked drunk as hell, his eyes black with rage, and I scolded myself for how easily Marcus’s name rolled off my tongue.
"No, I don’t," I muttered. "I feel nothing for him."
I was being honest; that was clear to anyone with an ear. Unfortunately, blind rage dulls the senses. Alpha Kane’s anger was worse than that of an ordinary werewolf. For the first time, I regretted angering Alpha Kane.
"Now we’re going to die," Nova groaned.
I think I agree with you this time. I shuddered. "Well, it was fun while it lasted, Nova."
"I love you, Zara," Nova wailed, "Nova," "but I hope you know this is your fault."
"I love you too, and thank you." I snorted. Even in the face of death, Nova was dramatic.
Alpha Kane stepped forward, towering over me. He slowly stalked me, as if I were his prey. The muscles of his jaw moved, and I tried not to be mesmerized by his deadly beauty in that moment.
"Do you think you belong to him now?" Alpha Kane growled, taking another step forward. "Because his mark is on your skin."
"No." I shook my head. "I don’t belong to him."
"You’re right." Alpha Kane growled, taking another step forward. "You belong to me."
As Alpha Kane took another step forward, I retreated. I flinched, hitting my back against the bedside table, realizing I had nowhere else to go.
My foolish pride flared at Alpha Kane’s words. While my stomach erupted with butterflies at his possessive words, my big mouth took over.
"No one owns me." I snapped at Alpha Kane.
My eyes widened as he froze in place, his lips stretching into a feral grin.
"You’re wrong, Zara." Alpha Kane’s voice was calm, but fury filled the room. His wolf was feral, desperately rushing forward. Alpha Kane’s voice dissolved into his wolf voices as they spoke to me. "You belong to us. It’s time to remind you of that."
"You belong to us."
His voice stirred desire in me, igniting a fire between my legs. I involuntarily clenched my thighs, trying to relieve some of the pressure. Alpha Kane didn’t miss a thing. His blackened eyes darted from my flushed face to my clenched thighs, and a low growl escaped his lips.
"It’s time you remembered," Alpha Kane growled, lunging at me. My instincts kicked in as I saw this enraged Alpha lunge at me. I tried to jump aside, but Alpha Kane’s fury made him faster and much stronger.
No. I was thrown back. His shoulder felt like a sack of flour. A soft moan escaped my lips as my stomach touched his shoulder.
The fire between my legs was now raging out of control, thoughts of possible punishments swirling in my head. My defiance and willpower were stronger than ever. Even though I had little chance of escaping Alpha Kane, I would never come quietly.
I thrashed against his shoulder, flailing my legs and pounding my fists against his back.
"I don’t belong to anyone," I barked, my small fist bouncing off his chiseled back. I could feel his hardened muscles beneath my fists, making it difficult to concentrate.
"Stupid, asshole Alpha," I chuckled.
A loud bang filled the room, and a searing pain shot through my ass. Alpha Kane raised his hand and spanked my bottom again. The searing pain continued, but it only fueled the blazing fire between my legs. My butt was right in his face, and I was almost certain he could smell my arousal.
"The more you resist, the longer this will last," Alpha Kane growled, throwing open my bedroom door.
He strode down the hallway, throwing open his bedroom door. I had to look around for a moment, my eyes wide with surprise.
Alpha Kane’s room was much nicer than mine. When had he managed to decorate his bedroom? Although the color scheme of the entire apartment was blue and white, Alpha Kane’s bedroom was almost entirely blue.
A blue canopy bed stood in the center of the room, with blue rugs and curtains to match. Alpha Kane had an entire bar at his disposal, nestled comfortably in the corner. "I didn’t do anything wrong," I hissed.
A loud moan escaped my lips as Alpha Kane raised his hand and pounced on my ass. Pain, mixed with pleasure, fueled a raging inferno between my legs. I felt my thighs grow wet as I squeezed them. I hoped the scent of my arousal would keep Alpha Kane from killing me.
"Quiet," Alpha Kane growled, throwing me onto the bed. "Save your voice, you’ll need it when I make you scream."
I visibly squeezed my legs together, sitting in the middle of Alpha Kane’s bed. His musky scent lingered enticingly in the blankets, urging me to stop struggling and let Alpha Kane do what he wanted.
I wanted to be a good girl for him; I really did, but he made it so difficult. The irritation of my disobedience was incredibly tempting, and I couldn’t contain myself.
I watched in stunned silence as Alpha Kane removed the belt he was wearing, holding the thick fabric between his fingers. His gaze never left mine.
"Put your hands behind your back." Alpha Kane’s voice was deathly calm; his rage had momentarily subsided, but it still raged somewhere in his mind.
My jaw dropped, and blood rushed to my face.
"He’ll probably strangle us," Nova moaned, her voice almost making me jump.
"I don’t think that’s what he intended," I muttered, my face flushed with embarrassment.
