Alpha Rejected His True Luna
Chapter 98: Teasing
Alpha Kane
Zara seemed to struggle with herself for a few moments. Her nose wrinkled, as it often did when she was lost in thought. I saw her struggling with the fire in her eyes. I guess she succeeded, because she turned and listened to me, barely interrupting.
Zara’s complete obedience was impossible to achieve. Maybe some bit in the office. She cursed and made snide remarks during our sparring sessions. My speed irritated her, having relied on it for so long.
Zara was incredibly fast for a werewolf. I saw her fight other men, and she won every time. Her speed amazed them. Everyone looked at her short stature and assumed she was weak; they were always surprised when they learned the truth.
She was fast, dodging every attack from a normal werewolf. I wondered how she would handle herself in wolf form. Commander Steal trained her well, no doubt.
My pack’s training was divided into two phases: a six-month course in human form, then six months in wolf form. You had to learn to defend yourself in human form before transitioning to werewolf form. A stronger human body led to a stronger wolf.
Zara had a powerful punch, especially when she was angry.
"You fight better when you’re angry." I pursed my lips.
Zara placed her hands on her hips, but I didn’t take my eyes off her face. Now wasn’t the time for my own desires. She needed to learn.
"I can’t just be angry." Zara rolled her eyes.
"If you lose, you’ll spend the life with Alpha Marcus," I smirked at her, suppressing the anger I felt at my own words. "Why don’t you think about it?"
My words seemed to have affected her. Her eyes filled with their usual fire. Her speed increased, as did her strength. She became incredibly agile and flexible, making her the perfect size to slip through my grasp.
I landed a few blows on her porcelain skin, resisting the urge to wince each time. I couldn’t be lenient with her, especially when she was facing her enemies.
We stopped a few hours later. Her chest heaved, sweat glistened on her skin. She looked perfect, the sunlight glinting on her hair.
"You’re doing well," I told her honestly.
Over the weeks of training, she’d improved. She’d grown stronger and mastered new techniques that increased her speed. I was confident in her abilities, but I knew she was capable of more.
If she learned to control her emotions, she’d become stronger. Anger fueled her, but distractions clouded her judgment.

We finally stopped training sometime during the day. I was exhausted and sore, but Alpha Kane seemed to be holding back. I’m sure he didn’t want to drain me dry, leaving me tired and broken by the future.
We walked silently into the dining room. The smell of food wafted through the palace, and my stomach responded gratefully.
"Food," I muttered, running my tongue over my bottom lip.
Alpha Kane noticed, his eyes burning into my bottom lip.
"Asbela loves to cook," Alpha Kane grinned, tearing his gaze away from my mouth. "He’s gotten the hang of it very quickly.
We entered and sat in our seats. A guest, Alpha Zake, was already there, and he was eating.
The three of us began to eat, and Alpha Zake filled the silence. At first glance, Alpha Zeke would have seemed intimidating to anyone. He was huge, with incredibly defined muscles. His personality was anything but.
He made conversation effortlessly, his laughter infectious. I became friends with him easily. I wondered how someone like Alpha Zeke had become friends with Alpha Kane.
I really liked Alpha Kane, but that didn’t mean I ignored his flaws. He was so serious all the time. Anger was one of his primary emotions. I couldn’t remember ever seeing him genuinely smile, and the thought tormented me more than it should have.
"And what’s a hot-tempered creature like you doing with such a hot-tempered Alpha?" Alpha Zeke turned his full attention to me. His bright eyes captivated me, holding me in place until my face flushed.
What was I supposed to say? That I’d angered Alpha Kane by making him lust after my body? I wasn’t going to say that to the world.
"If only he knew," Nova smirked. "Judging by his face, he already is."
"Hot-tempered?" Alpha Kane raised an eyebrow, looking at Alpha Zeke.
Alpha Zeke looked at Alpha Kane with an impassive gaze. "I said what I said. Are you denying it?"
"Not at all." Alpha Kane shook his head. "Just commenting."
"So, how did you two meet?" Alpha Zeke looked from Alpha Kane to me, his light eyes inquisitive and intelligent.
"I went away for a while, came back, and Alpha Kane was in charge." I shrugged. "I met him at practice."
"After you were late for practice," Alpha Kane replied simply.
"It wasn’t my fault." I narrowed my eyes at Alpha Kane. "It was a long day, and I forgot to set my alarm."
"Zara is completely incapable of following instructions," Alpha Kane informed Alpha Zeke.
Alpha Zeke’s gaze darted between us, amusement shining in his glowing eyes.
"I’m not incapable." I rolled my eyes. "It’s just... complicated."
"Complicated?" Alpha Kane chuckled. "More like impossible."
"I followed the instructions pretty closely yesterday, if you ask me." I snorted, crossing my arms.
My face flushed as Alpha Kane’s lips curled into a smirk. It was clear he understood what I was talking about. The memory of his c**k filling my throat surfaced in my mind, and my legs tightened out of habit. Alpha Kane noticed the movement, his dark eyes sliding down my thighs.
"Exactly." Alpha Kane nodded, his dark eyes burning into mine. I felt his desire, as if it were an extension of my own. It made it difficult to finish the rest of my dinner. Part of me hoped he’d just give in, finally giving me what I truly wanted. I wanted every part of Alpha Kane.
Alpha Zeke remained silent, his eyes twinkling with the same amused light as Beta Devin’s.
After dinner, the two of us went upstairs in silence.
