Alphas of Orion and their Unbroken Mate
Chapter 357: She is Also a Victim
(Amaia)
TJ was the one who operated on Queen Adrnia and delivered her babies. It seems he was also under the illusion and was made to forget. But his revelation that she went for her delivery to Istrale explains how no one knows that B-Twins are also her children.
"There is a reason she went to Istrale for her delivery while she was carrying Alnilam." Every eye in the room focuses on me but my gaze is on my silver-haired mate. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
This is going to be heartbreaking for him with everything he has been through. Learning he is related to those evil twins who killed his fiancée is going to be devastating.
Not only him but King Orion will have another heavy burden to bear.
"Did she tell you something?" Rigel quietly asks from beside me.
I nod. "I ask for forgiveness in advance for the stress my words are going to cause but she wasn’t carrying Alnilam alone. She also carried B-Twins in that pregnancy and they are Natianu’s children. He is her real mate. It was a heteropaternal pregnancy."
Murmurs of shock echo in the room but the two men with silver hair are the ones who appear utterly defeated. The shock makes their eyes widen so much that the white part in them is visible above and below the coloured part. Their eyebrows arch in horror and their jaws loosen.
King Orion has to be held by Mintaka or he would have crumpled to the ground while Alnilam appears to have frozen in his spot.
I leave my place and advance towards him, embracing his stiff body. Muscles coiled so tight on his back that I have to rub them.
"It’s not your fault. The vile things she did, you are the pureness that came out of it." Alnilam embraces me back but his agitation floods the bond between us all. Not only me, but Alnitak and Rigel have gathered around us too, holding him. They don’t speak but their touch acts as assurance that they are with him.
"I don’t consider them as my siblings," Alnilam’s rage is visible when he speaks.
"The double pregnancy with two different fathers," TJ quietly says, his eyes wavering to Queen Adrnia. Luckily, she is in a shocked state speaking quietly with Hathial and doesn’t catch the subtle hint.
He must have gotten the DNA test results and knows that Saiph and Rigel also have different fathers.
Catching his gaze, I shake my head at him, telling him that’s not his secret to tell. He nods at me in approval.
"Amaia, please tell me everything she spoke to you about, especially Meissa," King Orion questions with a heavy sigh.
"Her and Natianu’s daughter. Which makes her half-sister to Alnilam and the twins."
"She is not our sister," Alnitak says in distaste, his lips curling up in revulsion.
"From what I gathered from her conversation. Meissa is being controlled just like you people. She doesn’t agree with her parents and what Istrale is doing. She is a victim, which explains her behaviour at the Inter Guild Wars. She didn’t want to hurt you people but was forced. And that genuine curiosity she held to get to know you guys. She was desperate for a conversation," I try to explain while helping Alnilam sit down. Picking up a goblet I help him take a few sips of water.
I know this is not going to be easy for them to suddenly accept Meissa or trust her but I believe we can save her.
Mintaka helps his father drink water while Hathial is holding Queen Adrnia.
"As morbid as it sounds, I agree with Amaia. I saw her once when they were experimenting on me and trying to turn me into that monster. I swear I felt her pain and saw her silently cry. She stood there like she was being forced to watch and then fled," Aziel painfully reveals, leaving everyone with their thoughts on the matter.
"Anything else you remember about her?" Alnilam asks, intertwining his fingers and placing his chin on them.
With pursed lips, my brother sadly shakes his head. This must have been an extremely difficult experience for both of them.
"Tell us more, Amaia. Everything you can remember," Queen Adrnia softly asks.
I stand behind Alnilam, holding his shoulder, and my lips place a kiss on his soft hair.
Alnitak holds me from the side while Rigel remains on my other side as I begin the macabre tale of what I witnessed and experienced under her. Everything she said and revealed. Even the truth about my father and everyone else.
By the time I am done speaking, an air of gloominess has descended on us all, especially when I revealed the part of how she tried to have me killed through Saiph and he died protecting me. How he had always been under her control.
The only part I left out was that Rigel wasn’t King Orion’s son. That secret was to be revealed by Queen Adrnia, whenever she would find it suitable. Because unlike Alnilam, Rigel couldn’t control his emotions and it would be catastrophic to drop something like that on him.
"My son kept his oath until the last moment. I am so proud of him," Queen Adrnia adds with a sniffle.
"You are going to be reunited with your son. That’s my promise to you. He saved me, multiple times. And you saved my brother. It’s my turn," I assure her.
King Orion turns his body towards me. "Adrnia has spoken to me about the ritual you are planning." His hardened face flashes with determination. "You will have my full support, every resource I possess and also my magic at your disposal. I want my son back. They are done messing with us. We are going to take fate into our hands. It’s our time to rise."
Every head in the room nods at him. My heart eases more knowing I have the king’s approval too.
