Chapter 310: The wedding (1)

Cherry stared at the first dress Aurora tried on not feeling it for some reason. "I made it to be something a Goddess would wear. You know, since you were created from a Goddess and then there’s how special you are. With your white hair, I wonder if we should change the color of the dress since there is so much white but if that is tradition-"

"I don’t mind if you think another color would suit me. The only issue is the wedding is now a day away. Is there-"

"Leave it to me!" Cherry yelled excited about this challenge. She had the perfect color and style in mind for Aurora and if she started now she would be ready in time for the morning of the wedding. "If I fail, which I won’t, we will have this dress as a backup. Oh, there’s so much to do. I need to double-check that I have enough fabric."

Aurora chuckled, deciding to take off the dress by herself since Cherry was now freaking out. If anyone was going to make the perfect dress for her in a day, it would be Cherry. Since there was no reason for her to be here any longer, Aurora didn’t know what she would do now. Vincent already had the wedding planned out and just wanted her opinion on a few things but after that, she would be bored.

"Why are you frowning, Aurora? You don’t like this idea? This is all about you so-"

"No no," Aurora said before Cherrymisunderstood her. "I like that you are going to make a dress you think suits me. It’s just Vincent has taken control of this wedding so I have no idea what to do now that I am not trying on a dress."

"Oh. I guess it would feel weird to have to sit back while the groom plans the wedding. Honestly, for the weddings here the elders were the ones to kind of plan everything. The perfect night for couples to get married and they give this speech that I am so tired of hearing. It’s kind of nice to see Vincent take charge and I am hoping Victor follows his lead. If you feel left out, just tell Vincent," said Cherry.

"On one hand I feel left out but on the other, I want to see what Vincent has planned. I need to find a hobby now. I should visit my old home to pass time. I have not been keeping up with what happened to Artemis. Is there any news about her?" Aurora questioned as she could not feel Artemis’s presence. It was like the moon goddess vanished from the world.

"No. Not since the palace guards tried to enter her home. I am sure she will be fine. Nothing feels odd with the wolves so she has to be alive somewhere. I have hope that one day she will return. She might even make a grand return on your wedding day. If you have nothing to do, you can spend the rest of the day in my shop,’ Cherry suggested. She enjoyed having Aurora around.

"I will stay. I would love to catch up with what has happened while I was away and I am certain you want to hear what Vincent and I did on our trip," said Aurora.

Cherry went behind Aurora to help take off the dress. "I’ve been dying to know but I didn’t want to be nosy and intrude. Like always. I will grab us something to drink and eat. I have a long day ahead of me to start this dress."

An entire day passed since the time Aurora had stayed with Cherry to watch the new dress be created. Aurora spent the rest of her free time messing around with flowers or trying to get back in touch with the abilities she once had like being able to teleport but she had no success in that area.

On her wedding day, she woke up alone in the room she shared with Vincent. It wasn’t surprising since the tradition said the groom was not meant to see the bride. She was more surprised by Jane and Cherry visiting her early in the morning.

"Rise and shine our little bride. It’s so hard to fathom how not too long ago you came to us not having any memories of this place or Vincent but now you are getting married. Chop chop," Cherry clapped her hands as her happiness changed to being serious. "We have a lot of work to do so it isn’t any time for you to be in bed looking cute. I need you to get cleaned up and eat something so we can try on this wedding dress and alter it. Let’s go, people."

Jane and Aurora gave each other a look, both scared of how commanding Cherry was at the moment.

"Hustle people. I need to alter this dress to be perfect," Cherry said, clapping her hands louder to get the two women to move. "I am going to bring up all my tools. This bedroom will now be my workstation. I expect that when I return Aurora will have her clothes off and be sitting in water. I am counting on you, Jane."

Aurora and Jane relaxed once Cherry left that room.

"I never thought there would be a day she scared me but here we are. How are you feeling, Aurora? I remember the wave of emotions I had the day I was getting married. If you need any advice or any kind of help, I am here for you," Jane said.

Since her mother was not on board with her marriage, Jane only had her father to speak to but it wasn’t the same as speaking to another woman. Years later and her mother still at odds with her because of whom she married, Jane found it to be a blessing she had not spoken with her mother or anyone else but her father who was always on her side.

Aurora was grateful to have Jane and Cherry aiding her on this special day. "As of right now, I feel fine. I think once I have on the dress I might be in need of your help. We should move quickly before Cherry unleashes her wrath on us."
