An Eternity With You
Chapter 315: An eternity with you (2)
Aurora followed the music, entering a room that looked to be a dance hall once upon a time ago. The first time she noticed Vincent standing alone with a person right beside him whom she did not know.
Her breathing hitched as she took in his handsome appearance. His hair was swept back to show off his handsome features and he wore a black suit. She felt chills spread across her body though the atmosphere had been surprisingly warm a moment ago.
Aurora kept her eyes on Vincent as she walked to where he stood. She had no idea who was present except for Cherry and Jane since she was focused on Vincent. ’In a moment, I will become his wife,’ she thought.
From living as a shadow with the Goddess Artemis to becoming his wife was quite an interesting story. From beginning to end, there was something special about the love they had.
’You look beautiful,’ she heard Vincent’s voice in her head. It was romantic but she wished he would stop doing this in fear he would hear her say something embarrassing.
Aurora finally came to a stop beside Vincent who was smiling ear to ear. She didn’t have to guess that he was excited that this day had finally come. It should have happened many years ago but late was better than never.
"Thank you for the surprise. It was lovely to have her here. What did it take for you to let a stranger in?" Aurora whispered.
"She is no longer a stranger since I am marrying her sister and she is half witch. I can let her visit just once," Vincent replied.
His rule about not letting in strangers still stands. He had been around Regina long enough to know she meant no harm to his people. Timothy, on the other hand, Vincent was going to keep an eye on. His family history of being hunters could not be so easily dismissed. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
"I apologize that she could not come to the castle with us. She still smells like a human and it would start a lot of arguments if she were to attend."
"I know," Aurora replied, understanding why Regina wasn’t present from the very beginning. She and Regina were not upset about it. "I am satisfied with her being around to help me get dressed. Thank you for including this wedding tradition on our wedding day."
Aurora smiled, listening to the man before them as he started their wedding.
Not wanting to be rude by disrupting the man with their conversation, Vincent replied to Aurora in her mind, "You showed so much interest in the way humans get married that it was only fitting I do this for you."
Vincent hardly cared about the way humans got married but in the early days of his friendship with Aurora, she had always shown interest in the things humans would do. Their way of life had always been intriguing to her. As alpha and a werewolf, there was still a tradition they needed to follow but technically, with the mark on Aurora’s body they were already married. This wedding was nothing more than a show to please Aurora.
Still, he could see why the humans loved this tradition of the husband not seeing the bribe until the wedding and the bride dressing up in a pretty dress. Aurora had never been more beautiful than when she came into his view a moment ago. He was taken aback by the new length of her hair and quickly took a liking to her new appearance.
’How thoughtful,’ Aurora replied.
This was why she fell for Vincent after trying to kill him during their first meetings. He had this habit of always trying to fulfil her wishes because though she could grant wishes for others there was nothing she could do for herself. There was no one else but her Vincent would do all of this far. From travelling away from his people to help her get revenge and going through a wedding that was not normal for a werewolf. She made a mental note to express her love for him more regularly.
"You may now exchange your vows," the fake priest said, reading the instructions he had written on his hand. He didn’t see why he was the unfortunate fool to become a fake priest under Vincent’s orders.
His peers found it to be an excellent opportunity to be involved in Vincent’s but he could only think of its negative side. If he were to mess up and ruin the wedding, Vincent might have his head. He had taken the job seriously and went as far as writing down what needed to be said in the palm of his hand. Hopefully, no one had noticed him constantly looking at his hand.
Aurora panicked as she had forgotten to prepare a vow for Vincent. She had many good things she could say about Vincent off the top of her head but she was afraid they might come out wrong and she would look like a fool on her wedding day in front of all of the guests. This would be better as a private conversation between the two of them.
’Vincent, can we skip this part and say our vows when we are alone after the wedding? We can continue if there is something you wish to say-’
’It is alright,’ Vincent replied. As much as he would love for everyone to hear Aurora profess her love for him, he didn’t mind them having the moment alone if it would make her comfortable.
"Skip that part," Vincent ordered the priest.
"What? Uhm, by the power given to me by the alpha yesterday, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride and have a happy life together. Whew," he wiped his forehead, happy his job was done.
Aurora chuckled at the action of the strange priest Vincent had found for their wedding. As far as she knew, werewolves did not have priests so where had he dug up this person from? She would never forget this moment that was far from being over.
Emotions consumed her as Vincent held her face and leaned down to kiss her for the first time as husband and wife.
