Apocalypse Landlord: My Tenants Are All Beautiful Heroines.
Chapter 138: Two Swordswomen
By the time Aiden, Alisha, and Lily got home, the atmosphere was already festive. Carmila, Milarel, and Karina were there and immediately showered Alisha with love, and they didn’t forget to include Lily in it.
"You actually beat me to it," Karina clicked her tongue playfully before pulling Alisha into a hug.
Meanwhile, Milarel was ecstatic and pressed her ears to Alisha’s belly.
"Oh, the kid is moving already—ouch!"
As soon as she said those ridiculous words, Carmila pulled Milarel away by the ear.
"Even if the gestation period was reduced to a month, she just got pregnant. How are you hearing the baby already?" Carmila said, pulling both of her ears.
"Owieee! I get. I get!"
Watching the scene, Aiden let out a sigh of relief. He still remembered the reactions of his wives when one of them got pregnant.
Instead of being happy, the bitches had begun plotting how to give birth before her, even though they weren’t pregnant. Some of them even tried to assassinate one another.
Aiden had decided that his children wouldn’t be like him and his siblings, and immediately put an end to the mess by threatening to sterilize himself.
I wanted to threaten them with sterilization, but my tongue slipped, and I ended up saying I would do it to myself.
Either way, the trick worked, and the women lived in harmony, at least when he still had a body. By the time his body decayed, most of his wives had passed away either on the battlefield or of old age.
The few that remained were too engrossed in raising the children that they didn’t have time for romance. Remembering the scenes, Aiden immediately shook his head as if not wanting to recall such terrible memories.
Meanwhile, the women didn’t say it out loud, but all of them were eyeing Aiden and smirking. Aiden didn’t have to think hard to know what they were thinking about.
With Alisha pregnant, they got more time with him since she won’t do the tango with him anymore. That thought doubled their joy at her pregnancy.
[Host, maybe you should take a dip.]
You think so?
Aiden replied sarcastically, but still left the women to their devices. After breaking Joan, Aiden wasn’t in the mood to do what they wanted, at least not for an hour.
Instead, she went to the workshop. He needed to craft a couple of rings for his upcoming wedding. While he was at it, he would also ask what she wanted as a reward for helping with the battle.
[Your Tenant: Glenn is under attack!]
[Your exploration squad is under attack!]
The emergency notifications flashed before him, followed by a map marker.
"It’s close to the butcher gang’s base. Just what the hell is going on there?"
[Supervision is active.]
Aiden’s vision faded for a second before a new place appeared before him. Glenn had led a squad to bring the rest of Joan’s people to the apartment.
However, at the moment, two of them were on the ground with deep gashes on their chests. Two others were hurriedly patching their wounds while Glenn and a few enforcers stood there, weapons at hand.
On the other side, Aiden saw some familiar faces. They were the two swordswomen he had seen all those days ago. However, Aiden wasn’t interested in them, but in the sacks they were holding.
I have a feeling they are carrying something I want for myself.
[Host, you say the same thing for everything someone else has.]

Meanwhile, near the Butcher Gang’s warehouse...
This has turned into a mess.
Glenn thought, looking at the two women wielding swords. It was supposed to be a simple, straightforward mission. Get to the base, drag its people back to the apartment for Aiden to ’judge’.
Just when they were about to reach the place, the two women appeared and attacked them without saying a word.
Even now, they hadn’t said a word to Glenn and just stood there with sacks slung over their shoulder. The one in front had a short blade already drawn. The other had her hand resting on her hilt.
"I think there has been a misunderstanding," Glenn said, bringing his riot shield forward. "We meant no harm to the residents of that base behind."
Instead of replying, the woman with the short scoffed and showed him her middle finger. It was a childish gesture that Glenn didn’t mind, but there was something he had to mind as he looked over his shoulder.
They won’t last long without medical attention.
While they had med kits, the wounds inflicted on them were strange. No matter how many bandages they used, the bleeding wouldn’t stop.
The women there wouldn’t let them retreat, leaving Glenn only one choice... to fight.
He came in behind the shield, driving it forward like a battering ram, using his full weight to push the women back. However, the woman with the short blade was quite agile and rolled sideways at the last second for the shield to scrape past her.
Even as she dodged, the woman swung her blade at his exposed flank. The blade skidded off the edge of the shield, missing Glenn’s face by half an inch.
"Got you!" Glenn exclaimed, shoving away her blade with his shield.
At the same time, he used the momentum to throw a punch with his gauntlet arm at her jaw. She ducked under it, but she couldn’t handle the sudden motion with the sack on her back and fell to the ground, only to get whacked in the face by the shield.
The sudden hit weakened her grip on the sack, and it fell next to her, revealing the treasures she was carrying.
"Are those... fruits?" Glenn mumbled.
Meanwhile, the enforcers engage the second woman so she doesn’t interfere in Glenn’s fight. But they didn’t have to do that. After all, the second woman hadn’t moved at all, even as her sister fell.
It was only when two of Glenn’s enforcers peeled off and moved to flank her that she finally shifted her attention toward them. However, even then, she didn’t draw her blade and merely watched them with all the interest one would have watching a snail race.
The first enforcer lunged at her midsection, trying to tackle her to the ground. The woman saw it and turned her hip, letting the guy spear air before grabbing the back of his head and shoving him ahead.
The man hit the ground face-first, like a child who was learning to balance his body. The man groaned in pain as blood gushed out of his broken nose.
The second guy, who was about to attack her, froze to the spot. It wasn’t until another enforcer stepped up that the guy moved again.
At the same time, two enforcers attacked the woman. This time, one went for her head while the other once again targeted her midsection, trying to steal her sword. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
The woman’s expression remained uninterested as she ducked to dodge the first guy and drove her elbow up into the second enforcer’s chin as she rose. His jaw snapped shut with a loud crack, and his eyes rolled back into his head. Just one hit and the guy was knocked out.
"Fuck this!" The first guy got up and grabbed her from behind. "Go, hit her with the gauntlet—!"
The word had barely left his mouth when he felt the woman grab his hand, which was wrapped around her neck. Before he knew it, she threw her head back into his broken nose and heel-kicked his nuts.
Just then, the fourth and the last enforcer, at least the one not attending to the injured ones, lunged at her. The woman casually grabbed the first enforcer’s hand and tossed him over her shoulder, straight at the fourth guy.
The two crashed in a loud thud, joining the other two enforcers on the ground.
After dealing with them, the woman stood straight up and rolled her neck before resuming her watch on her young sister’s fight.
Glenn noticed it all from the corner of his eye and was amazed by her skills. After all, she folded four enforcers without using her weapon or breaking a sweat.
However, he couldn’t pay attention to it for long as his opponent’s blade swung towards his neck.
Glenn ducked and shoved his shield over. The blade hit the shield again, but unlike before, the impact rattled up his entire arm.
"Fuck!" Glenn cursed as his arm went numb.
He tried to create some distance to get rid of the numbness in his arm, but the woman was relentless and closed the distance while hitting the shield like it was her personal drum.
Glenn’s forearm had started to burn from defending against the constant strikes. The shield wasn’t in any better condition.
It could block bullets, but under the woman’s relentless strikes, it got dented in several places, and even a crack formed, running diagonally across it. One more strike and it would definitely fall apart.
Just as Glenn was at his wits’ end, he heard a familiar voice in his head.
[I have sent a little something to you. Use it.]
