Chapter 141: Chapter 141 Hot revenge!

"Let go of my child, you bastard!"

The woman screamed at the top of her lungs as she struggled against the men restraining her all while another already grabbed her son.

The woman’s eyes widened in horror as her son was being led to the rooftop edge.

Before she could even reach her son, the little boy was thrown over the edge.

"Ahhhhh!"

A second later, the woman herself was shoved forward.

She lost her footing and fell from the rooftop.

Her desperate scream joined countless others as she plummeted toward the horde of monsters below.

One after another, the survivors who had opposed Andrew were dragged to the edge and thrown down.

Within minutes, only Andrew and the survivors who supported him remained standing on the rooftop.

Most of them were men who had willingly followed his orders from the beginning.

Andrew dusted off his hands before releasing a long sigh.

"There were too many people relying on me anyway," he said dismissively. "It’s actually great that they’re gone."

Several of his followers laughed.

One of them stepped forward and glanced toward the battlefield below.

"Those two are still fighting."

Andrew followed his gaze.

Sure enough, Ivy and Darren were still alive.

Despite being surrounded by monsters, they continued cutting their way through the horde.

"You saw how they fought earlier," one of the men said with a chuckle. "I’m not surprised they’re still standing after all the monsters you released."

Andrew clicked his tongue in annoyance.

"Those bastards."

Meanwhile, Ivy had just finished eliminating another group of monsters when she finally looked back toward the rooftop.

Her eyes narrowed.

The survivors who had been standing there earlier were gone.

Only Andrew and his supporters remained.

Realization struck immediately.

"He actually did it," Ivy muttered coldly.

Her grip tightened around her weapon.

Without wasting another second, Ivy returned to the armored vehicle.

The engine roared to life.

She drove directly toward the building where Andrew and his men were hiding.

Once she arrived, Ivy quickly jumped out of the vehicle.

She reached into the supplies compartment and pulled out a large emergency flare.

A loud whistle pierced the air as the flare shot into the sky.

The bright red light instantly attracted the attention of nearby monsters.

At the same time, Ivy dragged over a heavy ladder.

With considerable effort, she positioned it against the side of the building.

The ladder created a direct path to the rooftop.

Even monsters that were too short or too weak to climb the walls could now reach the top.

Andrew’s eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.

"What the fuck is that bitch doing?" he growled.

"Looks like she still hasn’t learned her lesson."

"Stop talking and get us out of here!" one of his followers shouted anxiously.

His face had turned pale.

"The monsters you released haven’t tasted human flesh since they transformed. If they catch us, they’ll tear us apart!"

Several others immediately nodded.

Fear had completely replaced their earlier confidence.

Below, the monsters that had been attacking Darren suddenly changed direction.

Drawn by the flare, they began rushing toward the rooftop instead.

Seeing this....and without hesitation, Andrew slammed both palms together.

His earth ability activated.

The rooftop trembled.

Chunks of stone rose from the ground and merged together, forming a massive earth barrier around the survivors.

For the moment, it blocked the advancing monsters.

However, Andrew knew it wouldn’t last forever.

"Move!" he shouted.

"Everyone move!"

The survivors immediately rushed toward the opposite side of the rooftop.

They desperately searched for a way to escape.

Unfortunately for them, Darren had already noticed what was happening.

After eliminating the last few monsters around him, he turned toward the rooftop.

His eyes landed on the massive earth barrier.

"So that’s your ability."

Without hesitation, Darren activated his own power.

A powerful water force slammed into the barrier.

Cracks instantly spread across its surface.

Andrew’s confident expression froze.

"What?!"

A second impact followed.

The barrier shattered completely.

The protective wall exploded into countless fragments of stone.

The monsters needed no further invitation.

They surged forward.

Screams immediately erupted across the rooftop.

"No!"

"Help!"

"They’ve broken through!"

Chaos consumed the entire area.

Andrew attempted to reactivate his earth ability, but panic had already disrupted his concentration.

The monsters reached him first. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

His terrified scream echoed across the rooftop before abruptly being silenced.

Around him, his followers suffered similar fates.

Within moments, the rooftop that had once belonged to Andrew became overrun.

The monsters showed no mercy.

Below, Ivy watched the scene unfold.

Her expression remained calm.

"Perfect," she murmured.

Without hesitation, she raised her weapon to eliminate the monsters since they’re done killing Andrew and his group.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Several precise shots rang out.

The monsters climbing the ladder were struck directly in their heads.

One after another, they tumbled from the building.

Soon, the rooftop was cleared.

The remaining monsters either fell or wandered away in search of new prey.

Silence gradually returned.

Ivy lowered her weapon.

Darren approached from behind, panting heavily.

"Ready?" he asked.

Ivy nodded.

"Let’s get out of here."

Together, they returned to the armored vehicle.

As they prepared to leave, Ivy’s sharp eyes suddenly caught movement in the distance.

She looked toward another nearby building.

Several figures were standing on its rooftop.

Unlike Andrew’s group, however, these people remained completely silent.

Not a single person waved for help.

Not a single voice called out.

Their faces were pale with fear as they watched Ivy and Darren from afar.

It was obvious what they were thinking.

After witnessing Andrew’s fate, they were too terrified to attract attention.

They would rather remain hidden than risk provoking the wrong people.
