Chapter 13: Tiny World Utilization

Clayne stared silently at the tiny forest.

The confused beasts continued wandering near the glass shard while the spiritual Qi around the area flowed unnaturally toward it. Even the air around the shard itself looked distorted slightly under his heightened senses, as if something dangerous was constantly leaking from its sharp edges.

Then slowly...

A realization settled heavily inside his chest.

"If something in this real world is terrifyingly overpowered just like that piece of glass shard..."

His voice became quieter.

"...then doesn’t that mean things from the tiny world are useless here?"

The thought hit him harder the more he considered it.

Those beasts he ate earlier felt powerful inside the cultivation world, the gorilla especially, it was called a demon beast and a higher Realm Demon Beast at that due to how other beasts looked at it, yet after eating several spiritual beasts like it, he still remained hungry.

And now, with his senses enhanced through cultivation, Clayne could vaguely feel why.

The spiritual beasts...

Were too weak for this world.

Or more accurately...

The laws of this real world were far heavier and harsher than the tiny cultivation world, even the random glass shard blasted from a classroom window carried terrifying effects once it absorbed spiritual Qi from the miniature world, and compared to that, the demon beasts he consumed were almost meaningless.

Clayne slowly rubbed his forehead.

"...No wonder I’m still hungry."

Surprisingly, he accepted the idea rather quickly.

At this point, nothing about his life remained normal anyway.

Then suddenly, he froze because with his heightened hearing and senses, he realized something strange.

The hallway outside had become too quiet, there were no scratching sounds anymore, no groaning, no footsteps dragging against the floor, and for some unknown resson, he can sense with his enhance senses that there were no undead outside his classroom now.

Then suddenly—BOOOOOM!

Another massive explosion erupted somewhere outside.

The sound echoed across the city violently.

Immediately afterward, Clayne heard movement again.

Not near his room, farther away, he rushed toward another small window before peeking outside.

A zombie sprinted wildly through the school grounds below before launching itself directly out of a shattered window toward the explosion’s direction.

Then another followed. Then another.

Clayne’s eyes widened slightly.

"...Right."

His classroom sat near one of the outer sections of the building, the reason his own room had smaller windows was because of the air conditioner installation, but once outside the classroom, the school building had enormous open windows across the corridors and other rooms, and that meant the undead really were abandoning the building because the explosions were attracting them elsewhere.

Still, Clayne immediately stopped himself from relaxing too much.

"No..."

He muttered quietly.

"Doesn’t mean it’s safe."

His gaze slowly returned toward the miniature world.

Then he moved toward the glass shard, then toward the outside city, then outside of the room, then back toward the tiny world and the beasts wandering around in confusion inside of it.

Clayne’s mind rapidly worked through possibilities.

Even though he had become stronger through cultivation, he still could not recklessly rush into crowds of zombies.

Especially now that mutated undead existed.

That thing earlier nearly entered his room already.

If another creature like that appeared outside while he wandered carelessly...

He might die instantly.

Then suddenly, another idea appeared.

Clayne carefully reached toward the miniature world.

Then slowly pulled the glass shard out.

The moment it left the miniature forest, the confused beasts gradually calmed down again while the surrounding spiritual Qi returned to normal.

Clayne examined the shard quietly.

At first glance, it looked ordinary, sharp, broken, and nothing special, but he knew better now, and without hesitation, he threw it toward the classroom wall.

The moment it struck—BOOM!

A violent explosion erupted instantly.

The wall exploded inward while sharp cracks spread outward violently from the impact point. Chunks of cement scattered across the floor.

Clayne’s eyes widened immediately.

"...Holy crap."

The glass itself shattered into powder afterward, but the damage remained.

It looked like something sharp and explosive erupted all at once.

Then slowly...

Excitement appeared on Clayne’s face.

"I can use this..."

Immediately, he grabbed another metal chair leg, then bent it, twisted it.

Compressed it repeatedly until the metal became narrower and sharper like a crude spear.

Afterward, he carefully inserted the sharpened metal into the tiny cultivation world.

The reaction began almost immediately.

Spiritual Qi gathered around the metal rapidly.

At first, only faint wisps drifted toward it.

Then the surrounding air itself began moving, the glowing grasses nearby bent softly toward the weapon, and the river water rippled continuously.

Even the trees released faint spiritual mist toward the sharpened metal, the weapon slowly started glowing, and though not brightly, It’s enough that Clayne could visibly see spiritual Qi flowing around it.

Then something even stranger happened.

The nearby beasts noticed it too.

Several birds landed near the metal cautiously while absorbing traces of the overflowing spiritual Qi.

A fish repeatedly leaped near the riverbank close to it.

Even small rabbit spirit beasts gathered around the area while breathing deeply, clearly enjoying the concentrated spiritual energy.

The sharpened metal had become like a miniature spiritual treasure.

The longer it remained inside the cultivation world...

The more spiritual Qi gathered around it.

The process continued for a very long time.

Clayne watched carefully the entire time.

The metal slowly transformed, tiny glowing lines appeared across its surface faintly, and the spiritual pressure around it became heavier and heavier.

Eventually...

Clayne carefully pulled it back out.

The moment he did it, even he could feel the difference immediately because the metal felt heavier, sharper, and more dangerous.

Spiritual Qi still lingered around it continuously.

Then suddenly—

Clayne swung it hard toward the damaged classroom wall leading outside.

BOOM!

The sharpened metal slammed into the cement.

And instantly—

Crack!

The wall split apart violently.

Large fractures spread outward from the impact point.

Clayne’s eyes widened.

The combination of his cultivator strength and the spiritual Qi infused weapon worked far better than expected.

Without hesitation, he struck again.

BOOM!

Again.

BOOM!

Again.

BOOM!

The wall crumbled more and more with every impact.

Chunks of cement scattered everywhere across the classroom floor.

Still, even while smashing repeatedly, Clayne remained extremely alert.

His enhanced senses constantly monitored the classroom behind him.

If any undead entered...

He needed to react immediately.

But fortunately, the school has grown quieter now.

More and more zombies abandoned the upper floors toward the explosions outside.

Eventually—Crash!

Part of the outer wall finally collapsed completely.

Cold outside air rushed into the classroom immediately.

Clayne quickly stepped closer toward the opening.

Then looked outside.

And froze.

The city...

Had become hell.

Huge numbers of zombies flooded the streets below while running wildly toward the direction of the explosions.

Some undead jumped directly from buildings without hesitation like ants.

Several student zombies in torn school uniforms smashed against the ground below before crawling forward with broken limbs toward the sound.

Then suddenly—

BOOOOOM!

Another explosion erupted somewhere farther away.

Immediately, more undead began leaping from surrounding buildings desperately.

Clayne stared silently at the horrifying sight.

His city...

The familiar streets he used to walk through casually...

Had transformed completely into a dead zone.

Burning vehicles, bloodstained roads, broken glass everywhere, and screams occasionally echoed in the distance before disappearing.

Yet strangely...

Clayne also realized something important.

This chaos created opportunity.

Most of the undead had left the upper floors now.

As long as he carefully dealt with the remaining trapped zombies nearby...

He could finally move.

And the first destination inside his mind appeared instantly.

The bathroom, water, lots of it, enough for cultivation, enough for transforming the miniature world further.

Enough for survival.

His eyes slowly drifted toward the metal desks and chairs scattered around the classroom.

Then a determined expression appeared on his face.

"I won’t waste this opportunity."

...

Meanwhile...

Not far away from the school...

A girl wearing a stained school uniform quietly watched the endless stream of undead rushing toward the explosions she created earlier.

Her cold and focused expression remained calm.

Several corpses lay scattered behind her, some were ordinary zombies and others looked strange, partially mutated.

The girl slowly sighed.

"That was supposed to be emergency equipment..."

Earlier, she never intended to waste her explosives this early.

In her previous life, bombs like those were extremely valuable survival tools during the beginning stages of the apocalypse.

Especially inside cities overrun with mutated undead.

Still...

She did not regret it.

Because after obtaining the parasite she needed earlier, her senses changed dramatically.

The parasite heightened her sensitivity toward parasitical nourishment sources nearby.

And through that strange perception...

She discovered something, something valuable existed inside her school, something she never noticed in her previous life, she did not know exactly what it was, but instinctively she knew it would help her grow much faster compared to her last life, far faster.

Enough that sacrificing several explosives to lure away the undead became worthwhile.

The girl slowly looked toward the distant school building.

Her eyes narrowed slightly.

"I need that thing..."

Then suddenly—

Something emerged behind her.

A mass of exposed flesh slowly crawled upward from her back.

No skin covered it.

Only twitching muscle and wet red tissue as the horrifying flesh mass slowly extended outward before forming a long tongue like appendage.

The girl calmly licked it.

Then slowly looked toward the school again. And continued walking forward.
