Apocalypse Villainess Transmigrates Into The Beastworld With Debt
Chapter 75: That was delicious
Kulu was in charge of meat hunting, and Raiden was in charge of gathering the herbs. And Caspian... Well, he was acting like a heating system and hugging Hana from behind while she cooked, his chin resting on her head.
"Do you mind?" She grumbled, but his grip around her, just beneath her plump breasts, tightened a fraction.
"No, Hana, I do not mind at all." He said and sniffed in. "It smells delicious."
There was no way to know if he meant the food smelled delicious or if it was her scent that made him drool. But ninety percent of her was betting on her scent.
The meal was a test run for the new equipment. Once they were all back, she showed them how to use the stainless steel pans, feeling Caspian’s wide-eyed fascination above her as the meat began to sizzle on a surface that stayed perfectly cold to his touch.
Even Raiden seemed momentarily distracted from his brooding, though his eyes occasionally kept drifting away.
When the meal was done, and they had eaten an ’out of this world delicacy,’ the ’captured sun’ was dimmed for the night, and the air in the den felt charged.
"That was delicious," Kulu said, intending to compliment Hana, but she shrugged it off.
"It’s one of the many wonders you can create when you have good facilities and use the right ingredients."
Since they all had big stomachs in the sense that they could finish a whole boar and ask for seconds, she had used the largest pot they had to make hot pot.
Aside from Caspian, who was the incarnation of fire itself, the other two had their tongues burned when they rushed too fast, and Caspian laughed at them, calling them weaklings.
Kulu even wanted to use his wings to blow the heat away, but Hana immediately stopped him. One flap of those powerful wings could capsize the entire dinner, so she showed them how to do it like normal humans would.
Taking a spoonful of the steaming stuff, she brought it to her lips and blew on it. She blew a few times and said that with this, it would not burn them, but they were still skeptical about how such a little breeze could get rid of the heat.
She decided to make him try it. She brought the blown spoon full to Kulu’s mouth and said,
"Try it."
He was taken aback. He didn’t think she would actually try to feed him, but he took the opportunity as it came. Even if it was going to burn him, he would not care since it was Hana who fed him.
But to his surprise, it did not burn it. Yes, it was a little hot, but it was not so bad anymore.
"Hana, you have magic. The heat no longer burns." He exclaimed, and she darted her eyes away.
"Think whatever."
Raiden pouted his lips.
"I want to taste Hana’s magic too." He claimed.
"It’s not magic. Just do as I did, and it won’t scald you." She said, but was already taking up a spoonful and blowing it so Raiden could have his turn.
He opened his mouth delightedly and ate it.
"You’re right, bird. Hana does have magic." He claimed, and Hana sighed, shaking her head.
"Just do as I did, and it won’t scald you. If it’s too cold, it won’t taste great." She said, and Caspian huffed beside her.
"I want to taste this magic too." He growled, but she simply tilted her head at him.
"You don’t need it. Finish your dinner." She claimed, and he began to brood. Raiden had a good laugh seeing the dragon get turned down, and Hana, for some reason, felt relieved that he had cheered up a bit.
She didn’t know if it was because they both shared a past where they were betrayed by the people who were supposed to be their family, but she could somewhat understand his feelings.
But while she coped with that sadness with a hard heart and became a wicked villainess, he put up fake smiles and played tricks, where he laughed even if the laughter did not reach the pit of his belly.
In the end, they were both sides of the same coin.
"Tomorrow," Hana said, her voice echoing in the quiet as they all lay in their beds, ready to call it a night. "We will leave early. Kulu, you’re on scout duty this time. Caspian, you’re the heavy artillery. Raiden... you’re the guide. I want us at the Whispering Ravine by noon."
"We will be there," Caspian promised, his golden eyes glowing in the dark.
The next morning, Hana woke up to the daily login chiming in her head.
> [Daily login: Day 6]
> [CURRENT BALANCE: -986,880]
Today was the day she was supposed to cohabit with them, so she made a great plan for it.
Just like before, she went to take a bath in the lake with Caspian, mated with him there, and got her 15 thousand points, leaving her with -971,880 balance.
Then, they got back, and she wrapped herself with a tactical harness gear, which made her look futuristic.
She found a few more harnesses that were their size and told them to put them on.
"What is it for, Hana?" Kulu asked, but she gave a rather simple response.
"It just makes us look cool."
And while it was a simple response, it had him blushing.
’Cool.’ He wanted to look cool for Hana.
Ah, so gullible. She thought and turned to the others.
Raiden was checking out the elasticity of the harness while wearing a pair of jogger pants. Since he said he wanted to look his best, she helped with that.
She provided all of them with joggers pants—leaving their chest bare with the harness—and thankfully, their tails did not compromise the design of the pants.
"Is it comfortable?" She asked them, and they nodded.
Caspian seemed to love the pants, especially.
"It’s great and soft, Hana." He grinned, displaying his full set of teeth.
"What about you, Kulu? How is it?" She asked. "Does the harness obstruct your wings?" She asked, and his wings fluttered out in their full glory, sending a wave of heavy breeze over them, and then they slowly folded up.
"It does not, Hana. Thank you."
