Bai Meiyue glared at the horizon as if she could see Dacheng and his convoy at that very moment. To think those jerks took the young men to become the coolies and labourers, and as for women, they were reduced to nothing but mere slaves. As for those who were weak and disabled, they were dumped in her safe base, as if she had opened a trash can.

"What a bunch of jerks!"

Bai Meiyue did not object when it came to using young men as coolies. After all, she used many of the young men as coolies in her own safe base as well. But she would never accept using women as slaves for men. What was even more ridiculous was that Lu Yin was also a woman, and yet she did not think that there was anything wrong with using women as slaves for men. She was right there, and yet she allowed Chief Luo to separate the children from the mothers. How could Bai Meiyue not be angry?

Bai Meiyue was also a woman; she could never accept the actions, and in fact, she could not help but wonder what was going on in Lu Yin’s mind when she came up with such a ridiculous course of action. She actually agreed with such a thing? Maybe it was because Bai Meiyue was going to be a mother herself that she could not accept a child being separated from their mother.

"Alright, I will do just that!" Bai Jixuan’s eyes shone brightly. If they were to take in everyone except the second branch of the Lei family, surely they would be so pissed that they would end up losing their minds.

Bai Meiyue nodded and then turned to look at Lu Yu. She said to him, "I will give you a week to track your sister down and send her a message. Tell her that she had better release the women under her convoy or else I will track her down and kill her first."

As soon as she finished speaking, Lu Yu could not help but stiffen. This was the first time that he had heard such a cold voice from Bai Meiyue when she was addressing him. He nodded and replied, "I will do as you say. As for whether or not she listens—"

"There is no such thing as ’if she does not listen’," sneered Bai Meiyue. "If she does not listen, then I will use another method to make her listen, and I don’t think she will like it if I were to use the other method."

Lu Yu nodded. He knew that if Bai Meiyue were to use the other method, he would never be able to make sure that his sister would be fine once Bai Meiyue was done dealing with her. He could only hope that his sister would listen to him and let those women go, or else who knows what Bai Meiyue might do to her?

After clearing the air with Lu Yu, Bai Meiyue nodded and took her leave. She needed to arrange the living arrangements of the old, weak, sick and disabled.

When Bai Meiyue reached the ground where Bai Jixuan had brought the young ones, she was speechless. These kids were simply too young! Some were too small to walk, and the others who could walk were too young to string a sentence together. They were weak and severely malnourished, and the elderly were no different. They were just as weak as the children or maybe even more. But they were still walking with the children, looking a bit terrified. Bai Meiyue counted the people in the crowd and was stunned when she noticed that there were more than fifty children.

Bai Meiyue pursed her lips and commanded, "Take the kids and settle them all down with the rest of the children in the Lotus Leaf mansion; as for the elderly, take them to the centre and have them take care of the children for the time being, as for the rest, I will tell you what to do in a matter of time."

Looking at the number of children, even Shen Zhen was a bit troubled. Even though she knew that they could easily raise these children, she was still a bit nervous just looking at the number of children in front of her. What were they going to do with these many children when they already had more than a hundred children in their centre?

So, it was not a surprise that they were abandoned. But this kind of tactic was something that Bai Meiyue did not approve of and she would never agree with Dacheng and the others’ policies.
