Armed Train in the Apocalypse
Chapter 471 - 298: I’ll Go, He Yields! (Part 2)
Wen Biao laughed as he spoke, the beast’s face on his skin being stretched in a humorous way.
Once Wen Biao went down, He Jie finally spoke, "This market is likely secretly instigated by Black Kite, should we still go?"
"Go, why not?"
Su Huan asked strangely in return.
"If Black Kite’s people..."
"He doesn’t go, I go. I go, he backs off."
The train started again, leading the Xinma Gang convoy into Xinma County.
A two-story building at the highway entrance collapsed with a boom after being struck by Alps Hammer, and several small bulldozers got off the train, noisily starting to clear the building debris.
While the Xinma Gang members were bewildered, Nonsense walked up to everyone with a cart full of tools.
Soon, hundreds of Xinma Gang members joined the noisy team.
Once the clearing was nearly done, the train whistle sounded, and the train entered the county town over the ruins, the crown of the cultivation pod trembling.
There was no choice, the armed train was simply too wide, and while detaching improved efficiency quite a bit, one train couldn’t possibly pull the cultivation pod behind it.
So it could only take the widest main road, clearing buildings in its path and splitting bridges, as long as it didn’t have to go through tunnels, the train had its ways.
...
The Scavenger Market still needed some time to open, the market was set up in a neutral small town between Three Counties and Zhijin City, usually only a gathering place due to its special location, it was chosen as a trading market, just four or five kilometers from Xinma County to the town.
The train simply stopped in Xinma County.
With Wen Biao guaranteeing, other convoys were skeptical initially, but once the train started trading, everyone kept their doubts to themselves.
Whether it was weapons, food, information, or evolution materials, the armed train offered only the top quality.
Even better than what Black Kite traded them.
Instantly triggering a small-scale trading wave in Xinma County.
Two days later.
Carriage No. 5.
Lin Jin was hanging upside down on an iron clothes rack, doing sit-ups.
Up, eyes open.
Down, eyes closed.
A white skirt fluttered past.
Up, eyes open.
Down, eyes closed.
A pair of light green canvas shoes walked past.
Up, can’t go up anymore.
A cold finger poked his forehead.
Lin Jin helplessly opened his eyes, looking at his little girlfriend in front of him, wearing a form-fitting white T-shirt inside, a light green casual shirt outside, a faint fresh scent filling the air.
"The skirt looks nice."
"Anything else?"
Little Box asked with a smile.
"The jacket color matches, fresh, uh, clean, and the shoes coordinate well, harmonious colors."
"Anything else?"
Lin Jin scanned around Little Box’s ears and neck, but couldn’t find more details despite racking his brain, the intense soreness in his abdomen surged like a tide, making him unable to hang anymore, he fell head downwards.
"Oh, the lace is very sexy."
Adopting a new perspective, Lin Jin suddenly understood!
Little Box’s face blushed, she took a half step back, slightly lifted her skirt, then squatted with legs closed, and playfully poked his sweaty chest.
"Only think of Sisi! I just advanced to Tier One Evolver today!"
Lin Jin was startled, flipping off and landing with a thud.
"You’ve advanced?! What’s the occupation?"
"Tier One ’Wilderness Tracker’, how is it?"
Little Box proudly lifted her nose.
Lin Jin scratched his head, "Sounds like skills from a cartoon..."
Little Box sighed, "I consulted Director Xu, the train’s database doesn’t record my kind of occupation, the name was thought up by them since I have no combat ability, using ’hunter’ wasn’t fitting, and due to the ’topological perception’ skill, ’tracker’ seemed appropriate, so this name was chosen."
Lin Jin frowned, "Doesn’t that mean there’s no subsequent progression path?"
"Pretty much, bad luck may mean staying in Tier One for life, boo hoo, I’m so pitiful..."
Little Box pitifully swayed into Lin Jin’s arms.
Lin Jin held his little girlfriend tenderly, "Let’s find the train conductor, he’ll have a way."
While he wasn’t paying attention, Little Box pecked a kiss on his chiseled face.
Then contentedly wiped her lips, "So tasty!"
"Hehe, I was kidding, seeing your handsome face makes me not sad anymore."
Lin Jin tightened his arms, both amused and exasperated.
But this was normal, in love, people must find something to appreciate, Little Box admired his looks, and he in turn liked her serene beauty, stable personality.
Acceptance was key.
As the little couple were being lovey-dovey, an untimely "knock knock" sounded from outside the carriage window.
A few women cautiously stood outside the window, carrying baskets on their backs, and large bundles of clean clothes in their hands.
Little Box walked over to open the window, "Carriage 5 isn’t accepting things now, for exchanges go to Carriage 27."
The women outside replied timidly, helping each other pick up the clothes from the ground.
Only then did Little Box see that they were holding just a small portion, with a large pile of clothes still on the ground, seeing their struggling figures, she sighed, "Alright, this time it’s fine, next time go to Carriage 27 for exchanges."
From outside arose a chorus of grateful thanks.
After a while of bustling, the women finally passed the clothes through the window.
Little Box inspected them, throwing some soiled and torn ones back out.
Outside the window, they quickly pleaded, "These were so hard to come by, please reconsider and accept them."
Little Box apologetically explained while writing notes, "There are rules on the train, I can’t decide..."
