 Everything could come crashing down if what we thought wasn’t what was happening. I closed my eyes and reminded myself why I was doing this. Litha.
 I breathed in slowly and then out sharply. "If we crawl through this tunnel pipe, we should find ourselves somewhere in the Black Axe compound."
 I pointed upward where a large pipe was dripping with things better left unsaid and unthought. "I’ll go first."
 The pipe was big enough to allow us to crawl through, but it was hard with little space to turn and move. We used our bellies to crawl upward like worms, but that wasn’t the worst part.
 The smell and heat! The feel of my body cleaning up the sludge. I shuddered and almost threw up more than three times. The heat was also getting to me as we used up the little oxygen left.
 I thought I was going to pass out when finally my head touched something hard. I froze, then turned Hermit on, heightening my senses.
 A big mistake. My head reeled, and the smell of shit and rotten meat slammed into me. I gasped and released Hermit’s power. I slammed my head into the metal grate that covered the pipe and crawled out.
 I ripped off my mask and took in a fresh breath. "Shit." Even though I almost drowned because of the smell, I sensed that there was nobody outside.
 But I was right; we were in the Black Axe’s territory, all right—the main base of the gang. We were in some kind of waste room where the shit of animals was dumped and then flushed down the pipe.
 I shuddered, but I pushed all that away with a firm will and the mental promise of having a long bath later. Normal outside watch counts work in the Tower, but the one that was strapped on my hand was made right here and powered by mana. "We are right just in time. The show is about to begin."

 </div> We went out of the cramped room and saw our first real look at the place. The main building was bigger than I expected, made of bricks and thick wood.
 We predicted that Arkin would be in the guest room, and with the house plan already known, I knew just where to look. "Time to hunt."
 I looked at my companion, then brought out a small sack that juggled as I handed it over. "That’s the remaining balance," I told the mute hired man. "You can go now. Good luck."
 I heard light footsteps retreating behind me, then I turned to the highest window facing me. "Come here, Onus."
 Darkness ripped, and I smiled.
 Lila was about to have the best time of her life. She had been sent back from patrol five days ago with her squad because they got a little tip that the Silent Daggers might cause trouble.
 But she didn’t think so; with four Silver ranks currently in the base and countless Iron, it would be foolish for the Silent Dagger that relies on assassination to cause trouble.
 But that wasn’t what was running through her head. Finally, after days in the cold during patrol, she was back in a warm bed and her favorite thing of all—except for food and wine—men!
 She was naked from the waist down and straddling a muscled beast-man with a tiger’s body. "Ugh.. wo..w... I don’t know why you are like this! Why were you acting so shy earlier."
 The beastman grunted and growled. He flexed his claw and tried to yank her head closer, but that was exactly what Lila was waiting for. She loved to look for dominant men and then break them, turning them into her sex slaves.
 She was about to begin when she sensed something. She was up in a flash. Her fit body curled into a roll as she flung herself away from the bed.
 Crash! The glass shattered, and something dark hurled through. The beastman hissed and jumped up in surprise while I could do nothing but stare at the naked beast-man and the half-naked woman.
 A surprised silence fell as the three of us looked at each other. I broke it when I saw the waist of the beastman. "I think I understand why you go for the beastman. And this is also the first time I’m seeing one naked too."
 Lila’s mouth curled. "You stink."
 And I did. I smelled like shit and piss. "I know."

 I smiled inside my mask. Honestly, I didn’t think it would work. To work something out in theory is different than seeing it with your own two eyes. "It’s really working."
 Lila flinched as she tried her power again, but it didn’t react. It seemed like it was draining out of her. "What did you do?" she demanded. What type of skill was I using?
 I began to move forward. "I didn’t do anything. Not right now anyway. But your drinking water has been poisoned by mana-eating poison. And none of the cheap ones. I know a rich person." I flashed a smile.
 Lila hissed. "Even if I can’t use my power, I’m still one of the captains of this place, and a mere Iron rank won’t stand.. .!!"
 I raised my hand and slammed my force power against her. It rammed into her chest and drove her into the wall with a loud bang! "Shut up. Right now your strength and power are draining. You are not powerful. Now I have some questions..."
 The beastman moved, but all I did was look back at him, and he froze. Such terrifying pressure from me! Better not to get involved. I was only here for the good time anyway.
