Gu Jiaojiao quickly turned around, covered her eyes, and shouted. In reality, Second Brother Gu and Li Xiulan were just embracing in the back seat, sharing a little kiss.

When Li Xiulan heard Gu Jiaojiao’s voice, she was so startled she shoved Second Brother Gu away and immediately pulled open the car door to get out.

Second Brother Gu knew his sister had definitely seen them. He didn’t explain, though, figuring it was better that his thin-skinned fiancée didn’t know.

He chuckled, patted his sister’s shoulder, and then said to his fiancée, "Lanlan, let’s get in. Jiaojiao is a better driver than I am."

"Oh..." Li Xiulan obediently got into the car. She believed Second Brother Gu’s words one hundred percent.

Gu Jiaojiao watched Second Brother Gu help Li Xiulan into the car and then close the door, a wave of satisfaction washing over her.

Her brother and sister-in-law had a great relationship, and she was happy for them.

Li Xiulan sat in the back next to Second Brother Gu, her cheeks flushed. She looked at him with a mix of nervousness and apprehension.

"You two, stop messing around. You’re distracting the driver." Gu Jiaojiao shook her head helplessly at the sight. ’These two characters are such a handful.’

Hearing his sister call out, Second Brother Gu quickly composed himself. "Jiaojiao, how much were those two coats? I told you I’d pay."

Gu Jiaojiao shook her head. "Don’t worry about it. The coat is my wedding gift for my sister-in-law. I was planning to give it to her anyway."

Li Xiulan was very touched when she heard this. "Thank you, Jiaojiao."

"You’re too kind, Sister-in-law. The coat wasn’t expensive. Just think of it as a small token from me to my future sister-in-law," Gu Jiaojiao said with a smile.

"Alright, then I won’t be polite." Li Xiulan smiled and nodded, looking very moved.

Seeing this, Second Brother Gu chuckled and patted Li Xiulan’s head. "Silly girl. You two are sisters-in-law. It’s only natural for Jiaojiao to give her sister-in-law a gift."
