In the next two days, Cheng Su took her parents and in-laws around Guangcheng, eating and shopping a lot, and though quite a bit of money was spent, seeing their faces glowing with happiness made it worthwhile.

Money is meant to be spent; only when it’s spent does it truly become money. Otherwise, kept in a bank, it’s just numbers and paper.

On the fourth day in Guangcheng, Cheng Su planned to help Ying Xiaoya with some matters, and before going, she called Cheng Jianguo from university to come over and keep the elders company and left Xiao Qi with them.

They had shopped enough in the first two days, so while Cheng Su attended to matters, everyone stayed at home, playing with the grandchild and watching TV, and before they knew it, the day had passed.

Before heading to Xiao Ya’s place, Cheng Su first arranged to meet Cheng Yaozong, who was seeking her advice and views on the future of real estate.

Cheng Su was slightly surprised, wondering how he became so sure she knew about it.

"Last year, you spoke about investing in plots. I discussed it with my big brother and found it feasible. Seeing how things have turned out this year, I wanted to hear your insights on the current market standards for housing prices," Cheng Yaozong explained with a smile.

Cheng Su understood and thought for a moment before saying, "Although the economy has improved, it is somewhat better than before. People’s living standards have risen, but the purchasing power is still lacking. Yet, every era has wealthy individuals and those with foresight. The advantage of big cities is strong absorption capacity; just look at how much the number of people in Guangcheng has increased compared to last year. Once people experience the benefits of city life, they naturally don’t want to return to farming because cities offer more opportunities!"

She said while noticing Cheng Yaozong smiling, then touched her head and said, "Look at me, showing off in front of you!"

Cheng Su uttered an "Oh" and stopped talking about superficial things, directly diving into the topic, "Our tradition always revolves around having a roof over our heads. Houses once built will not worry about being sold, but prices matter. I think middle to upper-middle-class individuals are far more than super-rich ones, so perhaps targeting them wouldn’t be a bad idea. We can’t build extravagantly high-end ones that people can’t afford; even if they sell later, it’s often at a loss. Additionally, regarding plots, aesthetically pleasing locations, like those with a river view or mountain backdrop, could be developed into exquisite luxury communities. Just as people vary in wealth and status, so do houses; everything depends on local circumstances."

"So, you favor addressing practical needs more?" Cheng Yaozong tapped the table.

Cheng Su nodded and said, "We can probably test the waters, starting by building one or two structures; if the reception is good and funds are recouped, we can immediately proceed with the second-phase project, smoothly continuing onwards."

Cheng Yaozong nodded and suddenly changed the subject, "Did you have a bad experience shopping at Lailai a few days ago?"

"That employee has been fired!"

This was expected, and Cheng Su wasn’t surprised, saying, "That’s a minor issue; people often judge others by appearance, explaining her sharpness. However, as a service employee, her attitude and quality weren’t satisfactory. If a mall wants to upgrade its level, it must uphold service principles, and customers are always right. Even if sincere treatment isn’t guaranteed, at least serve them properly without categorizing consumer capacity by attire, right? Otherwise, offending regular folks may not matter much, but offending certain understated and ordinary high-ranking officials could be troublesome."
