Chapter 105: So Dirty

Why hadn’t he heard of someone this strong before?

Lucien finally realized that the person before him was definitely stronger than him.

Yet among players, Lucien was absolutely certain that he was currently the strongest.

So, who exactly was this person in front of him?

Insight Skill

Name: Ying Fenger

Level: 50

Class: Light Magic Warrior

HP: 30,000,000

MP: 10,000,000

Skills: Light War Spear, Hammer of Judgment, Holy Light Resurrection...

Description: Do not provoke her; it will do you no good.

After reading her basic information, Lucien fell silent.

It was clear that she was a Native Resident, not a player like them.

No wonder he had never heard of her before.

Compared to players, Native Residents had much higher health pools.

However, they could only be resurrected using skills; once they lacked a resurrection skill, if they died, they were truly dead.

No wonder she dared to come here and could easily take down a Level 45 Boss.

It was just that Native Residents were rarely seen in the wilderness.

So at first, Lucien hadn’t even considered that she might be a Native Resident.

He thought she was a player just like him!

At that moment, Ying Fenger suddenly smiled.

It was a smile as warm as a spring breeze, making it impossible to imagine that the person before him could beat a Level 45 Boss to death with a giant hammer.

"Oh? There’s actually a Chosen One here, and a Chosen One under Level 35 at that."

A crisp voice reached Lucien’s ears.

"Hello, I am Falling into the Human World, Level 31."

Lucien forced himself to greet her. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

He showed none of the composure he usually displayed in front of other players.

There was no other way; among players, he was at the very top.

But in front of this person, he was likely nothing more than an ant.

One naturally had to be careful when facing the strong.

He watched as she skipped over like a young girl.

She looked at Lucien with a face full of curiosity.

"My name is Ying Fenger, a Level 50 Light Magic Warrior. You’re only Level 31 and you dare to come here? How impressive."

Lucien didn’t know what she was thinking.

Am I impressive?

If he were Level 50, would his attributes be stronger than hers?

"I just heard that equipment enhancement stones drop here, so I came to try my luck," Lucien said.

Ying Fenger looked at Lucien with an innocent expression.

"Equipment enhancement stones? Do you really need to make a special trip for those? Aren’t there plenty of them in the warehouse?"

"Why come all this way? The monsters here are ugly to death; they’re not cute at all!"

Hearing her words, Lucien was instantly speechless.

Wait, so when you said I was impressive just now, it wasn’t because I was in a Level 40+ monster zone at Level 31...

But because I wasn’t afraid of the monsters being ugly?

And you say there are plenty of enhancement stones... just what do you do for a living?

But looking at her equipment, although the glow was hidden, Lucien could clearly feel the powerful energy emanating from it.

It even far surpassed his strongest piece of equipment, the Eye of the Demon God.

Could this girl be decked out in Divine Artifacts?

Thinking that she might be wearing a full set of Divine Artifacts, Lucien momentarily entertained thoughts of murder and robbery.

But then he remembered the miserable state of that Level 45 Boss.

Lucien couldn’t help but shudder; better forget it!

He didn’t want to be turned into a meat patty.

Seeing that Lucien hadn’t spoken for a long time, Ying Fenger said somewhat crossly, "Hey, I’m asking you something. What are you thinking about?"

"Ah? Oh, oh!" Hearing Ying Fenger’s voice, Lucien finally snapped back to reality.

"It’s nothing. If there’s nothing else, I’ll go hunt some monsters to see if I can get some equipment enhancement stones."

Hearing that Lucien was leaving, Ying Fenger pouted, looking a bit unhappy.

Seeing her unhappy expression, Lucien broke into a cold sweat.

He absolutely could not afford to make this little ancestor unhappy.

The two of them weren’t familiar; who knew what kind of person she was?

Although she looked quiet now, the tragic sight of that Boss was still fresh in his mind.

The Boss’s corpse was even still lying over there!

Thinking of the corpse, Lucien remembered that she didn’t seem to have picked up the loot the Boss dropped!

He looked toward the meat patty that was once a Cat Demon; sure enough, there were several pillars of light beside it.

Lucien spoke up, "Aren’t you going to pick up the items the Boss dropped?"

Hearing Lucien’s words, Ying Fenger was clearly dazed for a moment, then she looked at the Cat Demon she had smashed beyond recognition.

She looked at Lucien apologetically.

"I accidentally forgot. Wait for me a moment. If you don’t wait for me, I’ll hit you with my hammer!"

After saying that, she skipped over to the Cat Demon that had been turned into a meat patty.

But hearing her threat to hit him with her hammer, Lucien really didn’t dare to leave for a moment.

Heaven knows if she was serious or not; if she really hit him with that hammer, how many hits could he take?

After waiting for a while, he saw Ying Fenger standing by the Cat Demon’s corpse, frowning at the items on the ground.

She didn’t bend down to pick them up; she just stood there watching quietly.

Suddenly, Ying Fenger waved at Lucien, signaling him to come over.

Though he didn’t know why she wanted him there, Lucien walked over anyway.

"What is it?"

"Um, could you help me pick up the dropped items?"

Even though Ying Fenger was wearing a veil, it was obvious her face had turned bright red as she spoke.

Lucien found it strange. "What’s wrong? Is there a problem?"

Ying Fenger lowered her head and said very softly, "Those things are so dirty and disgusting."

"Dirty?"

Looking at the items sitting on the pile of mangled flesh, Lucien didn’t feel much of anything.

He didn’t think it was dirty; he just thought this Bloodthirsty Cat Demon had died a rather miserable death.

Lucien crouched down and picked up the Boss’s loot directly from the pile of mangled flesh.

"Ding! You have picked up an Enhancement Stone (Gold)."

"Ding! You have picked up a Bloodthirsty Shield (Gold)."

"Ding! You have picked up a Bloodthirsty Demon Claw (Gold)."

"Ding! You have picked up a clue to Marcuse’s Laboratory."

There wasn’t much loot, but three of the items were of Gold quality.

Especially that Gold-grade Enhancement Stone.

The Bloodthirsty Shield and Bloodthirsty Demon Claw—one weapon and one piece of armor—weren’t very useful to Lucien.

However, this clue to Marcuse’s Laboratory—what was that?

Out of habit, Lucien prepared to stuff the items into his backpack.

But suddenly seeing Ying Fenger still beside him, he snapped out of it.

These things didn’t belong to him; she was the one who killed the monster.

He was just helping her pick them up.
