Beast Evolution System: Devourer of Heaven
Chapter 374: Divine Dragon and Holy Maiden
Ved had no idea whre he was, he sent his soul sense and didn’t see Naledi then he started panicking.
His soul sense barely spread being a kilometres in all directions and he couldn’t see Naledi anywhere.
He turned his attention towards the mermen in front of him, they sat in row after row kowtowing towards him.
’ Manas, What’s happening?’ he called out to Manas hoping for answers and she didn’t disappoint.
" Welcome back Ved, as for what happening, you’ve been deified by this group of mermen."
’ Yeah I can see that but why?’ he was confused and had no idea what was happening.
" It’s a long story." Her answer made him grit his teeth in frustration, she laughed in his head.
" Okay fine I’ll stop." Then her voice grew serious, " Things aren’t good Ved, in fact I can confidently say they’re really bad.
When the two of you were sucked into that space rift, you were supposed to come out somewhere in Pangera.
Somebody interfered with that, I can’t tell you who but that rift ended up sending you to a whole new universe."
Ved froze, ’ What the fuck do you mean a whole new universe, weren’t all universes destroyed back in the great war?’
" Who told you that, while it’s true that nearly 99 percent were wiped out, some like yours survived though it was shattered to pieces.
Besides, new universes are being born every now and then, this one is one such universe.
No more than 3 billion years old, it grew fast, while not matured yet, it’s laws are powerful enough to support at least a sovereign."
He understood but at the same time he did not, ’ So are you saying there are sovereigns in this universe too?’
" No, birthing a sovereign is not that easy but the universe can theoretically support them, doesn’t mean they exist yet."
He nodded, ’ So what’s happening with these people, why are they worshipping me?’
" Oh, yeah, this seems to be a weak planet in this universe, the strongest creature isn’t above rank 3.
Naturally something as strong as you would be seen as a God, when you arrived, aura brought back life.
You were bleeding and when your blood touched the soil, this world facing a massive drought saw plants grow again.
Naturally they defied you."
’ Okay, how long have I been here and how can I get back home?’
" You’ve been here for about 5 years and with your power, getting home will not be easy.
You can’t open a spatial rift to another universe until you become a God and even if you’re become a sovereign and can survive the void.
The distance between universes is infinitely vast, it would take you countless years to get back .
Another way is to open a gate to smother dimensions, those dimensions are connected to every part of the mortal realm.
If you can navigate then you can find your universe. Right now you can only enter two dimensions.
The mystic dimension and the dream realm, my advice would be to go for the dream realm instead.
The mystic realm is hard to navigate and the dream realm is much more simple, unfortunately until you learn the law of dreams.
Entering the dream realm with your physical body will not be easy and don’t think it will be because you’ve done it before, that was a freak accident brought about by your image."
He was just about to point out that freak accident, Ved grew quiet, right now he could tell his spirit was damaged.
His soul sense could barely spread a kilometre away which was pathetic in comparison to his true strength.
He decided to rest, after his image became physical it was able to create life origin drops that can heal even his spirit.
The same went for Naledi but the process was much slower than healing his soul damage let alone his physical body.
--------------------------
Somewhere else in the universe, Naledi was thinking the same thing, enough time had passed and her image had created another soul origin drop.
She didn’t use it, in two years it should be able to create another and so she closed her eyes to sleep.
She was woken up by the sound of swords clashing and explosionsz unable to use her soul sense she didn’t know what was happening.
Unlike Ved she didn’t have a helpful A.I in her head and could only wait to see. Suddenly the doors were pushed open.
A young blonde woman dressed in what looked like medieval princess gown came rushing in to the palace.
She knelt in front of Naledi’s bed and closed her eyes. " Holy Maiden, this humble one apologises for disturbing your slumber.
Out Kingdom, my home is under siege from those who envy your power and wish to use you for their gain.
I beseech you holy one, land us you cold hand and freeze the souls of those who blasphemy you."
The princess started crying, Naledi was genuinely confused but she needed information.
With the little energy she had she sent out a voice transmission, using a voice transmission was easier then using soul sense.
" Speak, why am I here?" Her voice sounded just as beautiful in her head as it did in real life.
The princess seemed surprised then happy, it had been five years since the sky cracked she the holy one fell from above.
Before then, their world was burning, by the actions of those so called Gods, their world had moved closer to their star.
Yet instead of being destroyed, the temperatures grew to absurd levels and for hundreds of years they suffered but barely surviving.
They worshipped with all of their might yet the Gods never answered and then on that day she came.
Her beauty lit up the world and she gently floated to the ground like a flake of snow, her presence chilled the world.
Clouds covered the sky and rain fell once again, snow followed and the world breathed once more.
This of course terrified those who used the misery for their gains like the church, it extorted people and controlled the little water that remained in this world.
Her presence threatened their rule, they called her a demon cast down from heaven and claimed her presence was blasphemy to the Gods.
The empire resisted claiming she brought peace and life to the world, something their so called Gods have never done in hundreds of years.
This sparked a war between the church and the empire and here they were, the empire was losing.
After hearing all of that, Naledi sighed inwardly and a tiny snow flame appeared above her.
’ Take this, when the time comes, place it on your chest.’
