Then, they provoked another more advanced interstellar civilization, which led to their catastrophic destruction.

The home planet of the gnome alien race, called Celestial Star, was directly engulfed by the "Red Sorrow Fog," bringing a wave of genetic mutation to the entire planet.

Any living being, whether animal or plant, was affected, each undergoing genetic mutation amidst the disaster.

More tragically, the gnome alien race was the primary target of the "Red Sorrow Fog" version.

Other animal and plant genetic mutations often evolved towards higher life forms.

But the gnome alien race mutated towards monstrosity; once mutation started, they quickly lost their sanity, eventually becoming terrifying monsters, completely losing their reason and becoming bloodthirsty creatures.

The high-ranking members of the gnome alien race, together with their families and some elite members, took interstellar battleships or spacecraft, fleeing Celestial Star and escaping into the universe to avoid enemy pursuit.

Some unwilling scientists gathered overnight in several super laboratory bases to start researching countermeasures.

To delay the time the "Red Sorrow Fog" would destroy their genes, they first managed semi-mechanical transformation, partially retarding the genetic mutation for some of the gnome alien race.

Unfortunately, the "Red Sorrow Fog" lived up to its reputation as a superweapon crafted by a more advanced interstellar civilization.

Even though the gnome alien race on the home planet persisted for more than a year, they were unable to crack it, eventually and unwillingly facing the destruction of their entire race.

Some of the unwilling scientists transferred their consciousness into the server’s database, becoming electronic life forms, forever trapped in the server, eking out an existence.

However, the energy of the laboratory base would eventually run out, and by then, they would still face total extinction.

Just to delay the time of death, they let the laboratory base operate in energy-saving mode, hoping to extend their time by a thousand years.

In energy-saving mode, they themselves also mostly fell into slumber.

This is one of the reasons why Grey Wolf could capture them so swiftly.

"Boss, there are quite a few intact pieces of equipment in this base that we can utilize.

As the voice of Little Idiot continuously played, all Tier Nine Mechanical Beasts slumbering on the fourth underground level emitted a blood-red glow from their eyes almost simultaneously.

In about ten seconds, these already rusted Tier Nine Mechanical Beasts began to move, climbing up from the ground and starting to activate their components.

Another ten seconds later, their bodies were fully activated, regaining agility, then each started interfacing with the terminal consoles, reading the terrain map, and headed towards the mechanical monster groups on the underground first, second, and third layers.

In just three seconds, their movement speed transitioned from initial sluggishness to agility, to rapid movement, bringing them back to normal status.

In the next moment, various weapons popped out from within their bodies.

There were guns, high-tech cold weapons, and even small detectors or trackers.
