Chapter 141 - 140: A Mother and Daughter Reunion
Bai Xiaolang pursed his lips.
It had been two years since their little sister was sold.
In two years’ time, children grow up fast.
Their appearances are bound to change.
Bai Xiaolang shook his head. "She looks a little similar, but she’s definitely not our sister."
Bai Xiao Zhu looked at him, confused.
Bai Xiaolang’s mouth twitched. "I know you miss our sister, but the person in front of us is a little butterfly. Our sister is a little lizard, remember?"
The light in Bai Xiao Zhu’s eyes slowly dimmed. "Oh, right. How could I forget..."
Wen Dabao watched them with a beaming smile. "You still haven’t answered my question. What are you looking for?"
Bai Xiao Zhu looked at her, still feeling a sense of familiarity, and took two steps closer. "We’re looking for the pudding our mom made."
Upon hearing this, a smile bloomed on Wen Dabao’s childish face. "Is that so? You two look like you’re pretty good at fighting. Want to have a go with me?"

This was the first time a female had ever challenged them to a fight.

Wen Dabao’s eyes grew even more excited. She unleashed her little fists, giving the two boys a lesson in tough love.
A few minutes later, both Bai Xiaolang and Bai Xiao Zhu were forced to take it seriously.
They had never seen such a fierce little female fighter. Afraid of hurting her, the two of them held back, which only earned them a ferocious barrage of attacks that sent them retreating step by step.
Wen Dabao also noticed the two boys were holding back and had no intention of actually ruining the occasion.
She just wanted to test them and see if the two boys had the ability to protect themselves.
Seeing that their strength was quite impressive, she felt relieved.
Wen Dabao waved her hand. "No more fighting. I’m leaving. I’ll come find you to play again when I’m free."

Bai Xiaolang thought for a moment, then quickly made a decision. "Alright, Bai Xiao Zhu, you stay here and help her look around the area. I’ll go check the surveillance footage. We’ll meet back here in ten minutes."
The orderly command calmed Wen Dabao’s heart a little. "Okay."

After a round of socializing with Lu Tingyan, Bai Su was so exhausted she snuck back to the dressing room, collapsed onto the sofa, and breathed a sigh of relief.
Thank goodness she had the Clone Skill. Right now, her Clone was out there with Lu Tingyan, handling the social obligations for her.

Wen Xiaobao was very timid and shy around strangers.
She recognized the pretty lady in front of her.
Before they came, her dad and older sister had both told her that this lady was a bad person and that she should stay far away and not get close.

Wen Xiaobao mustered her courage and walked in from the doorway. "I... I need to use the bathroom..."
She had never been here before, and her older sister was busy fighting with those boys.

Wen Xiaobao hesitated for a moment, but she couldn’t resist the inexplicable sense of closeness and longing she felt. She took small, obedient steps forward and was then pulled into an embrace.
Wen Xiaobao froze for a second, her little face quickly turning red.
Bai Su lovingly rubbed her little rabbit ears. "Little one, what’s your name? Whose child are you?"
With a flushed face, Wen Xiaobao looked down shyly and said, "My name is Little Treasure."
Bai Su felt even more affection for her. "What a cute name! Would you like some strawberry pudding? After you eat, I’ll take you to find your family."
Wen Xiaobao blinked her big eyes, a flash of curiosity in them. "What’s strawberry pudding?"
Bai Su placed the strawberry pudding from the nearby table in front of her. "Want to try some?"
Wen Xiaobao’s eyes widened instantly as she looked at the beautiful strawberry pudding.
’Something so pretty is actually edible?’
She leaned in curiously for a sniff. The rich, milky aroma mixed with the scent of fruit was so enticing it made her mouth water.
Wen Xiaobao was a little hesitant.
’Dad said not to eat things strangers give you when you’re out...’
She was a good girl and always listened.
But the smell of the strawberry pudding kept wafting into her little nose.

When Wen Xiaobao met Bai Su’s encouraging gaze, she finally couldn’t resist picking up the spoon, scooping up some pudding, and putting it in her mouth.
