Beastmaster of the Ages
Chapter 4273 - Clash of the Shields!
There were some defiant Yueling cosmic gods who didn’t believe the hype, and chose to throw themselves at Tianming. But regardless of their strength, each one who struck him was sent flying backward, slamming into the ground so hard the world spun around them.
Their furious expressions perfectly embodied the phrase “impotent rage.”
Tianming, wreathed in the Thousandway Bitzrun, closed in on the dazzling radiance with ease.
The entire battle danced according to his rhythm. He barely needed to lift a finger. Those Yueling cosmic gods who had lorded over the Dongshen Arena were now being pummeled senseless by the supposedly weakest Nullity cosmic gods. Their cries for mercy were useless.
He smirked. “I should really thank my daughter for delivering such a precious gift all the way here.”
The dazzling radiance before him made his eyes burn with desire. If he could seize it, his cultivation would be set for a long time to come!
But just as Tianming reached out for it, he heard a roar of furious wrath behind him. He turned calmly and found Yueling Zhao charging forward, each hand gripping a colossal sword of fire and lightning.
The swords, their power at least void class, came slashing straight down toward Tianming’s forehead.
Yet, the blades cracked the moment they struck the skypole stars.
Despite Yueling Zhao’s overwhelming might and momentum, her attack was utterly meaningless against that divine shield. Even she was blasted backward, smashing into the ground and tumbling for hundreds of thousands of meters before coming to a dizzy stop.
“Li Tianming, you vile wretch!” She climbed to her feet, eyes filled with venom. “If you’re truly a man, drop those skypole stars and fight me fair and square! I’m not even a tenth your age, yet I’m not afraid of you!”
Tianming chuckled. “You look ridiculous in your powerless rage. If you’ve got that much energy, go home and drink your milk instead of embarrassing yourself here.”
From start to finish, she had been completely toyed with.
“Cowardly trash!” The woman was stubborn beyond belief. Even in such a situation, she still lunged at Tianming once more.
“Boring.” Tianming had no intention of humoring her. If she insisted on fighting, he would oblige.
Even against an opponent whose raw power far exceeded his, there was only one thing he needed to consider: could his attacks hurt her?
Once again, Tianming unleashed the same technique he had used to slay Yueling Xi!
Gripping the Grand-Orient Sword with both hands, he brought it crashing down in a savage, domineering strike filled with devastating might. This attack carried the combined physical power and divine abilities of his lifebound beasts.
The strike blasted Yueling Zhao’s left-hand sword away. Just as the blade was about to split her skull, a shield covered in lightning and flame appeared. It had four layers, and it forcibly absorbed the blow!
This time, it was Tianming who was sent flying.
“Hmm?” He rose to his feet, staring at the colossal shield that was ten thousand metres thick. Tianming couldn’t help but find it hilarious. “Ohhh, so that’s why you’re so confident. Neat, you got your own life-saving toy too.”
Tianming could tell he couldn’t pierce this shield with his personal power alone.
In other words, Yueling Zhao’s shield, though inferior to the skypole stars, was still one of the most powerful defenses in all of the Realm of Chaos. It was clearly a gift from the imperatores of Yueling Starcage.
She had come fully prepared.
If we really dueled, even the second totemic calamity of the decapath era godswords and Ji Ji’s Vapourize might not be enough to kill her. Good thing this woman’s pride stopped her from staking her mother and aunts’ honor.
Given the trap she had set, she would have accepted any condition he proposed... but his marriage proposal had struck right at the heart of her arrogance. Otherwise, today would’ve been far trickier.
Now that she had revealed her shield, she had no more secrets left. Neither of them could harm the other. Continuing to trade blows would be pointless.
And so, Tianming sneered and advanced again.
“You’re really going to keep doing something meaningless?” Yueling Zhao frowned.
Before she could react, a vast silver swarm appeared behind Tianming. It wrapped around the dazzling radiance as a massive metallic sphere that started rolling toward the Nullity Guild.
“You—!” Yueling Zhao’s face darkened as she rushed after it, only to collide with Tianming mid-charge.
“Don’t be so hasty. Take care of your blood pressure, Daughter,” Tianming said with a grin.
The two colossal shields, his skypole stars and her super shield, crashed into each other again and again, sending shockwaves through the battlefield. Neither could harm the other, yet in the chaos, Yin Chen rolled away with the dazzling radiance.
Yueling Zhao’s eyes went wide with fury. Watching the treasure slip away, she was so enraged she nearly burst into tears.
“Give it back! Give it back to me!” she screamed, attacking the skypole stars in madness.
But Tianming didn’t move an inch. Smiling calmly, he said, “Keep throwing your tantrum. In the end, you’ll realize I’ve taken the dazzling radiance... and your army will be in ruins.”
“Ugh...” After her frenzy subsided, Yueling Zhao stumbled back a few steps, staring in despair at the battlefield. Her once-proud Yueling cosmic gods were already in complete shambles. They were bleeding, broken, and chased down by their enemies with no coordination left.
It was only natural. Those who fought in the Dongshen Arena were desperadoes, not soldiers. They were fierce in victory, but once the tide turned, self-preservation always came first.
After Ji Ji’s Vapourize, many Yueling cosmic gods were injured. Their bloodlust faded, and fear took its place. Seeing Yueling Zhao herself being driven to tears by Tianming sealed the deal. Apart from Yueling Momo’s direct followers, who would risk their lives for her now?
Some fled, some were wounded, and countless others lay dead.
It was a scene of utter devastation.
Without a doubt, after this battle, the balance of power between the two starcages within the Dongshen Arena would be completely overturned. Yueling Starcage’s dominance had fallen.
“I surrender! I surrender!”
“Brothers of Nullity, stop fighting! We’re all fellow sick people, spare us!”
“We admit defeat!”
Those without courage now threw down their arms, their morale shattered. The once-proud warriors of the Godly Sands now looked utterly humiliated.
Seeing this, Yueling Zhao nearly coughed up blood.
“I’ll execute any who dare surrender!” she roared.
No one dared surrender anymore, but they did run even faster.
Any army cobbled together in haste would crumble like sand once defeated.
The Nullity Guild was actually the same. However, they had a far stronger leader. Tianming’s command and confidence had filled them with overwhelming morale from the very start.
With the Yueling army now in full retreat, their defeat was absolute.
