Beastmaster of the Ages
Chapter 4331 - A Bigger Storm is Brewing!
Following his decision to annihilate the Violetmoon Chaos Star Ruin, Tianming quietly cultivated within Skyplunder Capital while Yin Chen kept a close watch on the four female imperatores.
Be it the Realm of Order or the Realm of Chaos, the key to changing the situation is my own strength. With the Primordial Chaos Beasts and especially the Great Xiwa Hell Realm, Tianming's growth would increase the collective combat power of his forces.
The Realm of Chaos looks calm, but the fuse is already lit. After mutual probing, their next move depends entirely on how confident they are. Not even the four female imperatores, including Imperator Long, could call the shots.
I feel that Li Muyang is still hiding something from me.
Despite his faith in Skyplunder, the current chaos forced him to rely on his instincts. Since Li Muyang didn't intervene, he figured the man had it all under control. As for his older brother, executing a bunch of cosmic-god essences that had been tormented and drained by the Primospirit Ancestral Tree was easy.
News of Yueling Hong’s death broke shortly after. Li Tianzi had acted swiftly to control the narrative, making it appear as though Yueling Hong and Lin Rong had been executed before the "grand wedding" took place.
The news shattered the delusions of those few who had hoped the wedding would usher in a golden age of peace for the Realm of Chaos. Yueling Starcage didn't pursue the matter. On the very day of the wedding, Tianming ruthlessly executed the grandfather of his four brides. It was the ultimate display of flagrant disregard and ruthlessness.
The news spread like wildfire, but Yueling Xiao, who had yet to leave the capital, was even faster. He was already at the Kunruler Palace. His face burned a dark, livid red, twisted in absolute fury.
"Violetmoon Chaos Star Ruin... your grandfather... They're all gone." Yueling Xiao’s throat constricted as he forced the words out, his features twisted in a mask of pure agony.
The four imperatores were dumbstruck. Their threats had backfired; their opponent had simply executed the hostages, and did so well ahead of time.
"Abominable! The sheer audacity! To die a thousand deaths would be too merciful for them!" Yueling Xiao stared out at the city, his fists tight and his killing intent overflowing.
Then turning his eyes toward Imperator Long, he said through gritted teeth, "These foreign devils have gone too far! We honored the terms of the bet and went through with the marriage, but they struck again, even after the Adjudicator had used that bet to settle our feud. This gives us the perfect justification. We can now petition the Adjudicator to mobilize a grand army and wipe Nullity from existence! Let’s see who else has the courage to stand by them then!"
Imperator Ji shook her head. "Father, we’ve moved past the point where excuses or justifications carry any weight. Regardless of their provocations, we must stick to the Adjudicator's plans and chip away at their strength. Imperator Skyplunder is shrouded in mysteries. He's not a man to be underestimated. At this stage, our only choice is to follow the Adjudicator's lead."
"If he were actually powerful, why would he be cowering here? You’ve all been fooled by his bluff!" Yueling Xiao snapped, no longer able to hold back. He bit back a retort, wanting to call her paranoid, but he knew better. If he spoke his mind, even his status as her father wouldn't stop her from slapping him.
Imperator Long, the youngest of them all, was visibly seething. Casting a chilling look at Yueling Xiao, she said, "This entire mess with the Primospirit Ancestral Tree happened because you indulged Grandfather's recklessness. Whether it’s the lost bet or the fall of Violetmoon Chaos Star Ruin, we’ve been forced to endure these losses in silence simply because we started it. "You two old fossils are completely pathetic! Stop stirring up trouble and get out of my sight before I end you!"
"Fine!" Yue Lingxiao couldn't bear to stay a moment longer. Choking on a mixture of grief and fury, he was forced to swallow his humiliation and retreat.
The air between the four remaining sisters was thick with tension.
"It's maddening to know we could pop their bubble in an instant, yet be forced to stay our hand!" Eyes shut, Imperator Long's face was a mask of ice.
"The Adjudicator is wary. He views this as more than just a 'bubble.' Although we have the upper hand, we must still be patient. Our priority is to carry out the Adjudicator's instructions to cut off Imperator Skyplunder's backup plan. Cut that off and then we can completely eliminate Nullity."
"Simply put, the Adjudicator is going for the throat. Small bites won't crack their foundation. Especially Li Tianming—if he survives, the destruction of the Nullity would be irrelevant. Once he reaches the Realm of Order, it’s only a matter of time before he returns to tear down everything we’ve built." Imperator Tu's thoughts mirrored those of Imperator Ji.
Nobody spoke. Even if Tianming had once again humiliated them, they had no choice but to sit there and take it.
"This is going to crush morale, isn't it?" Imperator Tu asked.
"Yes." Imperator Jian shook her head helplessly.
"What about a small-scale retaliation in the Inverse Battlefield? We can use Violetmoon as cover to hit their other Chaos Star Ruins in the Inverse Battlefield," Imperator Tu said, her voice cold.
"It's too late for that. Just a few years ago, Li Tianming used that star-like lifebound beast of his to expedite the mining across their Chaos Star Ruins. With most of the chaos middlekin stars transported back to Nullity, they’ve pulled nearly all their forces from the Inverse Battlefield," Imperator Long replied.
"This brat..."
No one could have foreseen that their perfect momentum would suddenly fall apart as soon as Tianming reappeared. It all began with the Primospirit Ancestral Tree; Tianming saw the opening and took it.
"The Adjudicator gave us another objective alongside our mission here on Nullity," said Imperator Long.
The other three looked at her.
"Every dazzling radiance must be destroyed if possible. Whatever remains should be shipped to Violetmoon, hidden, or placed under heavy guard. We can't allow the imperial son's progression to continue."
"Yes." They all nodded.
"I'll see to it," said Imperator Ji.
"Alright." Rising to her feet, Imperator Long stared into the distance and said, "In that case, I'lll locate Princess Qing's main body and secure the Nullity Starsource. Nothing is more vital than that."
"With this done and the green leaf left on Li Tianming by that supreme being, we only need to trap and kill these sky plunderers and the Mu clan cosmic gods will be nothing more than defenseless sheep." As she finished speaking, the coldness in Imperator Long's face intensified.
They each radiated their own aura, and since Yin Chen's presence was so distinct, it was nearly impossible for it to listen in on their conversation. Nevertheless, after eavesdropping on the women for hours, Tianming realized they had already settled on a countermove.
They're holding back, which means a bigger storm is brewing.
The question was, what was their ultimate play?
