Chapter 140: Chapter 140 Hidden Bashful Wolf

Elara’s POV

"Elara and I just got married yesterday, and now my face is all messed up," Dorian whined at me. "Bad rabbit."

As he spoke, two tails sprouted from him, his eyes shifted to purple, pupils spinning—clearly still not completely recovered.

I quickly pulled him into my arms. "Your Highness?"

Dorian smiled up at me. "Elara, you smell so good..."

Barrett’s face twisted with disgust.

Julian said flatly, "Just toss him outside."

Finnian rolled his eyes.

The rabbit hadn’t used enough of whatever he’d given Dorian. I could tell from Finnian’s look that to him, when it came to me, there were no brothers—only competition.

"Elara, I really, really like you. Elara, can you hold me?" Dorian pleaded.

There was a reason puppies were impossible to resist. Dorian right now was all fluffy ears and swishing tails, dazed expressions, nuzzling against me like a lost animal. He ignored everyone else completely. And I hadn’t pushed him away.

Why would I?

I was enjoying this. Green veins spiraled around him as I tried to calm him down—instead, he collapsed unconscious.

His body felt like it was on fire.

"Where’s Si?" I asked.

Kaelen replied, "Said he had business to handle. Went out through the window."

Damn it.

I muttered a curse under my breath. Barrett stepped forward and hoisted Dorian over his shoulder, planning to carry him to his own room, but Dorian’s grip on me was iron-tight. No matter how hard Barrett tugged, Dorian refused to let go.

Just as I was about to lose my patience completely, a message from Silas popped up. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

Silas had written: "He likes to wiggle his ass and play pet, so I gave him something special. Keep him as a pet. Tell me when you get bored with him and I’ll reverse it. Have some things to take care of, back in a few days. Don’t go wandering around while you’re on your period. Miss me."

I let out a long sigh.

Then I typed back: "Be careful. Come back soon."

Silas responded: "With you waiting for me? Absolutely."

After replying, I had Barrett carry Dorian to my room. Barrett clearly wasn’t thrilled about it, but he wasn’t going to argue with me.

Dorian shifted back into his animal form, curling up at the foot of my bed, clutching my clothes, sleeping peacefully as a baby.

Barrett stared down at him, and I watched the irritation drain from his face. He looked as though he realized how pathetic it was to compete with a child.

I changed into clean clothes—I’d given the ones I was wearing to Dorian. When I emerged, Barrett’s eyes practically glowed. I was always generous with compliments for them, but I was the one who truly shined.

"Elara..." Barrett moved closer, his voice dropping low, his gaze fixed on me like he wanted to consume me entirely.

"You troublemaker," I said, "your eyes are intimidating."

Even as I said it, I walked toward him. My warm fingers traced along his Adam’s apple, then traveled down his chest until they rested directly over his heart.

Barrett’s ears flushed red. He stood perfectly still, every nerve concentrated on where my hand touched. His jaw quivered. His entire body seemed electrified.

"Elara, Dorian is right there," he whispered.

He’d never been teased like this before. His heart felt ready to burst. And I just stood there, smiling like it was nothing special.

I could see the doubt in his eyes, as if he was wondering if he wasn’t appealing enough.

"So what?" I teased, pretending to miss his point. "He doesn’t bite."

I leaped into his arms, wrapping my legs around his waist, holding tight.

Barrett was completely undone.

I could tell he was thinking I was too skilled at this.

"Why are you blushing?" I touched his ear, my expression pure mischief.

Barrett swallowed hard, looking down at me. His temperature soared. His animal ears appeared, and he couldn’t control them. "Elara, don’t."

I knew he was reminding himself that I was on my period, that his turn wasn’t until tomorrow, and that he shouldn’t behave like an animal.

"Don’t what? Like this?" I asked innocently.

Barrett squeezed his eyes shut, his whole body shaking. He didn’t dare move. Because I was sucking on his throat.

He looked completely captivated, as if he loved how daring I was.

My hands worked his ears—stroking, squeezing. A soft sound escaped him. And that sound melted my brain completely.

Okay, these guys all know how to make those sounds, don’t they?

Top quality. Absolutely top quality.

Maybe I got too caught up in it, because my wood power activated on its own, connecting to Barrett’s Mind Realm. I opened my eyes and saw a small wolf cub floating in space. Spotting me, he bounced happily into my arms.

When I returned, Barrett was supporting me, eyes closed, savoring my touch.

Barrett—this big, imposing guy—was actually bashful during moments like this. His face was burning red.

Eyes shut, letting me do whatever I wanted, restraining himself from asking for more, just focused on being my plaything. I blinked in realization.

They’re all so different from what you’d expect. Silas—the one who should be sweet and gentle—turns out to be a wicked lop-eared rabbit. Barrett—the one who should be dominant—is acting like a nervous virgin.
