Becoming a Deity from Planting the Bodhi Tree
Chapter 1451 - 513: The Bitter Sea Is the Nether Sea, Establishing Buddhism
Emperor Yi stood silently in the void, the once pitch-black armor long gone, revealing his true form. Dressed in a dark robe, he exuded an air of lofty elegance with a stern and indescribably compelling aura.
Especially those deep and indifferent eyes, still retaining the majesty of ruling the Ten Thousand Realms, as if within their open and close lay the rise and fall of suns and moons, the collapse of star rivers.
Jing Qiu felt that even though this one had long lost the imperial throne, he still overlooked everything in the human world.
No love or hate existed, only an all-encompassing perception of all things as one, with Only Me supreme overlooking them.
"I have been searching for you for a long time."
Jing Qiu gazed at this past Heavenly Emperor.
If the Sea of Realms was truly led by the Heavenly Court a century ago, then this person before him was the Supreme existence that once dominated an era.
Even the strongest of the Great Ancestors would bow down upon seeing him!
"I know, but before now was not the best time for us to meet. Doumu’s attention is constantly on you, able to lock onto your position through the observation of the celestial stars at any moment."
Emperor Yi explained,
"Now, with the war raging in the Sea of Realms, she doesn’t have the resources to watch you constantly; this is our opportunity to meet."
"Furthermore, the awakening speed of Divine Dao far exceeds my expectations, unexpected events have appeared on the Investiture of the Gods side, and this is one of the reasons I came to see you in advance."
"What are the three things?" Jing Qiu’s voice was steady.
"First, I need you to return to the Heavenly Court, enter the Investiture of the Gods, and attempt to convey a message inside it."
"To whom?" Jing Qiu knowingly asked.
"You don’t need to know," Emperor Yi’s tone suddenly became stern, allowing no challenge, no room for negotiation.
"The second thing is, you need to assist me in releasing the Bitter Sea!"
Jing Qiu’s gaze suddenly sharpened: "Do you know what you are saying?"
"Only by overturning the Bitter Sea can we slow down the current awakening of the Investiture of the Gods," Emperor Yi calmly said, "Additionally, if I recall correctly, your World Venerable Lineage is said to be the strongest at the End of Dharma; the active Bitter Sea in the current age could bring you more benefit than harm."
Jing Qiu responded coldly: "Tell me your third thing."
Emperor Yi looked deeply at him: "Only if you can accomplish the second thing will we discuss the third thing, which gives me confidence to stop Doumu Yuanjun."
Jing Qiu replied indifferently: "Sacrificing All Spirits to the Bitter Sea just to delay the awakening of the Investiture of the Gods, to stop Doumu’s advance? Emperor Yi, you are no better than Doumu."
"It seems Doumu hasn’t yet told you the Heavenly Court’s plan," Emperor Yi said blandly, "When that time truly comes, All Spirits will likely find suffering more countless than the Bitter Sea’s descent."
"You can be straightforward with me," said Jing Qiu, "rather than remaining mysteriously enigmatic. At this point, is there still a need for concealment? Tell me, what exactly does the Heavenly Court intend?"
"To govern all living beings through Divine Dao, allowing them to support the Heavenly Court until reaching the Other Shore," Emperor Yi said word by word, "At that time, the Ten Thousand Realms and All Spirits will all be the foundation of the Heavenly Court’s ’Enlightenment.’"
Jing Qiu’s expression remained calm, as he had heard similar words before.
Seeing Jing Qiu unresponsive, Emperor Yi simply laid it bare:
"Doumu is continuously advancing the Heavenly Court’s occupation of the Realm domain, especially those few Great Dao Ancestral Lands, using them to replenish the Dao Rhyme needed by the Investiture of the Gods, while also gathering All Spirits, guiding them to worship the deities of the Heavenly Court, and collecting incense."
"During this process, the Investiture of the Gods will continue to awaken, with its Divine Positions gradually being unveiled, strengthening the Heavenly Court’s power. The fall of the Sea of Realms is merely a matter of time."
"Once the Heavenly Court’s occupation of the Realm reaches a certain number, Doumu will be able to harmonize with the Investiture of the Gods, returning to the Transcendence Domain. By then, it will be too late to stop her."
Emperor Yi looked at Jing Qiu deeply: "Believe me, you won’t want to see the Heavenly Court reestablished in the world, ruling over the Sea of Realms. Because at that time, all living beings will find even death difficult to accomplish."
Regarding Emperor Yi’s previous words, Jing Qiu’s expression became no more than grave, recognizing the trouble with the Heavenly Court.
Yet the last sentence prompted Jing Qiu to ask seriously:
"What do you mean by ’even death difficult to accomplish’?"
Emperor Yi shook his head: "It seems you still don’t understand the meaning of ’Foundation of Enlightenment.’ Today, you and I cannot reach a consensus, and the conversation should be temporarily set aside. When you understand, come find me again."
His tone shifted heavily, decisively stating:
"The Bitter Sea must be released beforehand! Only All Worlds Suffering Sea can suppress the condensation of Divinity in the Sea of Realms—"
"Finally, a word of advice, do not attempt harmonizing with the Nether Sea again; this is for your own good!"
With those words having fallen, this presence was already dissipating here; Emperor Yi’s arrival was merely a projection.
And the next moment.
An even more formidable gaze descended from an infinite height, yet it was still a step late.
After scrutinizing the surrounding void, the gaze fell upon Jing Qiu.
"World Venerable, was that just Emperor Yi?"
Doumu’s voice rang out, confirming Emperor Yi’s previous mention that Doumu had been watching him all along—
Jing Qiu said calmly: "Indeed, Emperor Yi tried to persuade me to betray the Heavenly Court."
"How did the World Venerable respond?"
"Having my name on the Investiture of the Gods, how dare I betray?" Jing Qiu sneered.
"Why take offense, World Venerable?" Doumu’s gentle laughter came forth, "Emperor Yi must have been trying to get you to release the Bitter Sea, right? I suppose with the World Venerable’s heart toward all beings, you certainly wouldn’t agree."
Jing Qiu suddenly asked: "What does ’today’s Nether Sea and tomorrow’s Bitter Sea’ mean?"
Doumu’s voice changed instantaneously, coldly stating: "Emperor Yi even dared to reveal this? Desperate times indeed, the saying ’like a dog jumping over a wall’ from the mortal realm is true beyond deception—"
"What do you mean by revealing, can I not hear it now?" Jing Qiu countered.
Doumu paused in silence for a moment before replying: "With your current status, you are qualified to know. It’s actually quite simple; the Bitter Sea is the Nether Sea, or rather, it is the future Nether Sea."
