Beneath the Red Dragon
Chapter 438 - 12: Seven Sins
The late-night wind was particularly sharp. Even the Dragon’s Scales were seeped through with the chill, like cold, metallic sheets.
But the restless heat surrounding the Ancestral Red Dragon was blown away by the cold wind, making Karon feel his mind clearer. This biting chill, before the Red Dragon whose body was exposed without wearing the Magic Energy Armor, was just a warm breeze dispersing heat.
Strolling along the dimly lit corridor, Karon gradually stepped into the warm backyard garden.
In the expansive, deep backyard garden, protection from a Magic Barrier was not even necessary. Under the influence of the World Tree Ovo, the climate here remained at the optimal temperature for the growth of various plants.
The usually serene World Tree Ovo had now grown to a height of twenty-five meters, with a trunk diameter of approximately fifteen meters, appearing extraordinarily sturdy.
The lush canopy that had grown so dense, if not for the World Tree Ovo existing in its peculiar, self-developed space, would undoubtedly overshadow a large part of the garden.
Responding to the faint barking sound transmitted by the ever-blooming Bloodthirsty Flower, Karon strolled through the flower clusters and honey woods, arriving at the base of the World Tree Ovo.
The World Tree Ovo had long noticed the Red Dragon’s arrival, but only now did it emerge from its strange space, casting a large shadow over the garden, leaving only the watery moonlight to filter through the dense branches, scattering drops of luminescent spots.
"Dad, you finally woke up," said the World Tree Ovo. Despite its appearance now, with a body much larger than the Ancestral Red Dragon before it, its tone remained unchanged, filled with its usual reverence and joy.
The lush canopy swayed entirely, countless branches dancing, under the moonlight, as if a gigantic monster twisted its feelers.
From the twisting branches of the World Tree, two plump heads quietly peeked out, their two pairs of eyes blinking like untainted wisdom, twirlingly watching the Red Dragon.
These were two Titan Demon Pythons, Grinek and Haninek, residing on the World Tree Ovo.
At this moment, the two Demon Pythons appeared slightly plumper than before, wrapping their chubby tails around the branches and poking their heads out of the foliage, joyfully exclaiming in unison, "Dad, you’re finally awake! It’s been so long since we’ve seen you."
Karon bared his fangs; he always kept these two Demon Pythons as pets, but seeing the lively young snakes along with the World Tree now, the tranquility in his heart felt more invigorated.
He extended his claws, offering some Heart Power to the two young snakes and the World Tree Ovo, before saying, "It’s about time I woke up; otherwise, you’d have completely taken over my backyard."
"Dad, you’re wrong this time. It’s not us who are trying to take over your garden," Haninek raised its head, eyes shimmering with pride and pride, just about to speak when it was interrupted by its brother Grinek.
"Dad, this time, we’re not useless. We’ve been guarding your castle and backyard here and scared away a Giant Dragon that was eyeing your castle," Grinek eagerly sought to boast to Karon, hoping to receive the Red Dragon’s praise.
Karon furrowed his fine-scaled brow, knowing that the Giant Dragon mentioned by the two Demon Pythons and the World Tree Ovo wasn’t from the Dragon Group. It meant that during this time, a foreign Giant Dragon had arrived in his territory.
He recalled the Fog Dragon he had seen from the mist on the battlefield, Deniro as mentioned by the Ocean Dragon Naxson, and the mysterious Song Dragon that, even when hidden amidst a crowded throng, couldn’t escape the Eye of Truth of the Ancestral Red Dragon.
Could it be one of these two Giant Dragons?
"You’ve done very well, and I’m very satisfied," Karon gave the two young snakes a contented affirmation before asking, "What kind of Giant Dragon was it? Do you know it? Ovo, you’re the smartest, you speak."
The World Tree Ovo shook its branches, its joyful voice resonating in Karon’s mind like a child receiving confirmation, loudly proclaiming, "The Giant Dragon looked very strange, Dad, "
"He openly appeared above the castle, observing the castle’s activity, but the surrounding Warriors and Guardians couldn’t detect the presence of this Giant Dragon; only I could see him, and Grinek and Haninek could also see him with my help."
"This Giant Dragon doesn’t resemble you or the others, Dad, and isn’t as beautiful as you. Although massive in size, I could discern that he was merely a Juvenile Dragon,"
The World Tree Ovo said as it manifested the appearance of the Giant Dragon it had seen at the time in Karon’s mind.
The somewhat blurry image showcased the strange features of this Giant Dragon. It appeared to have no Dragon Scales; its body was of silver-gray skin, towering over sixteen meters long.
The head of this Giant Dragon bore a slight resemblance to the Fog Dragon Deniro, having a broader base near the neck and a narrower part closer to the snout, yet, in overall terms, it was much broader and thicker than the arrow-shaped head of the Fog Dragon.
There were two long whiskers matching the skin color on each side of the Giant Dragon’s nose, more akin to two long leather straps than the tiny whiskers grown under the Golden Dragon’s jaw.
Moreover, this peculiar Giant Dragon, the base of its Dragon Horns seemed like an extension of the entire skull, exceptionally broad and thick, with a pair of Dragon Horns growing inward on the skull like ox horns. The tips of the Dragon Horns were very close together, forming a rhombus-like hollow above the skull, rather than winding back over the skull like other Giant Dragons’ Dragon Horns.
