Beneath the Red Dragon
Chapter 477 - 25: The Future
This is a normal plane world in the Endless World, but for those living in this plane world, their world is so unique and mysterious.
In ancient historical records, the priests and scholars of the Divine Spirit Church knew their world was boundless, roughly divided into four major continents.
The Westeros Continent, Essos Continent, Sosros Continent, and the most mysterious continent located at the extreme southeast of Essos Continent under the mysterious Yaxia Lands—Ulters Continent.
According to historical records, the vast Essos Continent extends from the Narrow Sea at the far left of the continent to the legendary Jade Sea at the far right.
This continent is the origin of the known civilization, and mankind’s first great civilization took root in Old Gis.
Old Gis is situated in the southern, east coastal region of Essos Continent, bordered on the left by the inland sea—Slave Bay.
Old Gis is a slave city-state that created an infantry legion wielding long spears and shields, with tightly knit formations and strict discipline.
Old Gis relied on this legion to expand everywhere, becoming the first large empire in human history, ruling the empire for several centuries.
However, a people rising on the peninsula across the Slave Bay ended Old Gis’s long reign.
This was Valerian, a large island group south of mid-southern Essos Continent, separated by a strait, known as the Smoke Sea.
Valerian is a small structured civilization of shepherds.
This small civilization of shepherds discovered the nest of Demon Dragons in a special area of Valerian—Fourteen Fire Peaks, a massive volcanic group.
After long exploration and learning, Valerians developed the secret art of taming Demon Dragons, training them into ruthless weapons for world conquest.
Valerian had no king; they were led by an elected Great Monarch and called themselves the Fortress of Freedom.
The Fortress of Freedom engaged in five major wars with Old Gis, each ending in Valerian’s victory; in the last, they decided to eradicate completely.
Thus, Magic Dragon Corps razed Old Gis city, burning the majestic pyramids, temples, and houses to the ground with Dragon Flame, leaving land buried under salt, ashes, and bones.
Old Gis people suffered heavy losses, the survivors became slaves; countless died in Valerian mines.
The burning mountains of Fourteen Fire Peaks produced a unique ore used by Valerians to forge the legendary Steel Sword.
As Valerians rose, their demand for ore increased, urging them to intensify conquest to replenish mine slaves.
Eastward, they surpassed the federation regions of Ghis, once ruled by Old Gis; westward, they reached the coast of Essos Continent, establishing multiple colonies.
These conquered colonies later became the forerunners of Free Trade City-States.
In Andes, Valerians defeated Andal, armored in Iron Armor, forcing them to flee to another continent in the west of Essos—Westeros Continent.
Angry Andals settled on Westeros Continent, defeating the Ancestral People and Forest’s Son living there, conquering all land beyond Northern Territory.
They brought the faith in ’Seven Gods’, Knight system, and Ironware to Westeros Continent.
Loy River is the largest river in Essos Continent, also the longest river in the world.
In the Loy River Basin, a civilization as ancient as Old Gis, the Loynar civilization, was nurtured.
Loynar People were pioneers in casting Ironware, also capable of summoning Water Magic, but still defeated before Dragon Fire.
These Loynar People formed a unique race, advocating gender equality, each city ruled by its own Prince and Princess.
When Valerians came for conquest with dragons, Loynar People resisted, led by Prince Galen, with courage and blood against three early conquering Valerian Dragon Kings—families riding Demon Dragons in battle, known as Dragon Kings. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
In addition to the ten-thousand strong vanguard legion and hundreds of towering fierce war elephants sent by Valerian.
But with formidable courage and spirit, Loynar People killed two giant Demon Dragons with magic and crossbows, repelling Valerian’s first advance.
Yet the enraged Fortress of Freedom sent out three hundred giant Demon Dragons, which covered the sky of Loynar People, countless Dragon Flames rained down, warriors burned to ashes, even Loy River boiled and evaporated under Dragon Flame.
Valerians burned Loynar People’s homes, turning countless cities into ruins, survivors sailed to escape to Southern Westeros Continent’s Dorn Desert, settling and living alongside yellow sand ever since.
Thus, the Fortress of Freedom became the world’s strongest empire, and Valerian the world’s proudest people, their territory from the far western Narrow Sea of Essos to the eastern Slave Bay, from the southern Sea of Summer to the northern Shivering Sea of Essos.
The western and central regions of Essos Continent completely submitted to the Fortress of Freedom, except the flat grassland Doss, and the barren wasteland adjacent to Doss, the red Wasteland.
