[BL] Challenge: 100 Baby in Fantasy World
Chapter 317: Staying at Grandma’s House
Langga’s face lit up, clearly waiting for Gara to finish speaking so he could immediately give his approval.
Meanwhile, Gara continued at a steady pace, completely ignoring Langga’s expression.
"Within three days, I’ll find a babysitter for them. But during those three days, I want the triplets’ safety to be the top priority."
He finally asked, "Does Duchess Alterian have time to take care of the triplets?"
Langga nodded quickly. "I’m sure the Duchess will be happy to hear this. She’s been waiting for news from you for a long time." 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
"Thank goodness. I’ll explain everything she needs to pay attention to in person. I’ve also prepared the triplets’ milk, diapers, and toys."
Langga simply nodded along to each of Gara’s words, unaware that the triplets’ belongings were very different from anything he had ever seen before.
"The Duchess can pick up the triplets at Duke Eshaan’s mansion in the capital. When will she come?" Gara asked, wrapping up his explanation.
"This afternoon," Langga replied without hesitation.
"But it’s already afternoon, Professor," Gara said, glancing at the blue sky behind Langga’s chair. "The Duchess might not be free right now."
"Don’t worry. No matter how busy she is, she’ll come to see her grandchildren."
Hearing that, Gara stopped asking further questions.
He returned to class, leaving Langga to contact Duchess Alterian and make the arrangements.
Gara also contacted Wina, who was stunned by how ready and willing the triplets’ paternal grandmother was to help.
"After this, we should let the triplets spend more time with their grandma," Wina said softly, moved by the thought of a grandmother longing for her grandchildren.
Gara only responded with a quiet hum. Wina had said this many times before, but Gara still wasn’t ready. He was afraid something might happen to the triplets.
Once counseling ended, class was dismissed.
Gara immediately left the academy and headed to Duke Eshaan’s mansion. Fian didn’t come along, as he had training with Elowen.
At the mansion, there were no maids or servants freely entering and leaving. Maids were only allowed in once a week for cleaning. On other days, no servants were employed inside.
Gara claimed that he and his mother didn’t like having others living with them. Karon had initially found it unreasonable for such a large mansion to have no live-in maids, but eventually gave in to Gara.
Even so, the mansion was heavily guarded by Duke Eshaan’s knights. This was exactly how Gara wanted it.
Inside the mansion, Gara immediately entered the dimensional home to fetch the triplets.
Wina and Ares had already prepared everything. All that remained was bringing the triplets out.
Before that, Gara took a necklace from his bedside table.
The pendant was a hazel gemstone, strikingly similar to his own eyes.
He had kept this necklace there for a long time, even once considering throwing it away out of frustration toward the person who had given it to him.
But now, he had found the most fitting owner.
He coiled the necklace and gently placed it around Ava’s ankle.
The necklace was made of a sturdy silver chain and a durable pendant. It wouldn’t break even if pulled. Placing it on her ankle also prevented the baby from nibbling on it.
"This necklace is from your father. Daddy can’t use it," Gara whispered softly, kissing Ava’s cheek. "So Daddy is giving it to you."
With a thought, Gara brought himself, Wina, and Ares out of the dimensional home, each of them holding a baby.
Ares helped move the triplets’ belongings to the front room so they would be easier for Duchess Alterian’s people to carry.
At the same time, Gara’s crystal ring glowed.
Langga’s voice came through. "We’re already in front of the mansion, but the knights won’t let us in."
"That fast?!" Gara was genuinely shocked.
Ares, who was carrying a bag of milk, nearly slipped when he heard Langga’s voice.
Then Duchess Alterian’s enthusiastic voice rang out. "My dear Lord Gara, I simply didn’t want you and your mother to struggle. The sooner I come, the lighter your burden becomes, right? Anyway, you—"
"Mother, please calm down a little," Langga cut in.
Not wanting to awkwardly listen to a noble mother-and-son argument, Gara spoke up quickly.
"I’ll inform the knights to let your carriage in."
After that, Gara ended the connection.
He sent Ares back into the dimensional home, then contacted the knights at the gate with his crystal ring while moving the remaining items.
By the time the carriage carrying Syeila and Langga arrived at the mansion entrance, everything had already been moved.
Syeila’s eyes immediately wandered, searching for her grandchildren.
The three tiny babies were sitting in a row on the sofa. Coincidentally, they were behaving themselves, watching their daddy move back and forth while their grandma checked the belongings.
But when an unfamiliar elderly woman approached them, Aldwin immediately tried to climb down from the sofa.
Arion curled up in place, while Ava spread her arms in a protective stance in front of him.
After successfully getting down, Aldwin didn’t run around. Instead, he stretched his small arms out in front of his siblings.
Seeing her grandchildren’s adorable behavior, Syeila felt flowers blooming in her heart. Her eyes grew misty with emotion.
Behind her, Langga was also stunned. He hadn’t expected such a small act to move him so deeply. The triplets were clearly much bigger than the last time he had seen them, back when they couldn’t even walk.
Gara approached the triplets and crouched in front of them.
"Daddy told you we’d be meeting a kind grandma and a strong father today, didn’t he? That’s Grandma and Father for Aldwin, Arion, and Ava."
The three small heads turned in unison toward the two strangers they still regarded as potential villains.
Even at their age, they each had favorite foods. Earlier, Daddy had told them they would be going out to eat something delicious with a kind grandma and a strong father.
Thinking of that, their eyes widened with sparkling anticipation.
Syeila nearly hugged Gara, wanting to praise the man she already considered her future son-in-law for his cleverness.
Once the triplets no longer felt awkward around Syeila and Langga, they were taken away.
Wina and Gara had already explained everything that needed to be said, even preparing written notes. They didn’t act overly presumptuous, as Syeila was also a mother and had experience caring for babies.
The two of them returned to the dimensional home.
Meanwhile, inside the carriage, Langga, who was holding Ava, noticed the ankle chain with the familiar hazel pendant.
