[BL] Challenge: 100 Baby in Fantasy World
Chapter 326: Saving the Elves
Gara was checking the latest harvest in the greenhouse when his crystal ring suddenly glowed.
Fian was asking for his help.
Fian’s voice sounded calm, just like usual, but in the background there were many other sounds, including groans of pain.
Gara didn’t ask what had happened. He agreed immediately.
"If Fian is asking me for help, then it must be serious. Does this have something to do with the elves?"
Not long after, a blonde elf woman appeared at Gyakarta Academy. Gara, who had already been waiting, left with her without hesitation.
In the blink of an eye, both of them disappeared.
When Gara opened his eyes again, what he saw were wooden houses that looked as if they had been completely overturned.
"That’s the tribal center," the elf woman said politely, guiding him forward.
Gara froze when he saw injured elves lying all over the ground.
Fian came out from inside the building and immediately approached him.
"Is it really okay to use that antidote?" Fian asked anxiously.
It wasn’t that he doubted Gara’s antidote. He was worried that Gara might be displeased about a product that wasn’t freely sold being used by others.
Unaware of Fian’s concern, Gara simply nodded.
"It’s fine."
Entering the room Fian had come out of, Gara was greeted by elves whose very presence radiated an unusual aura.
Gara nodded politely to them, and also to Elowen, the only elf he knew besides Fian.
"Where is the patient?" Gara asked in a professional tone.
An old elf pointed toward the bed at the very end of the room. Gara quickly took the antidote out of his satchel.
He stood beside Rihun, whose eyes were still closed, his breathing heavy. Using his water, Gara carefully guided the antidote pill into Rihun’s mouth and down into his stomach.
Faintly, he heard a woman’s anxious voice.
"Is it really okay for an outsider to know about this village?"
"Fian vouched for him. Besides, we’ve never had issues with Duke Eshaan. It should be fine," a man replied.
Ignoring the conversation about himself, Gara examined the stab wound on the elf’s abdomen. The bleeding had stopped, but the area was swelling unnaturally.
Vakua noticed Gara’s gaze and spoke.
"I stopped the external bleeding. I sealed the skin temporarily until a healer arrives."
"What about the internal injuries?" Gara asked, concerned that the organs might be damaged.
"They haven’t been treated yet. There was no healer," the old man replied.
"Sealing the skin without checking the inside will cause other complications," Gara muttered quietly.
He wasn’t trying to blame anyone. It was an unconscious remark made under pressure.
But the elves, with their sharp hearing, caught every word.
Their expressions darkened.
After all, the one Gara had implicitly criticized was their leader, the leader of all elves on the continent.
One of the elders stepped forward, intending to pull Gara away, feeling it was inappropriate for this rude young man to remain.
Before he could take more than one step, he saw Gara draw water from his hand and guide it into Rihun’s mouth.
The elder froze.
So did the other elves.
The antidote had already been administered. Why was he using water again?
Gara turned around and saw their confused expressions. Ignoring them, he asked,
"While we wait for him to wake up, I’ll check the others. There really isn’t a healer here at all, right?"
"There isn’t," Vakua answered. "Did you bring other medicine for them?"
Gara shook his head and looked toward Fian, who apparently hadn’t explained his identity yet.
"I’m a healer," Gara said.
They were visibly shocked.
Some of the elves who knew about Duke Eshaan’s heir only knew him as an alchemy genius. The fact that he was also a healer was not common knowledge.
Gara moved on to the patient beside Rihun. Every elf in this room was either unconscious or only semi-conscious. They couldn’t drink on their own.
Gara had to control his water directly, guiding it into their stomachs.
He also distributed jars of Alrova herbal paste to the elves suffering only external wounds. The medical staff took the jars and tended to the non-critical patients.
Vakua and the elders watched Gara’s movements carefully.
They were efficient.
Within minutes, several unconscious elves began to wake up.
The speed and effectiveness of Gara’s water healing surpassed every healer Vakua had ever seen.
"You should already be the greatest healer on the continent," Vakua said, unable to hold back his curiosity.
"Why are you still attending the academy?"
The elders who had been irritated by Gara’s bluntness earlier now looked at him in a new light.
This young man was no ordinary youth.
Gara, having successfully administered his water to every elf lying in the room, turned toward the old elf.
Suddenly, his head felt light.
His vision blurred, and the ground beneath his feet seemed to sway.
Before Gara could fall, Fian activated his ghost walk and caught him in his arms. Fian’s face turned pale with worry, almost as pale as Gara’s.
"Lay him down in the next room," Vakua ordered.
Fian carried Gara in a bridal hold to the building beside the tribal center. It was a house prepared for guests.
The group followed them. The elders felt a twinge of guilt. Pulling so many elves back from critical condition was not something a single healer should have to bear alone.
Seeing the fuss caused by his collapse, Gara wanted to say that he would be fine, but Fian moved too quickly.
In the blink of an eye, Gara was already laid down on a bed. The elves, naturally swift in movement, had all gathered inside the room as well.
"I brought niskara tea. I’ll be fine," Gara said, turning his head toward Fian.
Fian nodded, though his expression remained clearly worried. He helped Gara drink the niskara tea.
The moment the tea he always carried with him entered his body, Gara felt refreshed again. Although his stamina was drained and using his Talent would be difficult for a while, his body was stable enough to move normally.
Once again, the elves stared in amazement.
Such a drink existed.
"Does that niskara tea contain water of life?" Amara asked, who had been observing quietly all this time.
Gara was slightly startled.
Water of life was a legendary liquid said to cure any disease. It only existed in ancient records.
According to those records, the water of life was hidden in a spring within a mountain now sealed by mist. No one knew whether it truly existed.
Gara suspected that elves, as higher beings with long lifespans, might know something about it. Perhaps they had even seen it before the mist appeared.
He looked at the elf woman and shook his head.
"As its name suggests, niskara tea comes from niskara leaves."
Gara then explained the effects of niskara tea. He also mentioned that a milder version was sold publicly at Alrova Shop.
The stronger effect, however, was not for sale, because what enhanced it was his own water.
The elves, who normally had little interest in new products, silently resolved to visit Alrova Shop once they returned to the capital.
Their conversation was interrupted when an elf reported that other healers had arrived.
Three healers, brought in via teleportation, examined the injured elves. All of them were already stable.
In the end, two of the healers returned to the capital. Only one remained behind to watch over the village until its resident healer recovered.
Not long after, Rihun finally woke up.
The moment his eyes opened, he vomited thick, pitch-black fluid.
One of the elves skilled in toxins examined it.
"This is poison... but I’ve never seen anything like it."
Their gazes turned toward Gara.
"What antidote did you give him?"
Gara immediately realized that this was not merely an ordinary mist monster attack. There was someone behind it.
"The antidote I used is the same one that saved Duke Eshaan," Gara explained.
"I used it because it counters a wide range of poisons. I didn’t expect the toxin itself to be unknown."
Vakua’s expression, along with those of the other elders, turned grim.
No further explanation was needed. There was a conspiracy at play.
"Has the one who poisoned Duke Eshaan been caught?" Baschara asked.
As far as he knew, several people, including the Duke’s son-in-law, were under investigation, but no culprit had been confirmed.
"They’re still investigating," Gara replied.
Vakua and the other elders moved to another room to discuss the details. Gara only caught Amara saying that she would head to Esalavya to speak with Duke Eshaan.
Gara’s work here was done.
Together with Fian, he was teleported back to the front of Gyakarta Academy.
"Elder Vakua will provide a reward for your help today," the elf who teleported them said before leaving.
"Thank you, Gara," Fian said as they walked back toward the dormitories.
"You’re my family," Gara replied. "If you ask for help, I’ll always help."
