"Work on yourself for what exactly?" Matteo demanded. He refused to stand, instead reaching out to wrap his arms tightly around Adrian’s waist, burying his face against Adrian’s stomach before looking up at him from his knees.

Matteo wiped the tears from Adrian’s cheeks with his thumbs, a dangerous glint flashing in his eyes.

"I am so sorry that my guest brought this nonsense into our home. Rian, you have my full permission to deal with Kevin however you see fit. He made you cry, and I don’t take that lightly. Do whatever you want to him."

Hearing the fierce protection in Matteo’s voice, the last of Adrian’s doubts completely vanished. He let out a beautiful smile and nodded, finally accepting the apology.

Matteo smiled back, pulling him into a desperate hug. "I love you so much, Rian."
