Blessing Of Yuri Goddess
Chapter 467 - 59 - Dinner Works
The map, made up of several sheets of paper in front of me, now became my main focus.
Just looking at the detailed map sketches containing some crucial information that would be useful in the future, It make me amaze at Lisa’s incredible memory as an Elf. Every shade of the previously unknown underground map, now transformed into an underground map that served as an emergency route, when Marquess Rommel’s Main Mansion was breached.
"This is going to be a complicated job," as I said that and took a piece of paper from the top of the pile, I immediately took a deep breath when I saw the contents of the report.
"Hmm... some of Marquess Rommel’s knights have discovered a water source that can be drink directly and safe based on Lisa’s information."
"That’s pretty good information, and the code for the water source that can be drink safely is..." My eyes immediately glanced at the map displayed in front of me.
By chance, I felt quite fortunate to have such a clearly report and simply double-checking something that Marquess Rommel’s reconnaissance unit had discovered.
While I was busy taking care of the old castle town that was the sacred territory of the Goddess of Destruction, Marquess Rommel’s knights had been troubled by information from Lisa that revealed a great secret of the Forest Elf race that had been living in the deepest part of the forest.
Information about underground water sources that have their own water flow routes will be another alternative when the river water flowing through Marquess Rommel’s territory dries up during the dry season, or in the event of sabotage to the river flow.
As for sabotaging the river, I think it’s impossible because Zoe’s magic circle has been installed upstream. That’s magic circle serves as a two-way security measure, either to protect those who drink the water or as a backup weapon to control those who drink the water with Zoe’s butterfly wing curse.
"It was an advantage that Marquess Rommel had when we do... something installed upstream," I muttered as I picked up the second report and marked the one I had read as something I had confirmed to be true.
Technically, I can’t confirm the truth of what happened to the river in the underground cave.
However, I given the signature to the report after seeing the samples taken by Knight Marquess Rommel, I’ll assume it’s true, and the paper report gets the stamp of classified information.
"Miioo..." By calling Mio’s name as my military adjutant, she already knew about my next move.
"Yes, Lily-sama," Mio answered my call and immediately separated the sheet of report paper into a small wooden box that was beside her feet.
Srruuggg...
Srruuuggg...
Cttaakkk!!
Before Mio placed the piece of information paper into the small wooden box, she took out a device my mother had invented. It was a small device that turned report paper into black paper. My mother had prepared the device to mark important, confidential reports. I don’t know how it works, but seeing Mio use that little device without any disgust, it’s definitely not magic tools.
Ctaaakkk!!
Ctaaakkk!!
My eyes immediately fell on the second report and saw a hot spring that could be used for bathing in an underground cave.
I didn’t see it as a importance report, but I was certain... it would be useful in the future.
Just like before, I just confirmed the location on the map, matched the code on the map, and looked at the sample report that was already on the table.
"Ugghh..." As I was looking at the sample, my eyes accidentally caught sight of a plate containing dinner and a glass of warm tea that tempted me.
I wanted to take a break and enjoy dinner, but this pile of paper reports had to be read immediately to be sent to my mother.
"Lily-sama, would you mind working while I feed you dinner?" Mio asked, smiling at me.
"..." I just kept quiet when I heard Mio’s question and sighed lightly.
I, who had just returned from the old castle town and looked exhausted, seemed to be easily guessed by Mio, so she gave me a suggestion that I hadn’t thought of before.
"It seems my tiredness and eagerness to enjoy dinner are clearly visible, huh?" I replied with a light smile at Mio.
"I have served Lily-sama since she was little, this kind of thing can be guessed just by looking at Lily-sama’s cold face that rarely shows her expression. I can help Lily-sama enjoy dinner without disturbing Lily-sama’s work performance."
While saying that, Mio immediately approached me and took the plate containing dinner. With her skills as a multitasking maid, Mio displayed the professionalism of both as a maid eager to pamper her Master and as a military aide eager to help, my job done quickly.
Mio immediately took a spoon and cut the dinner into small pieces, so I could eat it in one bite.
"If it’s like this, I’ll just have to work while eating dinner, huh?"
"If only my mother knew that I did something dishonorable for a noble lady like this, I would definitely be forced to learn the manners of a noble lady who is not allowed to bring work to a banquet," I grumbled as I opened my mouth and devoured a mouthful of dinner from Mio.
Choommmp...
Choommmp...
As I bite the spoon that was reaching my mouth, I divided my mind into two distinct parts, the mind that was working diligently and the mind that was trying to enjoy the dinner that Marquess Rommel’s knights had prepared.
Today’s dinner menu, made from vegetables grown on a thriving farm. Although I don’t quite understand the names of the vegetables I’m eating, my instincts, derived from the Goddess of Nature, tell me they’re vegetables that have grown well and received great love from the farmers who planted them.
There was some meat mixed in, most likely cured venison. The flavor wasn’t bad, but the combination of the fresh vegetables and the crispy, dried meat felt out of place.
Ugh, I can’t be a picky eater.
Even though the taste of this dinner was a little strange to my palate, I had to eat it out of respect for those who had cooking it. As long as fresh vegetables were still available and emergency canned food was well-stocked, I couldn’t to be picky about my food until the current supplies ran low.
"Does it taste bad, Lily-sama?"
"Today’s dinner comes from Marquess Rommel’s knights, who are not skilled at cooking. If Lily-sama is willing to wait a little longer, I can cook a new dinner for Lily-sama," said Mio, who knew what was in my head and read the difficulties I was currently experiencing.
I immediately shook my head and refused Mio’s offer.
"It does taste strange, but that doesn’t mean it’s not delicious."
"I love the sweet and savory taste of the vegetables mixed with this dried meat."
"It doesn’t taste as good as the food you make, but it’s enough for my dinner." While saying that, I gave a small signal to Mio to immediately feed me.
Mio smiled and fed me another bite of food. Working and enjoying dinner seemed like a pretty effective way to do it.
Hopefully, no one would report my dishonor behavior of working and eating at the same time.
I became jealous of my father, who often did this with Sebastian.
Ugh, dinner and work...
It seems... that it is a normal and common thing that happens to male nobles.
Choommmp...
Choommmp...
I tried to push aside any other thoughts in my head and focused on the report in front of me. As I read the contents of the report Madam Estelle had prepared, I noticed several things related to the underground cave whose existence had been confirmed.
A reports of wild monsters, ordinary plants, and magical plants intertwine, forming a vast ecosystem, consisting of two distinct parts, the above-ground ecosystem, part of the dense forest, and the underground cave ecosystem, part of the underground side of the forest.
With these two different parts, there will be various potentials that can be utilized.
Choommmp...
Choommmp...
While enjoying a bite of dinner from Mio, I speed up my work by marking the location points on the map where they obtained plant or monster samples, before another report comes in.
Of course, I made sure of it carefully so that I don’t have to do double work just to ensure the accuracy of the information.
In addition, my hands are also actively providing special marks regarding dangerous and safe forest areas.
Sllaaapp...
Slaappp...
With my concentration high and my mind filled with various considerations of the future, I unconsciously entered a slow-moving time zone without engaging in battle.
"Hmmm... slow-moving time zone?"
"I’m not being attacked by something I don’t know about, am I?"
I was a little doubtful about my eyes seeing this slow time zone, but my danger instincts were not active, and I doubted this.
While finishing the thinning report paper in front of me, my hand moved to mark several places that Lisa said held... some nature surprises.
"Huuumm... this place, huh?"
"If my mother knew there was a place like this, she would definitely be happy and want to visit this place immediately."
