Chapter 170: Purple Profound Civilization With Both Good And Bad Luck!
What was going on?
Saint Mother Civilizations were welcomed by most civilizations across the All Heavens and Myriad Realms. Only a very small number of civilizations harbored strong hostility toward them.
So what could make Bone Lord Karth reveal such undisguised disgust, even if only for a brief moment?
The answer was obvious.
A Breeder Civilization, or at least one with Breeder tendencies.
Good heavens.
What a combination.
Noah glanced at Auron, who was filled with excitement, believing that he had finally found hope for his civilization’s survival, and couldn’t help but feel speechless.
A Saint Mother Civilization, a Breeder-type Civilization, and himself, a cautious observer.
What kind of luck did the Purple Profound Civilization have to attract three completely different forces with a single random distress signal?
...
"As for the next course of action, I will take command. Do either of you have any objections?"
Sally looked at Noah and Bone Lord Karth.
"With Lady Sally in command, things will certainly be much smoother," Bone Lord Karth said with a light chuckle, appearing calm and agreeable.
"Same here," Noah replied.
Sally nodded and began assigning tasks.
The Fourth-Order monsters from the five Disasters were scattered across the planet. They needed to be dealt with first before addressing the issue of closing the spatial passages.
The Dawn Civilization was a Saint Mother Civilization, not a foolish one. The fact that Sally had been sent here meant she was far from naive.
She did not fully trust Noah or the three from the Netherbone Civilization.
Fortunately, even a Breeder-type Civilization would actively deal with Disasters. At least for now, there was no need to worry about any hidden schemes.
A total of thirty-seven Fourth-Order monsters had invaded the Purple Profound Civilization. After Noah and the others eliminated five, thirty-two remained, scattered across the planet.
Aside from the Fourth-Order monsters, there were also several thousand Third-Order, hundreds of thousands of Second-Order, and more than ten million First-Order monsters.
In terms of sheer numbers, this was far less than the Ghost-Level Calamity that had invaded Blue Star.
Although the Demonized Monsters that attacked Blue Star were overwhelming in scale, most of them were only First-Order. No matter how numerous, they were merely cannon fodder.
The number of Third-Order monsters there was far lower than in the Disaster currently facing the Purple Profound Civilization, not to mention the presence of Fourth-Order monsters.
Of course, the Purple Profound Civilization was facing five simultaneous Disasters.
Under the guidance of dozens of Purple Profound warriors, Noah headed toward a basin where a Fourth-Order monster was stationed.
With Auron, the Child of Civilization, leading the way, locating these Fourth-Order monsters was not difficult.
Not only Noah, but Bone Lord Karth and his two companions from the Netherbone Civilization also set out with groups of Purple Profound warriors.
Together with Sally and Auron’s group, they split into three separate routes to eliminate the scattered Fourth-Order monsters. Their goal was to destroy as many as possible before the monsters realized something was wrong. The more they killed, the better.
On Noah’s route, since he was the only Fourth-Order combatant, his task was the lightest. He only needed to deal with five Fourth-Order monsters in total.
Three hours later, the group arrived at the basin.
"The first one."
Noah looked down.
Within the basin, which spanned tens of thousands of square kilometers, countless monsters crowded together. They opened their massive jaws, biting into the purple crystals growing across the land and devouring them greedily.
Those incredibly hard crystals, which would normally be nearly indestructible, were like crunchy candy to them, easily chewed and swallowed.
"Our purple crystals... these damned beasts!"
Watching the purple crystals below being rapidly devoured, the eyes of the Purple Profound warriors burned with fury.
They were metallic lifeforms, and these purple crystals were essential for their survival. This basin was one of the most important resource fields of the Purple Profound Civilization. Seeing it being consumed by monsters filled them with rage.
If not for the overwhelming number of enemies, especially the presence of a Fourth-Order monster, they would have already charged in and slaughtered everything in sight.
"Ronan Stoneheart, Child of the Mountain Civilization..."
The Purple Profound warriors all turned toward Noah.
"Alright. Kill."
Noah maintained his brute, straightforward persona and took the lead, charging directly toward the Fourth-Order monster at the center of the basin.
The Purple Profound warriors followed closely behind.
It was like kicking a hornet’s nest.
The monsters, their feeding interrupted, let out furious roars and surged toward them in waves.
Noah was fearless. With his current strength, even a casual slap generated a shockwave powerful enough to annihilate large numbers of monsters.
The Fourth-Order monster in the basin was not particularly strong. Noah crushed it with just two punches. After eliminating a portion of the Third-Order monsters, the remaining creatures immediately scattered in panic and fled.
Noah and his group did not pursue them. Instead, they immediately rushed toward the next location.
"The second one."
"The third one."
Twenty hours later, Noah successfully completed his mission, killing all five Fourth-Order monsters assigned to him.
Among them, the fourth and fifth were the most troublesome. By then, the monsters had already realized that a powerful Awakener capable of easily killing them had appeared on the planet.
They immediately fled toward the spatial passages, attempting to escape.
However, the number of spatial passages capable of allowing Fourth-Order monsters to pass through was extremely limited. Across all five Disasters, there were only nine in total.
These nine spatial passages were not shared. Each belonged to a different Disaster.
If two Disasters encountered each other, they would likely fight first. The five Disasters invading the Purple Profound Civilization were not aligned, making cooperation impossible. This internal conflict was one of the key reasons the Purple Profound Civilization had managed to survive until now.
As a result, attempting to escape through another Disaster’s spatial passage was almost the same as courting death.
The fourth Fourth-Order monster was too far from its own spatial passage and was caught and killed by Noah before it could escape.
The fifth Fourth-Order monster, however, met an even more miserable fate.
It had already reached its spatial passage, with more than half of its body entering the rift. But Noah arrived just in time and forcibly dragged it back out.
There was no helping it.
It took time for a Fourth-Order monster to pass through a Third-Order spatial passage. Back in the Western Desert, the Demonized Giant Ape had taken half an hour to fully cross over.
As for the incident in the Eastern Ocean, where several Fourth-Order monsters passed through in just three minutes, that had required prior reinforcement of the spatial passage.
The Disaster to which the fifth Fourth-Order monster belonged had clearly made no such preparations.
In fact, it was uncertain whether they even possessed the capability to do so.
