Chapter 190: Terrifying Void Shock II
Noah activated Insight and looked at the Demon King.
[Black Wolf Demon (Upper-level Demon, Lord-level)]
[Rank: Fourth Order]
[Attributes: Strength 3.6 million, Agility 4.5 million, Constitution 3.8 million, Spirit 4 million]
The final boss of the Demon-Infested World instance wasn’t a Fifth-Order existence, but a Fourth-Order. Even so, its strength was anything but weak.
"As expected of a Lord-level," Noah muttered.
Its skills were somewhat lacking, with only three at the Perfect grade. But with such terrifying attributes alone, it was already an extremely difficult opponent. Noah had his burst abilities, and as a boss, there was no way it didn’t have its own trump cards.
And yet, even a Demon King of this level had been pushed to the brink of death by Void Shock.
Noah now had a much clearer understanding of the true power of this Epic skill.
Unlike his other abilities, Void Shock’s vibration damage wasn’t tied to his attributes. It dealt fixed damage, increasing only with the skill’s level.
At first glance, fixed damage didn’t seem particularly impressive.
But this was an Epic-grade skill.
Epic skills corresponded to Sixth- and Seventh-Order instances. If Void Shock’s level had been higher, and if it had been designed purely for maximum damage instead of control, then a single activation might have been enough to wipe out everything, including the Demon King.
Even in its current state, it was already more than powerful enough.
"It’s over."
Looking at the dying Black Wolf Demon sprawled on the ground, Noah stepped forward and threw a single punch, ending the life of the infamous Demon King.
Giant demon corpses littered the ground, shattered beyond recognition, their life force completely extinguished.
Thick rivers of blood spread across the earth, and the marks of a brutal battle were everywhere.
After wiping out the dozens of low-level demons under his command, Ethan finally paused to catch his breath. Supporting himself with his massive tail, he looked toward the distant Demon Capital.
He saw Noah turn into a bolt of lightning and appear above the city. He also saw more than a dozen demons reveal their true forms and charge at him.
Ethan’s heart tightened, a trace of worry surfacing.
Then, suddenly—
the void trembled.
In the next instant, those charging demons exploded into clouds of blood mist.
Before Ethan could even process the shock, something felt off.
Wait... where was the Demon Capital?
A city that massive had been there just moments ago. How could it simply vanish?
All he could see now were ruins stretching endlessly, the sky choked with dense blood mist. And in the center stood the enormous Demon King, forced into its true form.
"...Holy crap." 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
Ethan’s eyes widened.
"Did Boss just wipe out the entire Demon Capital in one move?"
Ethan stood there in disbelief, his mind completely blown.
That was the Demon Capital.
He had spent the past two days moving within it. He knew exactly how many demons were gathered there and just how terrifying their strength was.
If he had been exposed even slightly, he would have been killed within minutes.
And yet, a place like that had been wiped out by Noah in an instant.
Not just that, after several waves of Void Shock, even the ruins of the Demon Capital had nearly disappeared.
A message suddenly came through.
"I’m leaving first. Be careful. The Heavenly Rank Demon Executioner from the Demon Suppression Division should be arriving soon."
Ethan snapped back to his senses and quickly reverted to his human form.
He had no intention of being mistaken for a demon and casually killed by a Heavenly Rank Demon Executioner.
The two of them left one after the other.
Moments later, Kael arrived at incredible speed.
But the further he flew, the more confused he became.
He knew the exact location of the Demon Capital.
He had already reached it.
So... where was it?
The once-mighty city of demons had completely vanished without a trace.
Kael couldn’t help but wonder if he had flown to the wrong place.
That doubt lasted only until he saw it.
The massive, thousand-meter corpse of the Black Wolf Demon lay on the ground like a collapsed mountain of flesh, lifeless and broken.
He looked again at the blood mist filling the sky and the shattered land below.
An unbelievable thought rose uncontrollably in his mind.
...
The Demon Country had been destroyed. The Demon King was dead.
The news spread from Thalrion City at an astonishing speed, sweeping across the entire Velmora Dynasty.
At first, very few believed it. It sounded too absurd, like a ridiculous rumor.
But when the authorities stepped forward to confirm it, disbelief turned into shock.
It was real.
In an instant, the entire world was shaken.
The Thalrion City army mobilized immediately, marching straight into the former territory of the Demon Country. They began clearing out the remaining demons.
The Demon Capital had housed the core forces of the Demon Country.
And those forces had already been wiped out by Noah.
Though many demons still remained scattered across the land, their strength was far inferior. Under the joint suppression of the Demon Suppression Division and civilian forces, they were either killed or forced to flee.
A once-mighty Demon Country collapsed almost overnight.
With the destruction of the only Demon Country that openly opposed the Velmora Dynasty, the demons were forced back into hiding. Their once-rampant momentum was severely crippled.
Rose and the others joined the army advancing into the former Demon Country, slaying a considerable number of demons along the way.
...
Two days later, Varkesh City.
A streak of lightning tore through the sky and appeared above the city.
Noah stood in the air, gazing down at the endless white mist below. It stretched for over a hundred miles, thick and impenetrable, giving off an eerie, unsettling aura.
"Please wait, great hero!"
Just as Noah began descending toward the mist, a familiar voice called out from behind.
"As expected," Noah thought, remaining completely calm.
He had intentionally delayed his arrival by two days, giving the Demon Suppression Division enough time to respond.
Three figures approached rapidly from behind. Among them was Kael.
With the Demon King and the majority of mid-level demons already wiped out, the remnants of the Demon Country posed little threat. Kael had no reason to remain in Thalrion and had come straight to Varkesh City instead.
