Chapter 229: Extraordinary Lifeform II
The last designated reward.
There was no golden or orange light this time, but Noah wasn’t disappointed. After all, he had already profited immensely.
His gaze quickly swept across the purple lights. Finding nothing particularly satisfying, he hesitated for a moment before glancing downward and suddenly freezing.
"This thing..."
[Red Crystal Fruit Tree]
[Quality: Rare]
[Type: Sapling, Special Item]
[Requires an extremely high-grade growth environment and must be planted on a medium spirit vein. It flowers in three years, bears fruit in three years, and fully matures in another three years. Consuming a Red Crystal Fruit increases Strength by 40,000, Agility by 30,000, Constitution by 50,000, and Spirit by 40,000.]
"One Red Crystal Fruit can increase attributes by this much?"
Noah was stunned.
This wasn’t a one-time-use item, but a special item that could be cultivated. Like the Wuhan Root Seedling and Yellow Marrow Rice, it possessed a unique classification in its type, meaning it could be propagated and farmed.
Of course, the Red Crystal Fruit Tree’s environmental requirements were far too demanding, making large-scale cultivation nearly impossible. Even so, its value was still astonishing.
Noah glanced at the time. There was still three minutes remaining.
He wasn’t in a hurry to leave, so he began checking the changes brought by his Ascension.
The first thing he examined was naturally his Talents.
Just like before, the description of his Talents hadn’t changed, but their effects had clearly become much stronger.
Undying and Unbreakable.
The duration of the Absolute Defense state after resurrection had been extended by another minute, now lasting a full three minutes.
Growing Stronger with Each Breath.
The daily increase in total attributes had risen from the original 43,200 to 150,000.
Insight.
Its consumption had been reduced once again.
"The attribute growth still isn’t fast enough," Noah muttered with slight regret.
The attribute range for Fifth Order experts was between 1 million and 10 million, greatly increasing the upper limit.
Noah’s current attributes were only a little over 10 million. Adding the 7 million attribute crystals rewarded for clearing the Hundred Year Agreement Instance Dungeon, his total would reach just over 20 million at most.
Even so, it was still far below Noah’s current limit.
Noah then looked at his current Combat Art percentage, 170%.
It wasn’t particular high.
However, Noah knew very well that this was already his current Combat Art limit. It meant he could challenge up to the 170th floor of the Sky Piercing Tower. The Combat Art shown on his attribute panel could not exceed that limit.
With 20 million attributes and 170% Combat Art, he could unleash power equivalent to 34 million attributes.
It sounded incredibly strong, but Noah understood that if his attributes increased further, even by another 20 million, his Combat Art likely wouldn’t drop below 150%. At that point, his effective strength would be equivalent to 60 million.
Therefore, maintaining an excessively high Combat Art percentage was meaningless. Increasing his attributes was the true path to becoming stronger.
As long as his Combat Art remained above 100%, the returns were extraordinarily high. Even if it fell below 100%, the efficiency would simply decrease. The overall gain would still remain positive.
Unfortunately, the Fifth Order Instance had not yet unlocked, and relying solely on the 150,000 daily attributes from his Talent was far too inefficient.
"I have an Epic level soul type passive skill, and with the enhancement from my Talent, my Combat Art limit is still only 170%. I wonder just how strong the people on the Sky Piercing Tower rankings really are."
Noah sighed inwardly, realizing that he should not underestimate the people of this world.
Those standing at the very top must possess incredibly powerful minds, wills, and souls.
As for those ranked lower, it was difficult to say. Perhaps one aspect of them was exceptionally strong, or maybe they had developed themselves evenly in every area.
Still, Noah did not belittle himself either. The enhancement his Talent provided to his mind, will, and soul was actually quite limited and required a long period of accumulation. In the short term, he could not compare to Awakeners who possessed Talents specifically focused on the mind, will, or soul.
An Epic level skill alone did not mean much.
The All Heaven and Myriad Realms were simply too vast, and all kinds of situation could exist. Perhaps in certain Awakened Worlds, mind, will, and soul type skills were easy to obtain. Perhaps some Awakeners possessed heaven defying luck and acquired Mythical Grade items at low levels.
After shaking his head, Noah pushed those thoughts aside.
As for the Pioneer title, there was no need to mention it. It had automatically synthesized itself. This was already the Fifth Pioneer title Noah had obtained, and the current bonus had reached an astonishing 15% increase to his true attributes.
Afterward, Noah shifted his attention to the new inherent skill he had just Awakened.
[Extraordinary Lifeform][Type: Passive, Inherent Skill]
[Your life essence has transcended the ordinary, evolving into a higher level lifeform. Your vitality becomes extremely vigorous, allowing you to survive in many extreme environments. Defense increases by 100%, life recovery speed greatly increases, and you gain 30% immunity to all damage.]
"So after advancing to a Fifth Order expert, as long as one’s physique reaches 10 million, they become an Extraordinary Lifeform?"
Noah fell into deep thought.
It was somewhat similar to the difference between immortals and mortals described in legends.
Of course, this Extraordinary Lifeform was nowhere near that exaggerated.
Even so, it was still incredibly powerful. Increased vitality, enhanced recovery speed, a 100% boost in defense, and most terrifying of all, a 30% reduction to all incoming damage.
Among Fifth Order experts, Extraordinary Lifeforms could easily overpower others of the same level.
"Good thing it doesn’t enhance soul strength, and Godslayer’s multiplier is high enough," Noah thought with some relief.
The Demon Lord was undoubtedly an Extraordinary Lifeform.
Noah’s Godslayer strike, the one that completely annihilated the Demon Lord’s soul, had actually been reduced by 30% due to the damage immunity of an Extraordinary Lifeform.
If not for the Destruction Form doubling the skill’s effect and raising its multiplier to fifteen times the damage, the attack might not have been enough to kill the Demon Lord in a single strike.
