Born Without Magic… So What?
Chapter 20: The Empty Treasure Room
After Arya took everything from the room, he left it.
But as he was about to walk out of the treasure room, he suddenly stopped.
He remembered something.
This was a Trial.
When he stored the magic items inside his Storage Skill, they did not disappear.
That meant everything he collected was still inside his Storage.
Even all the gold and treasures.
A faint smile appeared on Arya’s face.
Those treasures would definitely help him on his future journey.
Without wasting another moment, he stored everything inside the treasure room.
Gold.
Jewels.
Treasures.
Nothing was left behind.
The once-filled treasure room became completely empty.
Then Arya came out of the room and returned to Rohan’s room.
He closed the door behind him.
Although he had obtained many rare items, he still did not understand how to pass the first Trial.
Arya walked toward the bed.
Then he took out the magic items he had collected from the treasure room.
Weapons.
Rings.
Necklaces.
Scrolls.
Strange crystals.
There were also several powerful weapons made from rare materials.
Arya first picked up one ring.
He looked at it carefully.
It did not even have a name.
Curious, he slowly put the ring on his finger.
The moment he wore it, the mana inside his body began to glow.
Then Arya’s body slowly disappeared.
He had become invisible.
"So this is an Invisible Ring..."
Arya moved one of the small glowing crystals.
Instantly, the invisibility disappeared.
It seemed moving the crystal canceled the effect.
Without taking the ring off, he decided to keep wearing it.
Next, he looked at the necklaces.
He did not need them for now, so he put them back into his Storage.
Then he checked the scrolls.
Thanks to the information shown by his Storage Skill, he already knew their names and uses.
Since he did not need them at the moment, he stored them away as well.
Now only the strange crystals remained.
They glowed softly.
Some were large, while others were small.
Each one had a different shape and color.
There were four of them.
Blue.
Red.
White.
And black.
When Arya looked at them closely, their names appeared above them.
Blue Crystal — Healing Magic Stone.
It could heal injuries by consuming mana.
After all its mana was used, it would become an ordinary stone.
The others worked the same way.
Red Crystal — Fire Magic Stone.
Arya already had Fire Magic, so he did not need it right now.
Still, he kept it.
If his mana became low, it might prove useful.
Next was the white crystal.
White Crystal — Direction Stone.
It could show the direction the user wanted, but only once.
The last one was the black crystal.
Black Magic Stone.
Even though they were called magic stones, they were actually crystals.
They did not look natural.
Instead, they looked like something someone had created long ago.
Arya put the blue, red, and black crystals back into his Storage.
Only the white crystal remained in his hand.
If its description was true, then it could show him the way out of the first Trial.
Was this the hint the System wanted him to find?
Even so, Arya still could not believe it.
The Trial should be much harder than this.
It could not be so easy.
After thinking for a moment, Arya guessed that the real danger was probably waiting near the end of the first Trial.
There might be traps ahead.
Otherwise, there was no way the Trial would end this easily.
Then, without wasting any more time, Arya wanted to leave.
But before he could open the door, he heard many guards standing outside the room.
At first, Arya thought they had discovered he had taken the treasures.
He quietly moved closer to the door and listened.
"The treasure room is empty after Sir Rohan left."
"But we didn’t see Sir Rohan carrying anything."
"There is no way one person could take all of those treasures."
"Wait... our Lord is coming this way to ask Sir Rohan about this matter."
The guards continued talking among themselves.
After hearing everything, Arya frowned.
If they found him here, he would only get himself into trouble.
A few moments later, the Lord arrived outside Rohan’s room with several other people.
The moment they saw him, all the guards lowered their heads respectfully.
"Is Rohan inside?" the Lord asked.
"Yes, my Lord," one of the guards replied immediately.
"Call him."
The guard stepped forward and knocked on the door.
"Sir Rohan."
There was no response.
He knocked again.
"Sir Rohan, please open the door. The Lord is here to visit you."
Still...
No response.
The Lord’s expression gradually became serious.
He felt something was wrong.
Finally, he gave the order.
"Break the door."
"Yes, my Lord."
Two guards immediately stepped forward.
They took a few steps back before rushing forward.
Bang!
One of them kicked the door with all his strength.
The door shook violently, but it did not open.
Bang!
Another heavy kick landed on it.
A small crack appeared.
The two guards continued kicking it again and again.
After several powerful kicks, the door finally broke apart and crashed onto the floor.
Without hesitation, the Lord and the others immediately rushed inside.
Then, when they entered the room, they found it completely empty.
The Lord’s eyes narrowed.
"Search the room."
The guards immediately spread out.
Some searched under the bed.
Some opened every cabinet and drawer.
Others checked the bathroom and every corner of the room.
They searched carefully, leaving no place unchecked.
But after several minutes...
They found nothing.
Rohan was nowhere to be seen.
The room was completely empty.
The Lord frowned.
"I have a bad feeling about this."
"I think something has happened to Rohan. He may be in danger."
He immediately turned toward the guards.
"Search the entire castle."
"Check every room, every hallway, and every corner."
"Go now."
"Yes, my Lord!" 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
The guards quickly bowed before rushing out of the room.
Soon, everyone left to search the castle, leaving the room empty once again.
